    Dracula!!

Don't miss the DCPA Garner Galleria performance of Dracula.... A hilarious take on the to story. The cast is absolutely amazing, energetic and talented. Each of them play 3 separate characters during the show. It was so much fun, I highly recommend it! There is bar and food service from your seat. This quaint theatre really doesn't have a bad seat. Give yourself a holiday gift and bring a friend!!

This show was hilarious and runs through May of 2025!

The Garner Galleria is a staple of the DCPA complex. It hosts a wide variety of smaller shows that have months-long runs. It's a quaint place with a smaller stage and convention center chairs. You are offered bar and snack services from your seats or can order from the main bar. I enjoy going to shows at the Garner Galleria as I know I'm not in for the mass amounts of people the other stages in the DCPA offer. The one thing that remains constant at the Galleria is the sewer smell. Upon walking in, it hits you right in the nose. The smell does dispute once in the theater but the lobby reeks and has so for many years. Other than the smell, the staff are fantastic and the bar service is spot on. This space is great for a more intimate setting to experience live theater. Looking forward to going again regardless of smell.

As venues go, this is way, way, way (yes 3 "ways") better than most of them. Compared to larger venues (like the Buell) this room is much less stuffy, less crowded, and is more intimate and interactive. I do not think there is a bad seat in the house. During the last show I saw, I sat dead center of the first raised section. This was an ideal vantage point. Contrasting this to regular comedy clubs, you are not jammed elbow to elbow in too small of a space, wondering if they REALLY needed to bolt the chairs to the ground?(Yes, I mean you Comedy Works downtown). In addition, they do not seem to be gouging on the drink prices here. The non-alcoholic selections (water, soda) are quite reasonably priced. I have had both very good service, and pretty good service here. That is one area with some slight room for improvement.

This is a perfect place to watch superior acting in a small cabaret theater. Saw Xanadu last evening and what a captivating show it was: roller skating, Zeus, audience participation & muses...all good! I thank Hayley for her excellent management of the box office!!

Fun night! Mahalo to Yelp! 04.07.16

4.07.16 went to a show courtesy of YelpDenver Saw the Never Wear a Tube Top while Riding a Mechanical Bull with Dixie It was a fun 90 min show. It had its dry moments but loved some of her bits. She engaged the audience all 90 min and LOVED when she picked on the crowd. She had great life lessons and advice. If you sit near the stage she will utilize the crowd & you may get invited to the honky tonk. This theater is small, intimate and definitely worth going to a show here. There is a bar out front and the servers are all accommodating. I recently had a foot surgery & the staff made sure to help me out and have a seat where I could elevate my foot. Lucky us, it wasn't sold out and there was an entire empty row in front of us so I could rest my foot up. They serve drinks and light snacks. Price ranges from $6-13. SMALL bag of Popcorn is $5. Parking is about $10. I usu grab HH or dinner at The Corner Office before watching a show at this theater.

    Thanks, Kendall, for the tickets!

I would say the musical leans more toward a romantic comedy especially compared to the movie and you will definitely notice the differences. That said I still think The Notebook musical is great. I really enjoyed it and it absolutely still has those tearjerker moments. The cast was awesome and everyone sang so beautifully. The performances felt genuine and emotional and the atmosphere in the theater really helped pull everything together. Customer Service Customer service was amazing. Everyone was super friendly helpful and accommodating from the moment we arrived. As soon as I checked in they noticed I was a lottery ticket winner and congratulated me which was really sweet and unexpected. I did not need that but it was still a very thoughtful touch. Staff showed us where to go and once we got closer to our seating area another staff member walked us directly to our seats. Overall everyone was welcoming and made the experience feel smooth and stress free. Pricing & Parking I got my tickets through Lucky Seats. Which is a lottery-style system for discounted tickets. We won two tickets for a total of $78 and our seats were very close to the stage with a great view. Discounted tickets made the experience even better. Parking at DCPA was $17, and they only accept card payments. Parking was convenient, with several nearby options, and it did not feel overwhelming getting in or out. Food & Drinks For food and drinks I paid twenty two dollars total not including tip. I got one Sprite one bottled Sprite one bottle of Coca Cola and a pack of gummy bears. I understand it is for a great cause and supports DCPA but it is a bit pricey. If you need to sneak in your own snacks do what you gotta do. Overall Experience My overall experience was honestly perfect. The performance was amazing the seats were great and the entire night was so much fun. I would absolutely go back again and highly recommend checking out DCPA and one of their shows.

Huge scam to begin with, as not only do you pay to see the show but have to purchase 2 items per person before the show is over. However, that's not the part that drove me absolutely bonkers. Imagine a sold out show and EVERYONE must purchase 2 items per person, have that shit delivered to your respective seat one piece at a time and pay for it (per order). We couldn't see half the show because staff was blocking the view, we couldn't hear the other half because staff was hustling to take orders and secure payment from the guests.

Our second beverage we both got the Spicy Margarita. This was served on the rocks with 21Seeds Cucumber Jalapeno Blanco, Cointreau, lime juice, sweet and sour with a Tajin rim. I think I would have liked this more if it had not been as cucumber forward. It tasted more like an extract than actual cucumber. Noted for another time. Our server was pleasant and took great care of us. At the end of the show we waited a few minutes for the initial crowding to calm and were able to head out through the back, get our phones out of their pouches and be on our way.

Yes, I'm definitely a fan of Cherry Creek Theater!…read more CCT is a relatively new addition to the Denver theater scene, and have just begun their second season of productions. They're so new, in fact, they don't actually have a traditional theater space. They partner with the Shaver-Ramsey rug gallery in Cherry Creek and hold their performances in the large room off to the side of the main showroom. The acoustics are wonderful, and the space works really well. The performance we saw was in-the-round, so there wasn't a bad seat in the place. They don't focus on one specific type of theater - you'll find dramas, comedies, even musicals. I suspect that anything you see will be quite good as they get some of the best acting talent in Denver, and do a solid job with their script selection. The CCT also offers refreshments before the show and during intermission, including wine, most of which seemed to just have a suggested "donation" amount. You are allowed to bring drinks into the theater - yay! They find places around the area (Whole Foods, for example) and bring in pretty decent bites. So, there you go - yet another theater in Denver you perhaps never knew was there. Check it out!

I was pleasantly surprised by how clever, risqué, and funny this show was. We attended the Alice in Wonderland show and it was the perfect mix of sexiness and comedy.
