It's such a fun place to take the little kids aka toddlers. My kids had a lot of fun here. The pools are accessible and parking is a plenty. I did take pictures but the kids face are in them so I won't be posting it. I would definitely make out the drive here again since I don't live in this town. We had a really fun time here at the aquatic center! Some tips: Purchase tickets ahead of time online, you get to jump the line! You can rent a standard life jacket at the front, they just hold onto your ID if you don't return the jacket it's a 25$ charge. Cabanas get cheaper the longer you're there I believe we waiting until 2pm and got the last cabana rental for 30$ There's tons of lifeguards doing an excellent job watching There's 4 areas at the center, one that's about 3 ft deep and has lots of fun water spouts and toys/ mini slides next to the bigger water slides One that's is more of a splash pad Two pools, one smaller one larger The water did get a little murky after 3/4 hours we were there I saw a bandaid and some hair got stuck on me but that's to be expected since the pool was pretty full for a Monday! Looks like they have a cute mini golf course there too! read more

Wonderful place to take swim lessons. All swim teachers are Red Cross certified (surprisingly this is not the case with all swim schools I found out) . Swim teachers are skilled, and kids really learn here. Big indoor heated pool. The good: I reserved a picnic area for $100 for my nieces's 14th birthday. There are four picnic areas total that has shade overhangs. Admission tickets are free for kids under 2. I went on the blue water slide and it was super fun, fast and had wide turns. I also jumped off the diving board and liked that it was open for anyone and that they had a life guard monitoring it. There are two areas for baby and toddler play that were really great. My 11 month old had a great time. The bad: You're not allowed to bring playpens, chairs, coolers, glass etc. Most of that is understandable but they said playpen wasn't allowed because it's a tripping hazard. It would've been nice to be able to have my 11 month old be able to have a safe play space. The ground gets pretty hot to walk on. The grassy area is yellow grass but that's due to the California drought. The interesting: A school bus dropped off a whole posse of toddlers on the day I came so the place was alive and bumping. It was shockingly crowded for a Tuesday. You're not allowed water toys in the water. read more

Evening adult exercise classes are best; as it can get extremely crowded during the summer days after 1pm. Fortunately, we enjoy a rec center membership with allows early access (for best shaded seats) and free family guests entrance. Outside food is allowed, but expect your bags to be checked for contraband (alcohol). Get your suntan, ride the slides, and prance through the various sprinklers to cook off. The Morgan Hill Aquatics Center is great. The have fun for kids, swim lessons, aqua fitness and lap swimming. Thank you Morgan Hill for this awesome aquatic center. I do have one suggestion: reservations for lap swim. I have swam at other pools that take reservations for 45 minute time frame. If you do not show up within 10 minutes of your reservation you forfeit and anyone waiting gets your lane. Just an idea that works for other pools. this place is amazing read more

Didn't know what to expect.... we normally go to the indoor pool one over at the YMCA. This place is very large and the kids loved it. We came late afternoon 3pm. Parking appears to fill up fast but there is also street parking as well. Price wise for daily admission was a bit pricey. Was like 50+ for a family of 5!!! Once we got in we were mesmerized by the water park. Right when you get in there is the kids slide/fountains and behind that set is another fountain area to play in. On this hot day, the cold water was refreshing but later in the late afternoon it was too cold for us. There is a huge adult water slide there that I didn't get to try but it doesn't look that fast or scary. The main area to swim I think was as deep as 4 or 5 foot. The kids that don't know how to swim can rent out life vests or you can bring your own floatation devices. The water was heated and warm so it was an awesome place to chill for the day. Behind this section is the lap pools, a diving pool with spring boards, and an inflatable obstacle course over the water. This place was legit!!!! You can rent cabanas or have bday parties here too. We felt very safe, the life guards were always rotated and present at each pool. You can hear them using their whistle on people so you knew they weren't snoozing. There is a picnic bench area for parties and plenty of chairs and recliner benches. The staff were friendly there as helpful. We left at closing time at 630. They have music over their speakers which was cool since they played a variety of music that everyone enjoyed. This was a cool spot to go to. read more

