Had a little snaffu on today's visit. Due to my Doctor giving different directions than we normally do when I have a procedure with my blood thinners. Finally got the corrected directions & authorization fax to Brident & was able to get the cleaning & tooth extracted. Will post again when I get my permanent partial as the immediate one is quite thin.

Because he works construction, Saturdays are the only days he is available for appointments. I called and scheduled his appointment well in advance for July 24. When my husband arrived for his appointment, he was told they could not see him because their records showed he had already been seen in April. This was completely inaccurate. I immediately contacted our insurance company, and they confirmed that my husband had not had any dental visits this year. They even advised the dental office to call them directly to verify this information. After spending far too much time trying to reach the office through a third-party answering service, I finally spoke with someone who was rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. Instead of taking responsibility for the error, she stated that it was not the dental office's fault for failing to thoroughly review my husband's records. She said she would look into the issue, but offered no real solution. I then asked to schedule a Saturday appointment for August 1 while they worked with the insurance company to resolve the mistake. I was told that was not possible. Since then, I have received no callback despite multiple attempts to follow up. I called again on Monday and heard nothing. Today, I called back and was hung up on three separate times. To make matters worse, the third-party answering service informed me that the Centerville location didn't open until 9, keep in mind its 9:30am. The lack of communication, poor customer service, inaccurate recordkeeping, and complete disregard for patients' time is unacceptable. My husband took time away from work which cost him money for an appointment that should never have been mishandled in the first place. This has been one of the most frustrating experiences I have ever had with a dental office. I would absolutely not recommend this location to anyone seeking reliable, professional dental care. Save yourself the headache and go elsewhere!!

I got a bad feeling from the moment I walked in. The receptionists were not friendly, the place smelled funny, and from the look of other clientele, it was apparent that this was a very low-price-low-quality establishment. But my tooth was hurting so badly, I chanced it and went forward with the procedure. After a 45 minute wait, here is what happened: First, they took me to the consultation room, where Dr. Hill confirmed with me what medicines I was on, and tapped on the tooth to make sure it was the right one. I began to ask several questions about the procedure, and was told "my assistant will handle that after the procedure." Then, before answering any questions, they demanded that I pay beforehand. Another red flag. They also charged me a $55 "consultation fee" which they neglected to mention when I called about pricing. Apparently, the doctor checking which tooth he is going to pull counts as a "consultation." Also, important to point out that I heard the doctor and a receptionist discussing what tooth they were going to pull on another patient. She had written "13" instead of "20". So she scribbled it out and wrote the right one. Ummmm, that's a little scary! When I was taken back to the room, the doctor came in, and gave me several shots in a row. While they were 100% effective at numbing me (which is a huge consideration, I know), I think he gave me about 6 shots in 15 seconds. Literally just stabbing them into my gums. Nothing like I've ever experienced in my years of having dental work done. I was obviously very nervous about having a tooth pulled (almost hyperventilating) and he barely offered any assurances other than a quick "I'm the one that has to worry - not you." Gee, thanks. It took him 5 or 10 minutes to remove the tooth. Then I never saw him again. He said his assistant would answer all my questions, despite my request to talk to him. I should have been concerned when I was having a dental assistant answering questions about recovery from a major procedure. She knew nothing! I asked what I needed to do to prevent dry socket, and she said I didn't need to worry about it. I said "Well, I've heard I shouldn't suck on a straw. Anything else?" and she said 'Oh, don't worry. You can suck on a straw." WHAT?!? That's tooth extraction 101. No, you can't. I hated the practice so much that I refused to even go back for my checkup. I felt like a herded cattle being rushed through so they could charge as many "consultation fees" as they could. They could not care less about their patients. STAY AWAY.

Let me give you the good first: Dr Rollins and her staff are very nice and they take our Blue Cross…read moredental insurance (which is why I had chosen her - I used to go to Dr. Baker but his practice accepts no insurance of any type). Now for the bad, which I wish wasn't so extensive since they're very nice people - I'd like to be able to say my experience was good. I had a crown done in December 2010. They had trouble with the molds (air bubbles or some such) and had to redo them. No, sweat, I thought - it happens. Then they had trouble with the temporary crown and spent an inordinate time fitting it. At one point, she broke the temp with all the inning and outing and had to make another. Then again, on it went, wiggle-wiggle test-test, then off it came for a little adjusting. Then on it went, wiggle-wiggle test-test, then off it came. Over and over again while the novocaine wore off and things were becoming uncomfortable. They finally got it the way they wanted it and off I went. I returned a couple weeks later for the permanent crown and things went pretty much as they should. I needed two more crowns and figured things had been a little rocky the first time, but, as they say, stuff happens. I wish I had run... I returned for the additional crowns. The initial visit (grinding away the existing teeth and taking molds, etc) went OK with only a couple redos in the process, much like the first time. I did feel at that point, "OK, you really ought to get this right!" but figured oh well, just get me finished and I'll find a dentist who does better before I need anything else done. I returned for the permanent crown and after much effort, it didn't fit. They said they'd have to reorder the crown. I was already hurting from all the abuse they'd put my mouth trhough trying to fit the crown. Now, unfortunately, when you find yourself in this situation, they have to re-prep the teeth that need a crown and take fresh molds, so it was like having 4 crowns done instead of two. I wouldn't recommend this and after a couple hours in the chair I left the office feeling like I'd been run over by a truck - repeatedly... I have to admit, I really didn't want to go back. I've never had a fear of dentists before, but I had to give myself a serious pep talk to walk through Dr. Rollins' door again. Thankfully, my third and final visit for these two crowns went off without the same level of problems I'd experienced in any of my previous 4 visits (crown #1 times 2 visits and crowns 2&3 times 2 visits up to this point). After only some minor issues we were mercifully done - proof there is a merciful God who knew I couldn't stand any more problems... I knew I wouldn't return to Dr. Rollins, regardless of insurance. But when they called me today to schedule my 6-month cleaning, and my heart began to race and my palms to perspire, I thought maybe a should write a review about my experience. The thought became a conviction when I read some other poor slob's experience (sorry, you're probably a very nice person - just a figure of speech!) that was similar - maybe worse! - than mine. Looking for a good dentist? Keep looking! In fact, run... Go up the street a couple blocks to Richard Baker's office (or his business partner, Dr. Lawson, though I haven't been to Lawson) - he's really outstanding!

A very nice person who is VERY lacking in dental skill. I got a crown done there, it didnt fit & was SHORTER than the original tooth making the tooth across from it look out of place, there crown was also TOO THICK to close my mouth properly, her solution start Drilling on the HEALTHY TOOTH to remove dentin just to make her crappy malformed crown fit. My mouth looked off, but it would stop the decay right ? WRONG!!! she got the sealant on the crown wrong & it was decaying & rotting within 6 monts. (Smelled REAL bad too when he removed her crown) & so I had to get ANOTHER dentist in Colleyville who had a Decent & proper lab to remove it, Re-drill the surface & replace it with a new perfect fitting crown at almost the same cost that Rollins charged me. She did ok on fillings but NEVER EVER get her to do a crown it is a painful waste of time & money. Dr Lawson 2 blocks away does MUCH better.
