Owner , very rude , unprofessional and racist. Refused to sell balls for my children who met the criteria of being 6 years and older . According to owner my children were a liability although there was many more guest with children golfing . His response to the"American" family who joined us was that "if they were with us he could not sell them any balls " , my assumption is that we did not fit the criteria? , he proceeded to say that we were done and no balls were going to be sold to us or any of our guest that we were done golfing. I found this place "Again" by following the signs coming from lunch one day a month ago I used to come back in the day when it was a dump. But now a new owner has turned this place around. He has put some $$ into it plus a lot of elbow grease and it is a nice Range to come hone your golfing skills. There are no greens or grass to hit off of only synthetic pads. But Ken Moreno the owner has plans to do so but turns out there's a glitch in the deal that was made when he purchased the facility. But hopefully he hears some good news in the coming months about it. I try and come here as often as I can. I always get the big bucket of balls for 12$ it's like 120 balls Plenty to practice with. Owner is incredibly rude and clearly doesn't want to deal with customers. Ceilings are too low in the booth so be prepared to hit them with anything longer than an iron. If you confront the owner about this issue, he will tell you you're a bad golfer and can't swing properly (I'm a registered 2-handicap). The place has zero grass, its a dry piece of desolate, dry earth. This is the shabbiest, worst driving range I've ever been to; won't be going back. read more

I have quite the story for this place. I've gone to this range pretty regularly and usually it's fine. I'll choose this range over Wolf creek or Santa Teresa to support local business. BUT today was the last straw! Firstly there have been 3 times where I call and ask if there open. They pick up and say yes. I then get there 15 minutes later to find the gate closed, and I'm talking about middle of the day here! The last straw was today! I came in like normal and bought the special. The owner then asked me if I had clubs. I answered with "Clubs?" (I wasn't sure if I heard him right.) He then raises his voice and says "Golf clubs! Do you have golf clubs!" I answered with" yes I have Golf Clubs" and pointed to my bag in clear sight. I thought that was strange what he asked and I shrugged it off. Then I was hitting my driver, irons, wedges, and driver again. Before I could finish all my balls he approached me. And said "Did you see my signs!" I answered with "Signs?" (I wasn't sure why he was asking about his signs) He then raised his voice and says" yeah the big sign when you walk in! The sign right in front of you!" I answered with " yes, I'm not hitting my ball that far"( I know my distances, I've been playing for over 8 years) He then proceeded with " ok! But if just one of my balls goes over the fence!" I then put my driver away and started hitting my wedges. But after that my head space was just all wrong, so I had to leave. I couldn't even finish hitting the balls I paid for... When I go to the range it's to focus on my shot and get away from all the stress. Not to get harassed and talked down to. Never going there again and don't recommend this place at all... read more

I must have passed this place dozens of times and each time said I would try it. I see the netting and the signs on the street corners as I head over to Home Depot saying now open. I finally got out there yesterday and I will tell it was not what I expected. This place was clean and well taken care of. The new owner has put money into this place and it shows. Very disappointed on my first time trying this driving range. The website and sign on the gate at the range clearly stated the range closed at 7pm. My husband, son and I arrived at 6:20pm to hit a few balls and were rudely told by the owner that they are closed; he went on to say "didn't you see the closed sign on the gate?" Yes, there was a closed sign on the gate, but the gate was open and the hours were posted, which indicated they were open! He said they needed to pick up balls in 10-minutes. My husband very nicely asked if we could hit just a few balls for 10-minutes. The owner just got more rude and refused the business; said they had 10,000 balls to pick up. In addition, there were about seven others hitting balls. As a new golfer, I was excited to have a driving range so convenient in Gilroy to practice, but after the horrible service I will not be returning. If I could give this place 0 stars I would! In addition to the service, the grass was dead at the range. A recommendation for the business owner...if your hours state a specific time to close then that's when you close. Change your hours if you need to! And more important, customer service is what brings people back so I'd suggest being nice." read more

This is a great place to learn to play golf! There a clubs you can borrow if you don't have any. Lots of yardage markers and targets make it fun. Ken, the owner is really friendly and knows lots about golf. The mats are brand new and there are lots of tees to choose from. The golf balls are in really good shape and lights make it fun at night. There are nice Mats but that is about the only good thing. The owner is rude and will not allow you to hit while 8 others are hitting because he needs to pick up balls 45 minutes before closing.
