I had the absolute pleasure of staying at Cordevalle Resort. It was a part of a golf trip that one of my friends put together up north. We started the trip with what I can say was a can't be beat resort stay here. We each had our own king rooms that honestly almost made me hate my own home. From the start of the stay pulling up to the security gate and getting greeted with so much energy and friendliness then being handed a rosemary bag to bring you into the mood. Immediately I knew I would love this place. The valets were great. The lobby staff were great. I was at the resort for two days and I swear I never touched a door to open. My room was ready early which was a bonus and the room. Again just great. Spacious. Ultra clean. All the amenities you could want. Fridge bar area. Fireplace. Sliding double doors to a private patio overlooking a fantastic golf course. Giant bathroom with separate soaking tub that was divine. I could review the golf all by itself. Super nice caddy Jack who it was a pleasure to spend the day working alongside and perfect weather because it can certainly get hot out there. We had a catered private lunch and then we had dinner in the bar area and everything was, you guess it, perfect. I will be back it's just a matter of when. read more

Enjoyed a wonderful night here last week, watched Keith as Kenny and he was a lot of fun. I got the slushy drink which was delicious and sweet, it was good for me because it tasted mostly like the fruit juice and not full of alcohol. We also got the dark chocolate to snack on and that was good too. Beautiful winery and the grounds are immaculately clean. It wasn't very crowded which is nice and luckily we brought our low chairs to sit it. Just an FYI - I looked at the website before coming and it did say that they do provide folding chairs for their shows and we can bring our own as long as they are the low 4" or lower off the ground type and not the 14" ones from the ground with a built in cup holder which are the ones I have. Luckily my friend has the really low ones and she brought those. Much to our surprise they did not have any chairs on the grass set up at all - which was completely different than what's written on the website. So it was a good thing my friend brought hers. May be a good idea to update the info on the website so people coming to see shows here are aware of what to expect and come prepared. Thank you read more

We stayed at Cordevalle for a few days while their golf course was closed. It was very relaxing and we felt like we had the place to ourselves. Not sure how busy/crowded it feels when the course is open, but having the course as a backdrop to our dining experiences and our room was beautiful. There is a hiking trail we didn't attempt because it was windy and our allergies were already bothering us, but a very nice option for those without allergies (or not staying during the spring). There are also pickleball, tennis and bocce ball courts and a nice gym! Our room in the resort was very spacious, they were really accommodating with baby amenities for our 15 month old which is always helpful when you're traveling. Cordevalle provided a crib, baby bath tub, baby bath supplies and a diaper genie! read more

We went to a wedding here and it's such a beautiful place, with views overlooking the vineyards and valley. The grounds are also very nice. A gorgeous location for such an event. The staff was also friendly and helpful, always checking in with guest to see how things are. The outdoor seating dining on the patio was perfect for the warm evening. The only negative I had was with some of the food. While the appetizers and salad were delicious, my main beef dish was so overcooked, it was grey inside and inedible. Of the 6 dishes on our table only one had any pink to it. The roasted veggies were also slightly overcooked but I still was able to eat them. The server was nice and offered me a new meal but at this point everyone was through eating and dancing was beginning. A little better quality control were have easily corrected this. While I wasn't paying for the meal I wouldn't have wanted my guests to experience a poor meal at my wedding. Also not a good reflection of the catering at the venue. Hopefully this isn't a regular occur. Otherwise the place is lovely. read more

Very nice golf course in the Santa Cruz mountains. Immaculate conditions on fairways and greens. Bunkers with fluffy white sands. It is long, challenging and yet satisfying. You have to play it strategically, think target golf. The surrounding is so pleasant, full of zen all over the course. You can't get upset even if you are not playing as good as you want. A plus on the Bathroom facilities. A plus on the Grab and Go snack bars. I don't think I have ever seen anything like this on a golf course. Beautiful clubhouse and facilities. Nice pro shop and OSP staffs. read more

