The best movies theatre I have ever been to. Good value for snacks and food, comes out quick, quick orders, attentive and great service. Since the expansion in the parking lot the parking situation isnt great and during the holidays and new year the popular movies will sell out. HORRIBLE. Empty theater and they claimed we were being disruptive. Even the boy (movie attendant) who had to kick us out apologized for having to do so. He said his manager was forcing him when we were being silent. We laughed at the movie (Love Hurts) once. Absolutely ridiculous! i went with my mom once because we had wanted to go to a late movie for a while. her friends had recommended it saying it was a high quality movie theater and was worth their money. when we arrived it was PACKED. prices were definitely affordable and seats were outrageously comfortable. food was well priced and popcorn was worth it. stag was excellent and nice people. i will be visiting again. read more

Um WOW . I wish all movie theaters were like this. SIMPLE! They have 5 or 6 screens in relatively small theater rooms. This makes for never getting a bad seat. But can be a pain on opening nights or busy times. Even at its busiest however, I have not ever had an issue with parking, getting a ticket or seating. Obviously if you go to a much-anticipated movie on opening night, expect some bumps in the road. The staff is all high school kids. Some are kind and helpful, most are snobby little girls that will some day be snobby do-nothing trophy wives. Little interaction is needed with staff anyhow. Fandango tickets are purchasable ahead of time. There is a TON of $1 candy next door at Dollar Tree, so skip that here. But they do have delicious pop corn and slushies. The lines for concessions are usually not bad either, and the kids are efficient. Prices of course are high, but nowhere like AMC or Showcase. Not even close. same goes for ticket prices. Movies are $5 on Tuesday afternoons. SWEET No they don't have IMAX and if they did have 3D it would be quite the attraction for Gardner but honestly its a nice , clean .relatively new (early 2000s) theater and we love to come here on a whim as it isn't a hike into the city or wilderness. They let a busload of rude & loud people run the theater on Friday nights! Don't go on Friday nights. Yes, that goes for most theaters, but this one is worse. There's a whole busload of people who are very loud and rowdy during the films that go "every Friday night" apparently according to the manager. Clearly they won't kick the group out or really stop them from being so loud and disruptive during the movie that other people pay for when that whole group practically guarantees them a sold out theater every Friday night. I was there last night and the people in the theater were quite literally yelling at the screen and to their friends, banging on chairs along to the music in the film, throwing their arms up for no reason, and flashes were going off on people's phones multiple times during the film. My boyfriend got up to complain twice. When he came back the first time he said that an employee had said they'd already had FOUR complaints from that theater (this was about 20 minutes into the film), and the second time he complained he said that an employee said "we've got another one", referencing the same theater. There were multiple employees who came and stood in the theater for long periods of time, and at one point one of them went over to the loudest group and spoke to them. However, nothing was actually done. I had debated getting up and leaving many times during the film since it was impossible to focus on without distractions, and I feel like I didn't really even see the movie. That being said, we decided to talk to the front desk about a refund after the film. This is where things get a little fishy for me. First we talked to an employee and we explained the situation, and she asked if we had complained (sidenote, at this time the same loud group was literally yelling in the lobby and the employee was looking at them wondering what was going on since they were being so loud). We said we had, twice. She went back to get the manager. The manager comes to the front and we explained again what happened. She looked at us like we were insane, and said she was in there multiple times for over 20 minutes and that she didn't hear anything and that nothing got reported back. I said that was interesting since we watched an employee actually walk over and talk to the group. She didn't have anything to say about that. Basically no matter what we said, she kept saying "well I didn't personally see that, so I can't do anything about it" in a sort of condescending was as if we were lying. She claimed that "this group is in here every Friday night, so there's not much I can do." Then she said very reluctantly that "I'll give you the passes this time, but I just personally didn't see anything" again, as if we were lying, as if they hadn't had MULTIPLE complaints, and as if an employee hadn't talked to that group. It's EXTREMELY clear that they let this group walk all over them and let them do whatever they want since they're selling that many guaranteed tickets every Friday night. They have no backbone and won't do anything about those people being loud and disruptive to other respectful paying customers. Look, I've been coming to this theater for years. It's an alright theater, if you don't have to deal with management. That manager put a nasty taste in my mouth, and I might consider switching to Cinemaworld or Athol Cinemas. At least there they haven't sold out to noisy, disruptive, annoying, and rude busloads of people. (PS, clean the screens! Especially in theater 7, where all of the new release movies take place. There's a noticeable few huge blotches of stains on the screen.) read more

Gardner cinemas is a hidden gem. Seats are comfortable. Staff is generally nice, although young, which is standard in this movie theatre industry. Pricing is what it is, there isn't much you can do about that, EXCEPT....you can get their frequent movie card to earn points, then get free stuff. I like this theatre and will continue to go. read more

