I recently moved to Texas and finding a good dentist is one of those things you hope to do without a lot of trail and error. i did my research and called Main Street Dental. My first interaction on the phone was very positive and I immediately felt comfortable that I had probably found my new Texas dentist. They told me right up front that the soonest they could get me in was almost a month out, but I took that as a good sign, since it indicates they are busy and must do good work. When I arrived for my appointment (cleaning and first examine) everyone was very friendly and professional. They got me right in and after a first set of x-rays, i was treated to a great and pain free cleaning. The hygienist was very thorough and explained everything she was seeing with my teeth. Luckily everything looked ok and for the most part all was good. The Dentist agreed and gave a couple of general suggestions and thanked me for coming in. My husband Randy first came here for his annual cleaning, dental implants, and teeth whitening--and he has always spoken so highly of Dr. Marcos Villareal. That gave me the courage to finally come in myself. I've always been afraid of the dentist due to some very bad past experiences, which caused me to avoid going for years. From the moment I met Dr. Villareal, I understood what my husband meant. He communicates clearly, explains what is needed, and truly makes you feel comfortable and cared for. I trusted him to decide what was best for me. So far, I've had a cleaning, a flipper placed, and he has created a thoughtful plan for denture implants that will not only help me look good, but also feel comfortable--all while working within my budget alongside the oral surgeon. I can't recommend Dr. Marcos Villarreal at Main Street Dental enough! My entire family has been seeing him for our dental care, and we couldn't be happier. I've been with Main Street Dental for over two decades. Dr. Butler and now, Dr. Villareal have helped me take my dental care from a 2 to at least an 8. My teeth were in bad shape and yet my past dental experiences continued to hinder my ability to have the work done that needed to be done. Dr. Butler was patient and conservative with his plan and eventually gained my trust to carry out his plan. We started with a deep gum clean and progressed with crowns and eventually an implant. There were setbacks, like the time I broke a tooth on a carrot. He fit me in immediately, diagnosed the issue, and because of the trust he had instilled over the years, we started work on a crown that day. I had no hesitation...so much different than past experiences I had had with other Dentists. I've only met with Dr. Villareal once, but his demeanor and care plans are consistent with what I've come to expect from Main Street. And I can't say enough about the hygienists and office staff. Dr. Villarreal did a great job on my first, and this second visit. It appears he was able to avoid a root canal and a lot of pain. I haven't seen a dentist in a very long time. I needed a crown replaced that had popped off while flossing. On this visit as well as my prior I was called back right at my appointment time. This is important to me because some doctors don't see my time as valuable. At Main Street Dental I can tell that's not the case. The ladies in the office as well as the dental assistants are great people. Very nice and understand that a patient isn't really seeing a dentist by choice but out of need. They all ease the apprehension with their very positive and supporting attitudes. I'm pleased with the work so far and expect when the final crown is put on it'll be perfect. Everyone at this dental office is amazing- from the front desk, dental assistants, hygienists, and of course the doctors! I was having pain in one of my teeth and a suspected cavity. My mother has been going to Main Street Dental Care for years so she recommended I go there for quality treatment. It was easy to get on the schedule and seen in a quick manner. After the comp exam, the suspected cavity was no longer a worry and I received a treatment plan for an exposed root. Instead of pushing for me to get a filling for this exposed root (as a cash pay patient), Dr. V gave me an alternative- sensodyne. He stated if this didn't relieve the pain THEN we can move to the filling, but it was completely up to me! After two awesome appointments, I will be going to Main Street Dental Care for all of my dental needs! read more

Dr. Villarreal and his office is fantastic! It had been years since I have been to the dentist because I have had such bad experiences and accompany that with my fear in general of dental work, it ended up being really hard for me to find someone good I could trust. I can be a tough patient to work on and from the minute I walked in the staff was so kind, calming and truly made me feel like they understood my issues. They were gentle and explained everything. Made a detailed dental plan for me that I could go step by step on and didn't just try to convince me I needed everything all at once as it can be expensive. Our family dentist who we had used for probably 30 years passed away earlier this year. I picked Dr. Butler based on his reviews and the fact I have passed this office numerous times in the years I have lived in Rowlett. Lynn, the hygienist who did the x-rays and cleaned my teeth was excellent. It was the most thorough cleaning I have had in a long time. I will be going back to Dr. Butler in January to have three old fillings replaced at his suggestion. I also scheduled an appointment for my wife in January. She has somewhat of a fear of dental work and I think she will be very comfortable here. I was very pleased. read more

New patient here! I was referred to them by my orthodontist, and they did not disappoint. I came here for a teeth cleaning. My dental hygienist was Kim, and she was wonderful!! She was very attentive and knew the answers to every question I asked. She was also really careful after I told her how sensitive some of my teeth are. The front desk associate, Rhonda, is also an angel. She emailed me twice about the "new patient paperwork," and her emails were so adorable. We've been searching for a good dentist since moving back to Texas and have driven by Main Street Dental frequently. We decided to check it out on YELP and found amazing reviews. So my wife and I both decided to check it out. We both went and had amazing experiences from the cleaning, consultation with both Dr. Villarreal (my wife) and Dr. Butler (me) and the office staff. There was no waiting when it was time for our appointment. This is hand's down the best dentist office in DFW. From the friendliest front desk staff to the caring and gentle hygienists (Tracy is my favorite). Dr. Butler is knowledgeable, caring and has a terrific bedside manner. When my daughter needed emergency treatment for mouth pain, this office jumped through hoops to insure she was seen and ready for Cheer try-outs that following weekend. Finally! I lost my dentist several years ago when she retired. All I ever need is a simple cleaning - how hard can it be, right? Harder than I thought. Not only has he been great for regular visits, but I had an accident happen on a holiday weekend, and got me in for an emergency visit without hesitation. Everything was GREAT like always, each time I go there. Everyone is good and cares about you. They give you the options of what is wrong and choices to fix things.