Just stayed at Cordevalle. I felt food was not that great. Although golf course is beautiful, I felt it to be overpriced for a round. Additionally caddie grinded us for additional money for his tip which was well above the average amount. Rooms were nice, but beds were extremely soft. Probably not coming back. read more

The resort is beautiful, luxurious and carefully maintained. Our son happily ran around chasing turkeys and pheasants. Staffs are extremely courteous and respectful. The room was nice, spacious and bathroom was awesome. Pool is generic but we still had a good time using. Overall we had a good experience for a short stay. Dinning is generic for hotel food, however we did find mold on our strawberries which staff helpfully switched and apologized. Their staffs made the stay a lot smoother because we have a toddler so we needed help constantly. Overall if you are looking for a quiet getaway this is a nice place. If you are looking for a place with lots of restaurants around this might not. We took our kid to pumpkin patch and needed a place for a nap so we just booked a day. Was a good decision since we could go back, took a nap then went back to pumpkin patch till late night. read more

Cordevalle is such a gem of a hotel. I recently brought 9 people here for a business meeting and they loved it. Each of them said they fell in love with this little property. The views of the golf course and valley are gorgeous. The rooms are so comfy and have such a relaxing vibe to them. The bath tubs are giant and just waiting for you to soak in them. The staff could not be friendlier. Everything for the meeting was perfect. When we had a request the hotel team jumped right on it. The food, was also great. Sometimes banquet food isn't as good as the restaurant food, but that wasn't the case here. Everything was hot, freshly made and had tasted great. The only thing to note is that you can walk to your room, but the further ones you will likely want to take a golf cart ride to and from. For someone like me who had to go back and forth from my room to the main building quite a bit I felt bad always getting a ride, but the valets were always friendly and helpful. Whether you are going for a holiday or a business trip, Cordevalle is a really great option. read more

Wut? There's a high end resort in San Martin? Shhh, Cordevalle is a hidden gem getaway masquerading as a great golf course. Don't tell too many people or it will get crowded and ruin it for the rest of us. Lots of choices for accommodations. Bungalows are one bedroom and a family room with a patio that opens to views of the golf course. Fairway Homes have four master bedrooms with shared living spaces and a large outdoor patio. I've only eaten in the Iron Bar, both inside and outside. Highlights: Beef Short Rib: served with polenta and Brussels sprouts. Tender and flavorful as you would expect. Good sized. Burger: pork belly and gruyère, need I say more? A really good burger. The fries are fine. Get the dirty fries instead. Pork Belly Lettuce Wraps: it's an appetizer but I've had it for a light lunch. Not a large portion. Lamb Meatballs: with white bean hummus. It's fine but not my fav. I've seen several people special order items off the menu. English Muffin Sandwich: scrambled egg with turkey sausage and cheddar. What an egg McMuffin wishes it were when it grows up. Breakfast Wrap: egg with chorizo, cheddar and fries. Yes fries. My fav breakfast. The staff are always incredibly nice, regardless of when you interact with them. Even the groundskeepers say hi when going by. Two thumbs up for cordevalle read more

Fantastic rooms, fantastic service all around, the tennis pros (I play pickleball) were wonderful, and a beautiful setting. The main restaurant, the One Iron Bar is decent but the grill by the pro shop is the best place to eat. Never tried the Italian restaurant so can't say anything about that. All in all, a really wonderful stay and experience. read more

We were fortunate to have one of their remolded suites and what an incredible experience. The room felt so luxurious and warm. We had the best nights sleep and the pillows were amazing. The seating area was nice and comfortable, along with the new fireplace's. They are currently under a lot of construction, but we were never bothered with any noise disturbance. We felt like we had the resort to ourselves. Make sure you eat at their One Iron restaurant, wonderful food and service. read more

Came here on a stop over on the way Oakland and spent the night. Room was impressive with a fireplace. But let's get down to lunch... The BLT was a lil out of the ordinary but BOMB!!! Was made on open face toasted bread with pork belly. This was insane not sure what kind of sauce was used but it was good! The dirty fries were some of the best ever.., and hate to say this but better then most Mexican spots... They had fresco, bacon, cilantro and a very tasty remoulade. It was so good asked for some on the side to dip the fries in. Bloody Mary was made with Titos, rim was dusted with Tajin I think. Also came with a crunchy slice of thick bacon. They start you off with house made chips and fresh popcorn. Food was great and view of golf course from the restaurant was amazing. Def a great spot with delicious food. read more

