There are also kayak rentals on the river bank below. When we came we hiked the 3/4 mile looped trail behind the playground accessible from the parking lot. There was a bald eagle flying above his beat. Kayakers down below had beached themselves on a sandbar in the middle of the river. A guitarist was jamming and kids were playing in the Sun. The name of the Waller Park Extension game are fields. Several different fields litter the area and I counted at least 4, crammed into this tiny foot print. Parking is surprisingly very spacious and in fact, there's a lower parking lot that's just behind the City of roswell office that you pass to get to another area of the park. Down below is more parking, as well as yet another soccer field. Front and center at the main portion of the park is a nice children's play area, that was being taken full advantage of by kids, and strategically placed near the play area, were benches for parents to sit and watch or just for anyone to sit and soak up the day. Park up keep is very clean and well put together. I didn't see one stray piece of trash, which is pretty cool! There is an aquatic center to the left of the park (if you're facing the children's play area), but i'm not sure if it is affiliated with the park itself. There are no hiking trails here, but my guess is you're not coming here for that, and that's cool. If you have kids, play sports or just live close, this tiny little park is your little secret. If you're looking for a hike, or a monstrous mega park, you wont find that here. Nice, clean, small park with lots of parking that gets the job done. Definitely a fan!

There are 2 play structures. One hue one for older kids including a rock wall, huge slides, and other various things. Then a smaller one with the same kind of things on a smaller level. They have several swings including a tire swing and handicapped swing too. There is a pavilion are with lots of shade, and there is good shade coverage from the trees as well. There is also a huge skate park in the back!! Also community tennis courts! This seems like a great park and we will definitely be utilizing it!

There was just the right amount of people,…read moreenough so that kids could socialize, but not too many that it was unsafe or people waiting for swings, etc. There is ample natural tree shade on the play area and some covered picnic tables as well. My child's favorite was of course the zip line. I have never seen such a cool feature at a public park. It seemed new and everything was in good shape. There is a trail around the park so you can bring a bike as well and enjoy a ride, walk, or jog. So glad we live close to this amazing park for the kids. PRO TIP: If it is during non-school hours, park at the elementary as it is closer to the playground than the main park parking lot.

Tuxford is a nice subdivision in the Atlanta suburb of Alpharetta. There are 376 large homes, many…read moreof which I believe were built in the 90s, so this subdivision isn't new, but it isn't ancient either. The homes are placed fairly close together and offshoot from the subdivision's main road, Tuxford Drive. There are numerous cul-de-sacs and the development feels somewhat cookie-cutter, but I've seen much worse (where all the houses look the same; not here). The homes here are nice and currently sell for roughly around half a million dollars. The main entrance to the neighborhood is on Kimball Bridge Road. However, the neighborhood can also be accessed via smaller residential roads, Windham Way and Grenadier Lane, which are attached to the neighboring subdivision. On those smaller roads, small brick posts let you know you've entered Tuxford. Tuxford has a pool and six tennis courts. Most of the homes do not have their own individual pool. The neighborhood is very close to Ocee Park which has more tennis courts, outdoor basketball courts, beach volleyball courts, baseball and soccer fields, and a playground. You have to drive out of the subdivision to get there. There are a lot of trees in the neighborhood (mostly, behind the houses). There are no sidewalks. The community is not gated nor do I think there is private security. The neighborhood is about five minutes away from Georgia 400, less than 10 minutes away from both Avalon and North Point Mall, and about 30-40 minutes away from downtown Atlanta without traffic. With traffic, expect a haul to the city to take around an hour. To the airport, expect a 35-45 minute drive or 1:20-1:30 in traffic. Overall, Tuxford feels safe and peaceful and it looks like a good place to raise a family. It's family-friendly and dog-friendly.