Pros: All staff is friendly and super nice. You guys are great! Water slides are fun Kiddie wading pool, a rec pool and spray feature. Lap pool is big although not all lanes are open all the time due to lessons etc. Restroom and changing room reasonably clean. Cons: Way too crowded. We went Wed in July at 130pm and the place is super packed. I thought they would capacity control it since reservations were required, but certainly they let too many people in. COVID or no COVID, I wouldn't come back due to the crowd. Someone pooped in the rec pool. That should tell you about the crowd. read more

Unfortunately, I had high hopes for the facility, but it highly disappointed me. The clients make the expirence the worst not so much the facility it's staff. People are pretty much doing sexual activities in the pool next to kids, rude ,disrespectful, and dirty. Had a cabana rental, and someone decided to make himself at home and spilled his drink (slurpee) all over, and didn't bother to clean up. The rules for pools are not posted, so it makes it hard for little kids to know what they can and can not do, like using the diving board. All in all I rather go elsewhere to cool off on a hot day. read more

Im so glad they finally reopened to rec swim!!! Years ago they used to bbq hamburgers and have a food court but werent allowed to bring in food. Now after covid they dont have the food court but allow you to bring food and drinks as long as no alcohol and glass. So its much nicer and cheaper that we can do that! The big pool is still strictly lap swim. But the smaller pool and kid pool area is open. Also 2 slides open! read more

Everything is clean and well-organized. I appreciate there is zero waste as far as the shower water - they're on timers. The pool water is clean and warm. People are friendly and health- oriented. We attended a birthday party here on Sunday. Our friend paid for an all day party running from 11:30-6pm. $5 for Morgan Hill residents and $8 for non-residents for all day. Pretty cool if you ask me! Their birthday party packages are reasonably priced as well. I was in awe to see the snack bar, tables, chairs, grass area, slides, pools and diving boards. It's a well kept center with friendly staff, lots of life guards on hand and clean restrooms. They have a DJ tent playing kid friendly music and a host. When we were there they had a splash contest which was pretty cool. The prices for the snacks and drinks were reasonable. I got to try their burger and nachos which was pretty good. My husband asked them to add meat to the nachos and they fulfilled his request. I think he paid $1.50 more which is not bad. They are generous with their portions. For birthday parties they order food from Straw Hat Pizza. They don't allow floaties inside the center for safety reasons but they will lend you a life vest free of charge. You leave your ID with them and get it back before you leave the park after you return the life vests. For convenience they sell swimming suits and trunks if you forget yours. We'd definitely come back again for another birthday if we're invited. Great place and staff! read more

Looking for water classes and nowhere is Hydro Aerobics described but there's a Boot Camp description that looks good and Water Zumba described but no classes for them! ? It's the beginning of the busy season and you'd think the website would have been updated before Memorial Day ... it rakes in enough money for the city (& it never closes if a bowel movement is found floating on the water like the indoor pool) that the least you could do is have current and relevant information since no one answers the phones there and the question are not correct. I wanted info on lap swim so I hit #4 like it said and got Lisa! I called back to see if I could talk to an employee about schedule but pressing #0 just gets a general voice mailbox. With all the housing going up this place needs to be five times bigger like San Jose's water parks!! read more

I'm surprised to see an average of only 3.5 stars for Morgan Hill Aquatics Center. We took my niece here this past weekend and we loved it! Amenities: -Kids' 1.5' recreation pool and water playground (2 small slides) -Kids' water area with cascading waterfalls and spraying ground -Warm water instructional pool about 3.5-6' deep -Lap pool with diving board for older kids/adults that's separated by a fence -Large water slides for older kids/adults -Clean bathrooms with plenty of stalls and changing areas -Poolside concession with drinks, hot dogs, hamburgers, fries, and nachos Tips/Other things: -Many families line up before opening at 11:30am, so expect a crowd although it wasn't overly crowded -Only bottled water is allowed (no outside food/snacks) -They have a dj on the weekends! Prices: -$8 for adults and $6 for kids under 11 years old (non-residents) Very reasonable and much cheaper than Raging Waters or Great America! read more