Pretty spectacular! We cancelled our Hawaii trip to the Ritz Carlton in Maui given COVID delta variant surge and some high risk family members. CordeValle was our replacement vacation and it was so incredibly lovely as a last minute pivot. We did the "family fun" package so the staff left some games in the bungalow for the kids and an amazing plate of cookies with milk. Honestly, I have super high standards and we actually live at another golf resort and yet I was highly impressed by the facilities at Cordevalle. Kids just completed PGA golf camp a couple weeks ago so loved practicing at the driving range. We also spent hours by the pool. Food service was prompt and high quality. Minor points of feedback: - Bathroom in the room was huge and exquisitely clean though "tile" feels a bit dated. Sounds like this will be addressed in upcoming renovation. - Cocktails at pool could be better. We ordered Mai Tais and got something fairly random. Oh well. Staff was lovely at least. Got here for my staycation and it was rainy and windy. Didn't matter though as I would soon be my luxurious room, which included my own fireplace! So cozy! The staff was incredibly friendly and warm hearted. Went to the spa twice - so lovely! Hey TJ! The braised short ribs with polenta was to die for! I wanted to warm the leftovers in my room, but mentioned there was no way for me to do that. Before I was done with my dinner, there was a microwave in my room! Love the attention to detail. Two private courtyards, so quiet and cozy. Will be coming back in the summer. I love this place! read more

It breaks my heart to give such a bad review to such a beautiful place! ATTENTION SPECIAL EVENT PLANNERS!! This is NOT the place you want to take your group. I'm sure it's wonderful for a romantic weekend for two... but they are ILL EQUIPED to handle a group or special event of any kind. I've been planning high end events for 30 years and have NEVER received such horrific service. You are welcome to IM me if you need further details, but in an effort to keep it short n' sweet, I will just say that 1. The front desk is terribly unorganized and "lost" reservations for a couple of my VIP's and then didn't want to honor it even after I presented written proof. Maybe they overbooked and hoped someone would be a no show? 2. The food was really just so-so and not at all what I would expect for the price 3. We did an evening putting contest for our guests and it was set up an hour after our scheduled time - with no apologies - so half of my guests just found something else to do. 4. The bartender at our putting contest flat out LIED about our total and the resort took her word for it. We were out there for an hour and the bar ticket showed that we had an average of six drinks per person. Who drinks 6 drinks in an hour?? Never mind ALL of us. Whatever... it's only money. 5. The end bill had a discrepancy of almost $14,000. We had already spent close to $60,000 for less than 48 hours, and they were trying to milk me for another $14K, but couldn't come up with itemized receipts for any of it. I'm happy to pay it, if you can explain what the charges are, but they CANNOT. These people are flat out thieves!!! They continue to charge my credit card the $14,000 and as soon as I see it, I have to call the bank and have them reverse it AGAIN. Which I will do until you idiots can produce PROOF of the total bill. Yelp doesn't allow you to give less than 1 star or I would have. So, I will just say this... the property is very pretty, the rooms are well appointed - although I've been in nicer - and they have a decent bourbon selection. That's as nice as I can be to a group of professional con-artists and liars. read more

Gorgeous, exclusive resort. Prices have gone up but it's the nicest resort in the area. Rooms are incredibly comfortable. Feather down & cloud like beds, golf course is beautiful. Food is incredible chef (Nicola Cavicchini) - Italian culinary excellence!! Never feels crowded, very relaxing and peaceful. Deers, hawks, and goats roaming around. Spa place has cancelled on us a few times but other than that I still give it 5 star because it's too good. read more

