I just returned from an appointment with Dr. Garg, 2 hours and 55 minutes worth! I do not usually write reviews, but I was so livid about my experience that I feel I must write this review. Also, when I searched Dr, Garg, I read the only review and it echoed my experience.
I first visited Dr. Garg and that visit lasted two hours. The waiting room was packed at 9:00 a.m. and that staff assured me I would be out in time for a work meeting, at 10:00 am. Instead, the staff did not inform me of the true wait time. When I finally got into the exam room, the test was not explained properly and therefore had to redo the five minute test and wait even longer for the results. Although the Dr. apologized for the wait, he assured me the next exam I had to take would be a better experience.
Two weeks later I returned and I spent 35 minutes at the office. Half way through the eye exam, the office staff notified me that the test I was doing was a repeat and that Dr. Garg needed to see me and he was in surgery! More wasted time in the office and not much of an apology for the office wrongly scheduling the appointment.
Today, returning two weeks alter for a 3:40 appointment, I find the waiting room with 14 of the 15 chairs full. I asked how long the wait, and they said they had no idea at all. I asked. "Not at all?" How could that be?" They had nothing to say. Apparently the doctor had an emergency which created this back up of patient, but sadly they provided no information or willingness to inform the packed waiting room. By 4:35, I finally got in and had a brief eye exam and eyes were dilated. Then more waiting in the packed waiting room, still the staff not offering up any time line for the patients. At 5:15, still not seen for my second exam, I asked what the prospect of being seen might be. I mentioned that my ride was scheduled for 5:00 pm originally, which was the time they suggested. Unaffected with my inconvenience, they said they had no idea. I pressed them on it and the staff member said "5:40". Finally at 6:15, still 4 people left in the waiting room, I was seen. The funny thing was, they barely knew what tests to do. OMG, really after over 2 1/2 hrs of waiting! Finally Dr. Garg looked at my results in 60 seconds and said all looked good. The nurse said she would send the results to my doctor, which she named. I had to point out that that was not correct doctor and make sure she reviewed the chart so that she would send to the correct doctor. Upon leaving, she offered darkening glasses, which was a joke as it was now pitch dark! I mentioned after 2 hrs and 55 minutes of waiting , I no longer needed those. I finally left at 6:33! I will not be going back.
Poorly scheduled and although some staff tries, the office is poorly run. next time, they should pay for my UBER or ride home. I waited soooo long, I was able to drive home!
That's no way to run a business! I am ready to charge them for me time! read more
