The bathrooms used to be filthy every time I would come in from 2020-2022. I would see workers cleaning them after 12 noon generally, but I just always happened to catch them when they were still pretty grimy. Recently, I went in this past Friday, January 27th, and the ladies' room was actually spotless compared to the other times I've seen it! Maybe I just caught it on a good day, maybe it was too cold for people to be out soiling it with heavy use, or maybe they've employed more workers to this park in the new year, but in any case it was a pleasant surprise. That's really the only gripe I've had historically with this park in the 3 years that I've been living in Norcross. Briscoe, Shorty Howell, Alexander, and Bethesda are probably some of my favorite Gwinnett parks just to name a few for various reasons, but Graves Park still trumps many Dekalb or Fulton parks in terms of cleanliness, overall safety, accessibility, parking, walking trails, scenery, and available picnic areas/ bathrooms. A lot of people love Graves for the dog park section. I haven't had a dog since my childhood, but it seems like a good place to let your furry friends run if you need the space. I personally like this park for the trails. There is a longer looping option through the woods and a shorter loop around volleyball/ tennis courts and the backside of the playground. All the patrons here are pretty friendly that I've encountered. If you need to get out of busy soul crushing traffic on Chamblee-Tucker Road or Jimmy Carter, come stretch your legs at Graves Park - a nice little getaway from the madness.

Shade is hard to come by in the middle of a hot Atlanta day - so, if you don't want to die from a heat stroke, come equipped with a tent or something. The main attraction is a splash pool that kids just go ga-ga over. There is pretty good parking options available, with just a short walking distance to the splash pool, even shorter to the playground. Apparently, this is a predominantly Latino neighborhood, judging by the dialects used by kids and adults alike. There are some peddling their wares (food, drink etc.), but they are not particularly intrusive. We had a fun and hot afternoon!

Due to the remote nature of the trail, it looked extremely unsafe to leave the car and go hiking for a couple of hours. #2 The trail was not maintained at all. There were overgrown bushes, logs that poked out with the trail looking unsafe to maneuver during wet seasons. It was surprising as it was a paid trail. I have seen much better-looking free trails than the Jones Bridge trail. #3 Bathroom was not maintained either. It smelled really bad with no hand soap either. Again, I have seen better maintained free trails with lot more amenities than this one.

Tucked right at the…read morecorners of Roswell, Alpharetta, and Johns Creek is this spacious park with access to the Chattahoochee River, a bunch of little trails, and even a little bit of history. I read some of the info posted along the paths near the fountains and learned that Roswell actually used to be part of Cobb County. I had no idea and found that really interesting having just moved here to Georgia earlier in the year. They had some other facts about the area and history on that part of the river too. What was great about this park was that it was pretty dead on a weekday morning. A lot of other parks are usually busy at this time, since we are still going thru the pandemic of course. I think we only saw one other person on the trail (with plenty of room to distance) and one other person parked in a car off to the side of the trail. We enjoyed the seclusion. I liked everything about the park - the gazebo and fountain area, the view of the river down the trail, the historical value, etc. Just a nice place to exercise or go to relax. We went here on a Saturday when the weather looked like it was going to hold up, but Georgia weather could be unpredictable and it started pouring cold rain in the middle of our two hour session. The staff told us that we cannot get our money back for the additional time we didn't use, and we also could not get a credit to use for another time. I wasn't very pleased with that, because we cannot predict the weather, and we also cannot allow ourselves to get rained on with cold rain and risk getting sick. So we really had no other option, except to forfeit the additional hour and lose our money.

This not being my first time paddle boarding , but first time renting, I was presently surprised that the staff was just the right amount of informative. Loved the experience.