Cordevalle is our home away from home! The resort is absolutely breathtaking. My family comes twice a week to play tennis and Pickle Ball, use the spa and have a delicious meal. We're so incredibly lucky to have one of the best tennis pros in the country right here at Cordevalle! Benjy Robins knows everyone in my family by name and makes us feel like a million bucks every time we're at the resort! Go to the One Iron Grill for the most delicious burgers you've ever tasted, and make reservations at their restaurant Il Vigneto for what is possibly one of the best restaurants in The Bay Area! read more

Please be aware that Cordevalle allows the staff to violate guest's confidentiality. My friends and I paid for pickle ball lessons on March 26th with Benjy Robins. We were invited to enjoy beverages and snacks in the Clubhouse immediately after the lesson. We did not realize that Benjy, who appeared to be organizing the Clubhouse during our conversation, was actually taking note of our every word. He then shared information regarding our relationships, personal facts about our children and our finances with other members of the club. Information may have been shared with others that I have not been made aware of as of today. This was a complete violation of our privacy. I'm extremely concerned that this type of behavior is allowed at Cordevalle, where business and personal conversations are occurring on a daily basis. read more

How have I not yet taken the time to leave a review for Cordevalle? If you're anything like me...you've heard multiple friends talk about this place but never actually took the time to visit. Well, my yelp friends, take the time to visit :) Cordevalle is a Silly Valley escape that takes less than 30 minutes to get to. It's actually replaced one of our usual spots to visit. We frequent Calistoga Ranch, Casa Palmero and now Cordevalle. Enough said right? No...you need more details: Listen, this place is great. It's so close to where you live, beautiful scenery, fantastic service (staff will remember you even if you haven't been there in months), and the views...my god the views. My husband and I spent our anniversary at Rosewood CordeValle last weekend. It was a wonderful experience. The resort was impressive. However, it was the staff who made our stay feel very special. From housekeeping to management, the Rosewood CordeValle Resort Team was amazing. We were greeted with smiles when we arrived. Everyone was very welcoming and helpful, which made the place feel very warm and cozy. It was truly a five star experience! The front desk manager, Rian, was exceptional. He provided a high-quality customer service on the phone and in person. He had arranged for a bottle of prosecco and chocolate dipped strawberries in our room to help me surprise my husband. They were placed at the perfect spot by the fireplace. It definitely shows how their team pays close attention to details. We also had a couple's massage at Sense Spa during our stay. Sarah P. was incredible. She definitely knew how to set a romantic atmosphere. While waiting for our scheduled time, she prepared two glasses of sparkling wine and chocolate dipped strawberries for us to share in a private waiting room. Wow! Customer service... Customer service... Customer service... This is our first time staying here and we loved it! From the minute we drove up to the property, we were always greeted with a smile and taken care of. Our three night stay went by super fast, so we plan to do another one in the future. There's a golf practice facility (driving range/chipping area) which is awesome so bring your clubs! If you don't have clubs, they'll let you borrow some from the clubhouse complimentary! How sweet is that?! The gym is decent too b/c they have a bench press/squat rack, a good amount of machines and of course free weights. You can also utilize the spa, steam room and hot tub in the men's facility. The pool is cool too. We never felt like it was overcrowded. The pool staff are very attentive as well, and bring you cold bottled water when you arrive. We had the chips and guac which is standard, but the dirty fries... Very yummy! They have chargers for electric vehicles which is also complimentary. You do pay a $35 resort fee everyday, which basically covers tip for being driven around in the golf carts, so tipping extra is up to you. The rooms can be a bit expensive, but if you just want to relax and splurge a bit, do it! read more