My son started swim lessons here yesterday and the water was so nasty I had to talk to the manger about it. For the little ones who are learning how to swim usually 4-5 years old, they put them in the corners near the steps. This is where all the junk collects. In this case there were Bee's and tons of sunscreen goop floating around. They then asked my son to put his face into it and blow bubbles as this is part of the practice to get your face wet so you get used to the water and getting your face wet in general. I thought it was so nasty. I thought to myself, if I was at a hotel and the pool was like that, I would not go in. There were also tons and tons of people due to the heat in Morgan Hill yesterday and the kids who paid for lessons were lost among tons and tons of kids running around like they were at the beach boardwalk or Water World. I did speak to the manager very politely about this and will see if this continues to be a problem. I will upgrade the review if I see improvement. Overall, for a paid offering, I thought the priority was on general use pools and where the many groups of kids were getting lessons was an afterthought. ********************************************************************************************* UPDATE Although I was not able to bring my son today, my wife was and says the pool looks really good today and its much better than yesterday. It may have been a fluke that we just had bad luck having our first swim lesson on the hottest day Morgan Hill has had in a long time which brought out the masses. The worst part of this place is the teenage staff. We booked the party room and they kept changing up the rules and giving us a hard time. Their is no structure set in place. They don't follow what is said on their website. I also called ahead of time to confirm a few things that is said on their website. When I arrived the teenage manager on duty says something entirely different than on their website and what they told me on the phone. Management absolutely sucks, literally a moody teenager with a bad attitude running the place. When I requested for help she seemed like it was such an inconvenience to be asking them to do something that is literally on their website. She started to make things up that are not said in their website or emails because she didn't want to go back and do her literal job. The attitude was completely uncalled for. My daughter had swim lessons here. I felt super comfortable with her swim instructor Maddy. She was very alert and great with the kids. I was pleased with how quickly my daughter progressed! The set up was perfect and I am so happy to have had a wonderful instructor! We had a bad experience in the past elsewhere so what a difference actually being able to relax and watch my daughter have fun and learn so many techniques and safety tips. We arrived nice and early before they opened and girl at Day booth told me to stand in membership line because we were thinking of renewing. 30 minutes later, girl at membership booth tells me I needed a check to renew and sends me BACK to day use girl to pay for day pass. And there it is, the horrible customer service and disorganization that prompted us to end our membership in the first place. Been here twice- once with both my kids, and honestly the WORST part of this place is the teenage staff. The second worst part is how crowded it is. If you have younger kids who need hand-holding or are more timid, save yourself the trouble. Some rules need to be marked more clearly and front office teen staff should tell a parent if the swim aide is not allowed, instead of okaying it anyway, only for it to be no no'd by a lifeguard staff afterwards. It would also be helpful to post illustrated rules (two kids on slide gets an X, one kid on slide, circle) for the little ones who haven't mastered reading yet, on how many kids are allowed to go down the slide at the same time in the little kids section. I didn't see any written rules for that. My two year old went down the baby slide with my five year old bc he was scared. Next thing I know, a teen lifeguard is screaming at them like (I kid not) Major Payne on crack AND steroids. Like how about a bit of vocal modulation to match the situation, age and demeanor of the kids? They were not goofing off and the lifeguard was less than 5 feet away from them. He was yelling so loud the cords on his neck bulged out. When did I sign my toddler up for boot camp? Anyway- couldn't have planned for a worse day if I tried. read more

They charge $16 per swim for lap swimming! This is robbery for a state as well as well as county funded institution. Morgan Hill residents is not even much better. You can get access by buying a membership to the CRC, but unless you can use it 5 days a week, it's not really worth, and in the winter access is almost impossible 'even' with the crazy CRC membership. Your tax payer dollars 'not' at work. read more

