I am furious! After a sales associate told us we could get all of our furniture delivered in two days, we waited over a month for our headboard from Gardener White. They could not put the bed together without it. Finally, when they bring the headboard, they show up at 10:30 at night, and scratched my freshly painted walls. After unboxing the rest of the bed, the guy tells us, "somethings wrong with the drawer on the bed, you'll have to call someone". Proceded to leave the mess from unpackaging in our room, even though I paid for them to take the boxes with them. Every piece of furniture we got has some defect. Gardner white has done nothing to help our situation. Do not trust this company! After paying so much, you would think they would be willing to help, but no. I would give zero stars if I could! I will never shop there again.

10/31: now our table is cracking and the paint is peeling See previous review 11/6/22- now they won't deal with it when they literally delivered the table top last month Do yourself a HUGE favor and never order form this company.

I will never use a different furniture store. So far they are 2/2 in customer service, delivery, turn around time. I ordered 5 piece modular 1 and a recliner at 7:30pm on Wednesday night - they were at my door the next morning at 945!! In and out in under a half hour. The delivery drivers were nice and helpful. We were recently burned by another company (the other company took 3+ weeks, took one look at our stairwell and said the couch wouldn't fit loaded it back up and left). The next day I went to the Gardner white show room in canton and worked with Marilyn. She was wonderful and helpful. The following day I called the store to place the order over the phone and worked with Sam.

They have a clean showroom at their new location across from IKEA, and that's about all I can say about that. Since the world shutdown for the last year and a half I forgot how much it feels like you have a shadow when you walk through a store being stalked by a salesperson. I don't want your spiel, I just want to buy something that'll last! But, as expected, too many hoops to jump through and too many added on dollars to the sales prices. Not worth the hassle.

DO NOT BUY AN AIRELOOM MATTRESS IF YOU WANT A GOOD NIGHT'S SLEEP & THE 180 NIGHTS GUARANTEE IS A LIE. We paid nearly $4500 for a "High Quality" Aireloom "plush" mattress and within two weeks, our Fitbit reported sleep scores dropped to the 70's to low 80's. We were both tossing and turning all night as our arms and legs were falling asleep from cut off circulation. Every morning we woke up sore and exhausted. The 180 sleep guarantee is a Lie. We tried to return the mattress within two weeks and exchange it for a better one and we were told by "Buddy" the salesman that we had to give it more time top get used to the new mattress. We told him it isn't working at all and he said that they have no authority at the store level to return anything, that our only option is to call the main corporate number. Well that went nowhere at all, no call back, nothing. Interestly, Gardner White unlinked the mattress reviews on their website so you can't read them or leave a review. If I sleep in a random recliner in our living room, I get a Fitbit sleep score over 92, and if I sleep in the "High Quality" Aireloom mattress, I get a 78. This is bullshit. The 180 sleep guarantee is a lie. Mattress Cover Price Mark Up Scam And don't pay $249 for the mattress cover, you can get the exact same one for $39 at Target. Nothing but a scam. Expensive Gardner White Pillows are Terrible Lastly, don't fall for the ridiculous $200 Gardner White special pillows. Go to Amazon and search highest rated pillows, get 2 for $29, we got six for less than half the cost of one shit pillow from Gardner White.

Obnoxious service from sales people that chase you around and then get angry when you don't purchase.

YOOOOOO did you all know this was happening? A Crate and Barrel outlet in Metro Detroit? Because I…read moredidn't! I stumbled upon a news article about the opening just this afternoon and made a beeline for them almost immediately. I'm in the market for a new dresser and thought it would be good to get there sooner rather than later. The space is no frills, pretty open concept with everything stretched before you. It's a huge space tho, so there's a lot to browse. They opened just yesterday and we were informed that many of their outdoor pieces were snatched up but there was still A TON of stuff to consider. If you're looking for a new couch or living room furniture you have to get there now because that makes up the majority of their stock. I also spent some time with the dining tables as I'm looking for a new one for our house as well. It's an outlet so, as expected, what you're going to lose in slightly damaged pieces you'll make up in markdowns. They had a number of beautiful pieces that I had admired on their websites (this store covers Crate and Barrel, CB2, and Crate and Barrel Kids, FYI) with injuries ranging from small nicks to full on scratches and damaged corners (those pieces were priced accordingly, tho). There was a really nice dining table with a few leafs that I considered but after spending almost 15 years with a scratched up table I inherited from a cousin I think that's one item I'd like to be in pristine condition if I can help it. They also have a ton of office furniture, a bit of patio, beds/headboards, nightstands, sideboards/buffets, consoles, coffee tables, etc. They also had a lot of dressers. I considered a couple but the space I'm looking to fill is on the smaller side and there weren't any options this time around petite enough. But it was cool to see so many of the dressers I'd drooled over on their website pretty deeply marked down (an additional 50% on bedroom furniture) without any noticeable damage. The perimeters of the store are filled with shelves full of decor and other home items like bedding, hampers, and a ton of kitchenware like dish sets, serving ware, pots and pans and even a few small appliances like microwaves and even a KitchenAid mixer on sale. The thing about outlets, though, is if you go in looking for anything in particular you're probably NOT going to find it. But if you go in without expectations you'll surely walk out with a lot of treasures. Since I was in the former camp today I didn't leave with anything but I can't wait to regularly pop over there to scour their new arrivals (a staff person told us they plan to get 2-3 shipments a week) and hopefully bring home something special in the future!

Blackrock and Vanguard are the big investors. Specifically: La-Z-Boy struggles to sell pillows. I am down-sizing to my retirement condo. I am replacing most of my furniture. After this experience, I will not spend another thin dime at any La-Z-Boy store. We were trying to buy five (5) decorative pillows for $15 ea and a $20 footstool. - Thirty-two (32) minutes - Four (4) sales reps involved at various points The La-Z-Boy whiz bangs at the Head Shed have deployed a goofball tablet-based system to decelerate the sales process and crater the customer experience. Luckily, there is a word for this! "Enshittification" was Word of Year for 2024: the misapplication or decline of technology for the benefit of business/shareholders at the expense of the user/customer experience. La-Z-Boy cannot figure out how-to sell pillows and footstools. Nor could the app correctly total what should have been: (($15*5)+$20)*1.06 = $100.70 It took me less than 10 seconds to correctly total the amount. I offered cash. Exact change. Let me leave, puhleeze. Cash was refused because ... paperwork! Paperwork must be signed! Scanners and barcodes made their debut for retail on June 26, 1974 - nearly fifty-four (count'm 54) years ago. La-Z-Boy has barcodes, but no scanners. Everything must be manually entered, lookups fail, errors corrected ... lather, rinse, repeat, repeat, repeat ... for each item. Whoever the heck is responsible for this (cough) business process ... where did I leave my VooDoo doll? There is also a one page T&C document that I was expected to sign without reading. Two sales reps actually said, "Just sign it. You don't need to read it" and became frustrated when I insisted on reading it, and were unhappy that I took a pic of it. Buy furniture? Spend $10k+. Gawd knows how they might screw-up a warranty claim. Actually; after reading the warranty claim reviews ... I think I dodged a bullet.