I was resistant to come here because the location seems remote/random, but after some convincing from my husband and encouragement from the manager at Rosewood Mayakoba, I booked us for a long weekend after a SF work trip. My first visit was in August and I enjoyed a couple days at the pool with friends while my other half did the golf course thing in the heat. We loved our 3 night visit so much that upon leaving, we looked at availability for the Thanksgiving holiday and booked our second stay before even leaving the resort. The rooms- The casitas/bungalows are private and have incredible views. Each has a fireplace, butlers bar in the entry and ample room in the closet. There are big bath tubs, a small vanity area and double sinks. Double doors off the bedroom open up to terraces with lawn chairs that are perfect for getting sun and enjoying coffee in the morning. The rooms are set up along the hill, so there are golf carts if needed, but I enjoyed getting the steps in. The staff are world class - welcoming us with our favorite drinks on arrival, bringing our dog water while sitting in the bar, helping to book tee times and restaurant ressies, and honestly just being cool/real/enjoyable/happy individuals. Service is clearly a focus and each employee is truly there to make your visit as comfortable as possible. Food/Wine- We have dined at both Il Vigneto and One Iron Bar and both are phenomenal. One Iron Bar is casual and has both a fireplace and TVs. The bar manager (shout out to Jeff!) is the magic behind the fantastic service and gave us great recommendation on the menu. Il Vigneto is the finer dining option and they welcome you with prosecco before taking you to your seat. Again- great views and outdoor seating. The somm is a lovely German gentleman that is truly knows his stuff. He is also responsible for the wine dinners that are held every month or so with select wineries. We brought our dog and were blown away how dog friendly the resort was. If you are on the fence, bring he/she - they will be in good company read more

Stopped by for a tennis/golf day on my way down 101. The whole experience was great! Highlight was definitely the tennis clinic with the pro, Benjy. He is a very fun, knowledgable, and professional. I got a great workout and also learned a ton about tennis. Will definitely be returning for more tennis lessons with Benjy soon! read more

This place is amazing! I've been here two years in a row now for my fiancee's company Christmas party. The service has always been super friendly & accommodating. The bungalow & the bungalow rooms are beautiful. You can call the front desk for every- and any- thing. They are quick to act! Need a ride to the pool? They'll be more than willing to pick you up on their golf carts. Might I add that they served one of -if not- THE BEST steak & lobster I've ever had! Soo delicious!! I would totally recommend this place for a special event or just a getaway. I'm actually thinking about holding my wedding here if we decide to do a smaller one. It's a great option! read more

You can pretty much count on getting a complimentary golf cart ride to any part of this resort. And, if you're lucky enough, the young chap driving that 4-wheel-of-fun might let you drive it yourself. Everything about this resort is amazing - expensive, but amazing. My wife and I stayed one night on a golf and spa package. I highly recommend it if you want to get away to a peaceful, luxurious resort. You really do get a 5-star experience for the price. Here are som more thoughts on the resort... ROOMS We stayed in a fairway room next to the golf pro shop. This is their standard room type, but calling this a " standard" room doesn't do it justice. It's more like a small apartment with wood floors, huge bathroom, latest technology, and a walk in closet. There was more than enough space for my wife and I, including a private outdoor patio. We had the option to upgrade but I'm glad we didn't. The room was fantastic. FOOD We ate two meals at the One Iron Bar. We sat on the nice outdoor patio overlooking the golf course. For both meals they brought us the most delicious chips and flavored popcorn as a complementary appetizer. The club sandwich, half chicken, and margarita pizza were all delicious. They had an IPA beer on tap. It was just ok but I've had a lot worse. If you're not a big eater, I suggest splitting an entree. The portions are good sized and pricey for a grill (but affordable compared to the Il Vigneto). GOLF CordeValle is a challenging, very well groomed course. We chose to walk instead of ride. There are a few hills but not bad. It was a great walk. Our caddie, Neil, was money with his reads on the greens. He saved me a few strokes for sure. Since we got the golf/spa package I can't say if the course was worth the rate, but I would definitely play it again. SPA My wife and I both got 60 min massages. Both of us enjoyed it very much and it was as good as other resort massages. At $145 it's a little pricey depending on what you're used to but the spa facilities are some of the nicest I've ever been in. I definitely recommend arriving early to your appointment to enjoy the sauna/steam room or jacuzzi. SERVICE The service is the best I've ever had at a resort. Hands down. They take care of everything from the moment you arrive. Everyone was very friendly (with the exception of the lady the golf pro shop who was snooty to us for no apparent reason and seemed annoyed by having to do her job). W'll definitely stay at CordeValle again. read more