The concept is good but there are many things wrong. First of all, they spend more time searching your bags so you can't bring food, water or even small sun umbrellas inside. This is a REAL bummer especially if you are on a specialized diet or allergic to foods. You can't even bring in an apple or water. They should be more concerned with THEFT. The first time i went, my significant other and son both got their T-shirts stolen. We left them on our chairs while we went to swim, came back and they were gone. We had to walk out of there shirtless. I went again this new season and 2 girls got there cell phones stolen. This is a problem in that you can't bring food/water so you must bring money (for the really bad food) but then theres a high chance it will be stolen! It's a catch 22. These workers should spend more time looking for thieves than innocent children and moms just wanting to use an umbrella to stay out of the sun or drink some water. This leads me to THE LACK OF SHADE AND UMBRELLAS! If we can't bring a simple sun umbrella, then provide more shade! Don't they know too much sun causes skin cancer? I brought a small umbrella for shade and they wouldn't let me take it in or hold it for me, like it was some sort of gun or weapon. Why on earth can't you bring in some "shade" for yourself when Morgan Hill is upwards of 90-100 degrees in the summer? I had to walk back to my car and put the 2 foot umbrella inside and burn! Not cool. I would skip this place. Go swim at a friends house instead where you can find shade, eat and drink when hungry and not worry about things getting stolen. read more

Came here for my Godson's birthday party. $9 for an adult admission and $7 for youth, this place is a big time bargain especially if you have little ones. The pictures on the website don't do this place justice. The focus has a strong focus for tiny toddlers with a play set in 1.5 feet water depth. They also have two larger (Raging Water) like slides and a regular lap pool. Downsides include the fact that they don't allow any cotton clothing in the water. I couldn't wear my cotton tank over my suit. You also can't bring outside food other than water. We'll be sure to visit here again before the summer ends. read more

The place itself is Ok - but their service and their CRAZY UNREASONABLE RULES deserve only 1 star. We came there yesterday with our 2 kids (6 and 2 year old). They gave us a hard time at first because the swim suit that I used for my toddler was not safe enough (even though it had a nice floating pads built in in the suit). They made me take off her suit and use their vest that they provide. After I removed the suit and put on her the vest - the next thing they said was: Oh, she is wearing a swim diaper but no plastic cover over it... plastic cover is required. I didn't have the cover because I planned on using our nice cover-up suit which they made us take off. Then they made us buy the plastic cover at their store for $8.50 (one time usage thing...). I was so mad with their freaking policies. We came there in a good mood, but left feeling awful. Another bad thing - THE LIFEGUARDS act like crazy!!! They use their whistles every freaking minute, it's like you are not even supposed to breathe there... read more

We visited for the first time today, driving all the way over from Santa Cruz to find some sunshine. At first, I was a bit disappointed, since my daughter showed no interest in all the cool-looking water playground features; she just wanted to swim in the deeper pool. Long drive just to swim in a pool. Fortunately, after about an hour, she explored a bit more, and we spent another 2.5 hours taking advantage of all assets. We're not ready for the Raging Waters scene yet (my child is only 5), so this was the perfect level of aquatic amusement for us. I can't speak to the ginormous lap pool on the other side of the huge mesh division walls, but it looks to be a lap swimmer's paradise. The Good: Huge area, things for kids of all ages and swim levels to do, free parking. Attentive lifeguards abound (I have no problem with the frequent whistling, as do many other reviewers). The Bad: Loud nightclub-genre music blaring from the speakers makes it hard to hear, talk or think. No outside food allowed. No pool toys allowed (e.g. dive rings or sticks). The Ugly: I tend to be a bit phobic about public pools, and this one really pushed my limits. Floating hair and band-aids abound, and I didn't dare walk around barefoot. I must admit, however, that this kind of stuff is hard to avoid at any public pool, and I get icked-out fairly easily. read more
