The absolute worse. We used them to move and they damaged our furniture as well as some of the walls in our home. We even gave them a nice tip. When we tried to reach out to them, they wouldn't respond. After they started avoiding us we looked on better business bureau, and they have a horrible score. It's 6+ months since Garibaldi Moved us - August 1 from Linoln CA to Medford OR. We're still having the damaged furniture pieces repaired. What a bloody mess. We paid them $1400. (I think) plus two $100. tips and that was....of course, before we saw the damage. I've moved 6 times around the Country - East Coast to West Coast - never had so much as a scratch. We trusted Garibaldi to be professional, respectful and honest. Besides the scrapes, scratches, gouges, broken legs, broken moldings off antique pieces - it was a hot day and the movers used their brow/face sweat cloths to mop-up sweat drops on furniture surfaces ruining the finish. We sent damage pics to Sacramento BBB and Garibaldi - never heard a word from Garibaldi. Anybody would have be crazy to use this company. Still repairing the damage one piece at a time!!!! Had a great experience with Garibaldi Moving! My move started a little behind schedule but the owner called to let me know which I really appreciated. All of the staff were professional, polite and efficient. One of the owners even stopped by to make sure the move was going smoothly. They were careful moving my items (especially up a flight of stairs) and very conscious not to damage anything. I received multiple quotes and they were by far the best value (at least $150-$200 cheaper than other services). These guys were awesome! We hired them to load since we decided to drive our own truck to Livermore. They showed up 15 mins prior to the agreed start time. They were extremely careful with all of our furniture and boxes. They carefully listened and accommodated all of our requests. They made things so easy for us. Movers arrived on time. They got the job done of moving us out of an upstairs 2 bedroom apartment with a garage. I had things all packed and ready. The reason I gave 4 stars and not 5 was the speed. The last move I had done the movers actually used a dolly to move multiple boxes (again I was upstairs). The movers with Gatibaldi carried one box at a time. I never saw the dolly be used which would have saved a lot of time! I paid $85 per hour for a 2 man crew. read more

I worked with Billy and his crew moving a client's furniture in February 2020 -- they did a great job. I referred them to another client who made arrangements for them to move a lot of heavy furniture from one house in Folsom to another. The date and time was confirmed and agreed upon by all parties. On the set day. Billy, nor anyone from Garibaldi never showed up. My clients and I both called, text and emailed Billy several times that day and he never responded. He left my clients in the lurch as they had to vacate their property as soon as possible because it had sold. It was very surprising and disappointing especially that Billy did not have the integrity to ever respond and explain why he was a no show. Beware! read more

I especially appreciated that they took their time moving my furniture. They helped to make my move easy and stress-free. I definitely recommend this company for help moving. Due to this not being fair to the movers, and the owner asking me to change the rating. I will oblige. But do not use the cleaners. This is for Girabaldi's Happy Helpers Cleaning team. I hired them to come out to the house prior to the movers coming to unload my POD. (The movers were AMAZING btw - on time, professional and courteous, AND finished ahead of schedule). The cleaners, not so much on any of those points. They showed up 45 minutes late. Took a few smoke breaks, a lunch break (I bought them lunch and yes, people need to eat!) and after 4 hours, the house didn't look much better than when they started. As I started to slowly unpack and re-clean over what they did, I started to get mad that they didn't do a deep clean, like I asked. They didn't even clean the stove/oven. I have spent about 10 hours going over what they "supposedly" cleaned. They were nice people, but the quality of work is seriously lacking. I asked for baseboards and ceiling fans to be cleaned. They skipped the fans. I didn't even have a fridge for them to clean out. Not sure what took so long. The worst part is when I contacted the owner, she said she only guarantees her work for 24 hours. It was a MOVE IN cleaning job. How can I know what kind of work was done while trying to unpack all in 24 hours. DO NOT USE THE CLEANERS. Follow up to Garibaldi Moving's response to my original review 8-24-17: William Garibaldi has accused me of slandering his business' reputation here and elsewhere. The definition of slander is to make false statements, thereby damaging ones reputation in other peoples opinion. I have not made one false statement. My review is entirely fact based and none of it is based on second hand accounts. There is no doubt that my vehicle was damaged by Garibaldi's Moving. This fact is not being contested. The fact that Mr Garibaldi has tried to suggest that the damage was caused by my actions is outrageous. This is the red flag beyond belief. His accusation that I parked my vehicle a mere three inches from his truck is absurd. After parking my vehicle in my driveway next to the moving truck, I exited from the drivers side. This would have been impossible if I had been that close. I also loaded items into my vehicle from both sides. Again this would have been impossible if what he said was true. Finally, his assertion that I refused to move my vehicle when asked is absolutely ridiculous. Nobody in there right mind would have refused such a request. All of these are false statements made by Mr Garibaldi. Also, keep in mind that he was not there to witness these events. So at best these are second hand accounts. For the owner of this company to even hint that I am in any way even partially responsible for the damage to my vehicle is absolutely outrageous. The bottom line is that his driver should not have moved the moving truck until I had the chance to move my vehicle first. Period. I had only left from the area behind the moving truck for a few minutes to retrieve the money that my wife had just withdrawn from the bank so that I could pay his crew upon completion of the move. That is when we heard the yelling and screaming when his driver side swiped my vehicle. His driver made a bad decision. That's all. Garibaldi Moving needs to own up to it and settle. His statement that he is being targeted is also ridiculous. I want the damage done to my vehicle repaired. read more

