(The old one was about 50 years old with the wood completely rotted) In less than 2 days Jorge constructed a new door and frame for us which was well built, sturdy and absolutely beautiful. I contacted this business and spoke to Jorge. He told me he would text me later to schedule a walk through to see what I wanted done. He didn't. So, I reached out again. Then he came by, looked at what I wanted done, and gave me a quote. He said he would be back to get started on Monday but that's the last I heard from him. I hired him to repair my bathroom which meant: tile a bathroom floor, paint the bathroom, attach a new bathroom vanity, connect a new bathroom faucet, and install a new bathroom fan. Jorge is simply the best. I really hesitate to write this review, because I am likely to need him again and I'm afraid I'll make him too popular! But he deserves it, for several reasons: - Jorge's work is utterly perfect - and beautiful. In the past two months I've had him do paint, sanding, patching, bondo, plastering, woodworking, conduit, concrete, flashing, shingle repair, and tile flooring. All of it - and I do mean all of it - has been executed to utter perfection. On days I hired Jorge, my fiance would come home and say "show me what Jorge did today!" because it was always worth looking forward to. We completely redid the vestibule to our (109-year old) cottage, and most of it was Jorge's work. Everyone who sees it admires it. - Professionalism. Jorge is easy to work with, impeccably polite, punctual, organized and efficient. He can always come up with a solution (it's often Bondo!) and has saved me on a couple occasions by fixing sloppy work that other workers (or I) did. He will make a list of everything to be done and then work in such a way that things that need to dry can do so while other stuff gets done, with minimal downtime. This is much appreciated since he charges hourly. - Jorge cleans up work areas thoroughly. I didn't think this was worth mentioning until I hired a bunch of folks that didn't. - Jorge is affordable. As of this writing (late 2016) Jorge was charging a flat rate of $40 per hour plus materials. So his estimates are for the number of hours required to do your job. At this point, I thoroughly trust him, so when I have work I know he can do I don't need to schedule an estimate, I just schedule the work and have him go at it, one day at a time. I use Jorge to do all the work around my 3 unit building. So far there is not a thing I have found that he can't do. He has painted units repaired plaster walls, plumbing, tile work repaired siding, supports that were rotted holding up my deck, replaced and repaired fencing and the list goes on and on. Jorge has done multiple projects for me, and he has always done excellent work! He is timely, highly competent, and easy to work with. He can do any small construction project. He installed some heavy, high tech shelves in my apartment with real precision. These were floating shelves capable of holding 200 pounds each. He helped me update my entire apartment which was getting worn with age and needed repair: painting, new flooring, small building projects, resetting an existing door that was damaged. He has a great set of tools that he owns to do almost any job. It's great to find someone like him when there are so many unreliable, unscrupulous contractors out there. He showed up next-day a few minutes early, immediately fixed not only the problem with our garbage disposal that we called him about but also a dishwasher problem that had baffled two Home Depot install teams and all my roommates over the course of more than two *months*, performed an additional tweak on the dishwasher to make it sit nicely in its compartment, and only wanted a hundred bucks. (I'm not joking when I say that the dishwasher problem was easily worth a cool thousand or more to us after all this time.)