My family living in orange, ma love this movie theater! It offers wonderful prices, unmatched anywhere around here. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The concession stand offers the usual popcorn, nachos, sodas, ice-e's, Kid's snack special, and assorted candies. Recently in the room I was in the seats had been updated as well to much more comfortable seats. All kids seem to enjoy the video games in the main room, crane game, motorcycle racing game, hunting game, basketball shooting game, and more. Bathrooms are always clean whenever I've been there. "Cheap ass tickets bro" says my little sister. The tickets here are sooo inexpensive. You can save your money and meander the plaza - buy some goodies at dollar tree before your flick, and still have money to hit up BK on the way home. The theater is kinda clean, the help - young and not so clean, the patrons? All over the place, old, young, annoying, annoyed, and literally all over the place. I have yet to see a show sell out here though. Concession isn't as expensive as anything we in Boston are used to. And with ticket prices cheaper than a matinee in Boston, it's easy to be talked into taking one in when in the boonies. read more

Prices are fair, popcorn is fresh, staff is friendly. Seats are nice and comfortable. I love that they offer a Frequent movie card to earn free movie tickets and free popcorn. They offer 3D movies, booster seats for the little guys that need them and birthday party options. The only negative thing is the parking...while there is a nice big parking lot to park in there are also other businesses in the plaza so parking can be a bit of a pain depending on the time of the movie you are going too. read more

After buying the movie tickets we purchased expensive stale, bland tasting popcorn... There wasn't anyone around for us to hand our tickets to... Or, even to ask which way was the numbered theatre we were looking for was... After the movie ended my son went over to the basketball machine... He put four quarters in it and nothing happened... I looked underneath and saw that it was unplugged, in spite of the fact that the hour of closing had NOT arrived. I looked around and COULDN'T find anyone that worked there... I went to the concession stand and looked around... It looked like there was movement behind the glass... A boy and a woman... I knocked on the glass and waited awhile. I had to knock again... Still I had to wait awhile before the woman got out of her chair and came out to the concession stand. She came out and gave me the nastiest look for bothering her... She didn't even speak... Just stare at me in disgust... I told her I needed four quarters because the machine had eaten my sons quarters... She was insulting and rude... Telling me he SHOULDNT BE TRYING TO PLAY THE GAME. She said "Doesn't your kid have any common sense to not put quarters in to a machine that's not working" I said "How are we supposed to not know its not working?" She got angry when she looked over to the machine and saw that it was "on" and said, "he had NO RIGHT to plug it in... We want to go home" I told her "he didn't do it... I did" She made more NASTY comments and told us to "GET OUT! We're closed." I asked her "who the manager was" and to my absolute shock she told me "she was the manager" What an ABSOLUTELY HORRIFIC EXPERIENCE! The disrespect my family was treated with is shameful! All because the "manager" obviously doesn't enjoy her job (shuts off the games early) and just wanted to go home. Her tone of voice of condescending and uterally riddled with contempt and rudeness. The female "manager" obviously feels her position gives her the control and authority to treat customers like absolute sh...t! We went to the movie theatre to create memories as a family. What a waste of money and time. They need to retrain they're employees on how to do their job and treat customers with respect and appreciation. They should have a manager who acts like she likes her job and even likes people in general. Her attitude stinks! Her attitude, disrespect, and tone of voice... Not to mention insulting my child... This is the cleanest and friendlies movie theatre in central mass. Great staff always friendly and the place is always spotless. Brand new seats are very comfortable and the sound system will shake your seats. Highly recommend this place for kids birthday parties as well. read more

Great small town movie theater for a decent price, $5 matinée and $7.50 evening. They have two slightly larger 3D theaters and i believe 6 smaller ones. All have digital projectors with Dolby surround sound. The entire facility is clean and well kept. Concession prices are average. I like the fact I can see a first run movie for the same price it costs to rent or get on PPV months later. read more

The prices are good for what's being charged these days, but pay extra for the real 3D experience. (ie IMAX, Highlights 3D pictures with perforated red and blue plastic in paper frames.) The 3D glasses are horrible for watching movies, you have to avoid the glare from the inside of the curved, glassy lens, and have the perfect nose to hold the glasses in the right spot. The viewing area is also quite small, so you may choose to sit in the very back of the theater to see the WHOLE screen in 3D. Great place for kids, cause they won't know the difference. The people who make the decisions on which 3D glasses to buy obviously have never tried to watch a 3D movie in their own theater with the same glasses their customers use. read more

Being in Gardner (and in a strip mall), I expected this place to be a complete dump. I was pleasantly surprised. The theater seems recently renovated and is always clean whenever I go. Prices are completely reasonable, concessions are good, and this has now become my go to area theater for movies. Seats are surprisingly comfortable, bathrooms are clean, no issues with sound or projection, and the staff is always friendly and do their best to move the concession lines along. True story: I went with my girlfriend to see a matanee on a Tuesday to see a movie (I think it was Cowboys Vs. Aliens). We were running late but because the show was empty they restarted the movie for us!!! Not to mention that this place is so much less expenisive then some of those chain-theatres.