The movers shattered my brand new television, lost the cable to my second television, and scratched my bed frame. Also, one of the movers decided he would sit on my brand new barstools to rest for 10 minutes (without asking) after sweating profusely, and now a horrid odor is embedded into the fabric that I cannot get out despite cleaning/deodorizing repeatedly. Not so much as an apology from the owner, just a "well you signed the contract". Extremely dissatisfied with this company. Update: Now the company is going so far as to make false claims about my statements, creating dollar amounts out of thin air (I never once said my TV was worth $1,000 and never "refused" to work with them). Mere attempts to try to cover terrible customer service I assume. Steer clear of this company!! read more

A move from a storage space to a 2 car garage cannot be more simpler, but these guys took 4 hours- pretty slow considering they had 3 guys doing the move. Omg, seriously. I trusted them to do thier job right while I was busy dealing with the people installing our cable and internet and this is what I got from them:my wood furnitures have deep scratches on them, the way they stacked up my boxes in the garage was as messy as hell,and I found "glass"-marked boxes at the bottom of heavy ones. Garibaldi Moving did a great job moving our 2-story home to our new location. Their quote was far lower than the others AND they moved planters, hooked up our washer and fridge, disassembled/reassembled our bed frames and even helped us hang pictures/mirrors. Other movers had told us that they cannot do these things, but clearly Garibaldi Movers are "full service". One more thing, they worked without breaks (except lunch break) and actually worked faster the last hour. They finished within 1 hour of when they said they would with no extra hidden fees (something my friends/coworkers complained about from their moves). They didn't even charge me for the shrink wrap or bubble wrap (they expertly protected our delicate pictures, mirrors, dressers, etc). I will use these movers again and recommend them over any other movers in Northern California! Great job. The owner even showed up to check on everything and make sure I was happy!!!! read more

I just needed to hire someone to move a sofa and love seat so went to THUMBTACK and then typed in my moving needs. And within 30 minutes I had 3 bids. The company I hired was Garibaldi Moving and Delivery. They arrived 20 minutes early, with two movers, in an enclosed truck and completed the full move in less than an hour. This was much better than renting a Uhaul and then trying to find help to get it moved. This company would be great for any of those Cosco/Sam's club items or any move!! I used them a few days ago for a local move, and the entire process from arranging the move to its completion was PERFECT. I dealt with Alysha Garibaldi to schedule the move. She is amazing! She's extremely professional, thorough, friendly and simply a pleasure to deal with. I had a lot of questions over the course of a few conversations, and she patiently answered all of them. The movers themselves were fantastic. They showed up early and worked quickly, efficiently and flawlessly. I truly wish I had known about the company when I moved into the apartment I just left because the difference in the movers' skills and their concern for my belongings far exceeds those of the movers I used which is a much larger company. It is quite clear that Garibaldi Moving and Delivery takes a lot pf pride in their work, and their commitment to providing excellent work and service from start to end is outstanding.
