I know the conversation the office manager had with her and I didn't even need to be there to know that it was predatory practices. All while the manager had an attitude while talking with me, her admitting to me that it was a lot of information that she discussed with her and being condescending by insinuating that my mother-in-law is not of sound mind and that she feels that my assumption of the conversation was not how it went. This office took advantage of my elderly mother-in-law in an absolutely unacceptable and predatory way. They pressured her into applying for a credit card to pay for dental work without clearly explaining what she was agreeing to -- no itemized list of services rendered, no paperwork outlining what still needed to be done, and no documentation regarding the financing they encouraged her to sign up for, knowingly giving her a lot of information at once. She was made to feel like she had no choice, made to her feel like she might lose all her teeth, and was emotionally backed into a corner. The staff openly admitted to overwhelming her with information, but instead of acting ethically or with compassion -- especially knowing she's on a fixed income -- they pushed forward with what felt like a high-pressure sales tactic. This is not how healthcare professionals should treat anyone, let alone a vulnerable senior. Their priority was clearly getting paid, not patient care. If you're considering this practice, especially for an older loved one, I strongly urge you to be cautious and demand full transparency before agreeing to anything. I am noticing something important that I would like to point out. They have no response to any reviews, good or bad. If they really felt like they wronged someone, a good business usually tries to make it right. They haven't commented on anything at all, which tells me it could be a liability for them and have likely been urged by lawyers not to....DO NOT GO HERE!!

I originally came in for an Invisalign and wisdom teeth consultation, and I ended up leaving with two wisdom teeth extracted, my next Invisalign appointment scheduled, and a payment plan set up all in a single visit. The technology they use is impressive. One of the coolest parts was seeing an AI-generated preview of what my teeth could look like after Invisalign treatment. Everyone in the back office was friendly and professional as well. As for the doctor, he was awesome, personable, funny, and able to keep me relaxed with jokes when appropriate. At the same time, he was honest, knowledgeable, and focused on what would be best for me in the long run. I started coming here a few months ago because my regular dentist had no emergency appointments and I had broke a back tooth in half and it was painful and wouldn't stop bleeding. They were able to get me in the following day. I arrive thinking I would only get a consultation and maybe antibiotics, but nope! They were about to an exam and do my root canal the same day! When he asked if I was in any pain or had any concerns, I began explaining what was bothering me. Instead of listening, he dismissed every single concern I raised. He dismissed the fact that I was in pain and argued with me that my tooth was not chipped, insisting it was only a tiny dent. He also told me that the fracture lines another dentist had pointed out did not exist and repeatedly insisted that fracture lines cannot be seen without a microscope. He then had a lighted mirror brought over and told me to show him what I was talking about. After I pointed out the area, he again insisted that fracture lines cannot be seen without a microscope. That is simply not true. You can absolutely see the craze lines that I'm talking about if you care to look. He continued arguing that my tooth was not chipped, despite what I was showing him. I explained that another dentist had planned to refer me to an endodontist because of my symptoms, but that I was in pain now and needed help. Dr. Al Janabi told me an endodontist was unnecessary and that there was nothing that could be done because, according to him, it was only a dent and not a chip. He also told me that I do not grind my teeth and that every other dentist who had previously told me I did was misinformed. He then stated that tooth #19 does not need a root canal, despite the fact that two different dentists have told me it does. He became very aggressive, repeatedly saying, "Your tooth is perfect. Your teeth are perfect. There is nothing wrong with your nerves. Come see your X-rays!" His tone made me feel as though I was being scolded rather than spoken to respectfully. I told him that another dentist had recently informed me that I have five cavities. His response was, "If another dentist said you have five cavities, why are you here? Go to them!" He then aggressively repeated that I should go back to the other dentist instead of addressing why I had come in for a second opinion. When I explained that I was there because I wanted a second opinion, he continued aggressively repeating that I should just go to the other dentist. By that point, I felt extremely uncomfortable and felt like I was being chastised simply for seeking another professional opinion. What was especially concerning to me was that he did not perform what I felt was a thorough examination. Although a full set of X-rays was taken, he only examined the three teeth I identified as hurting. He did not examine the rest of my mouth before declaring that I had no cavities and that my teeth were "perfect." He never even asked which teeth another dentist had identified as having cavities, even though some of those teeth were on my upper arch and were never examined. I do not understand how someone can confidently state that I have no cavities without examining all of my teeth. The only diagnosis he gave me was that I have gum disease and needed a deep cleaning. I left the appointment feeling unheard, dismissed, and extremely uncomfortable. I went there because I was in pain and wanted a second opinion. Instead, I felt that my concerns were repeatedly dismissed, I was spoken to in an argumentative and aggressive manner, and I left feeling that I had been treated with disrespect throughout the appointment. Based on my experience, I will not be returning to this office, and I cannot recommend Dr. Al Janabi

The treatment and reception I received after the switch was about the same which wasn't bad at all, but it was satisfactory at best. After a routine cleaning last November or December, I ended up wanting to move forward with a wisdom tooth extraction so they referred me to their Arden location, Arden Oaks Dental. The atmosphere and treatments I received here have been phenomenal. My wisdom tooth extraction was back in January or February so I don't remember the names of the staff but they were very accommodating, kept me informed/educated every step of the way, and the doctor that performed the extraction even followed up via text. Text??! Really?! Dude that was the most above and beyond service I've gotten from a dental office lol. After that I was sold on switching my primary dental office to this location. In all honesty, this place is a lot closer to home, BUT this is the kind of service I would go out of my way and drive further to get to. Great customer service goes a long way and the environment here makes you really feel as comfortable as possible, even though I feel my blood pressure rising anytime I'm in any kind of medical/dental office lol. Today I received a routine cleaning by Lovila and she was super kind, and just like the other staff kept me informed of every single step she took. My teeth had some pretty good buildup so the cleaning took longer than usual but Lovila made it a breeze and I was even dozing off for a good amount of the time my teeth were getting worked on. Especially when it comes to my medical/dental care. I used to go to a dentist less than a mile from where I live - which was phenomenal and worked well with my schedule. My sister, Shareen, has been raving about Dr. Patel for a few years (she even entered Dr. Patel's number in my contact list a while back). In January, I started having this pain on my left side of the mouth (about a couple of weeks after my last routine dental appointment at my regular dentist)...long story short, I ended up needing a root canal and found out that I had a cracked tooth that was progressively getting worse. Which led me to think - maybe my dentist should have caught it during my last very recent visit). Anyway, fast forward to today. I switched to Dr. Patel in late January and am extremely thrilled. The entire team is helpful, cheerful, knowledgeable and makes for a pleasant experience. The office is conveniently located (not under a mile from my home, but it is an absolutely worthwhile trade-off). I ended up needing a crown and the team worked around my schedule and kept in contact with me for any openings that may come up before my scheduled appointment. The text communication is super helpful, as a I spend most of my work life on conference calls. During my prep to get the tooth ready for the crown, I did not like all the "stuff" happening in my mouth, so Dr. Patel would pause after every few seconds and make sure I was okay. I think the procedure took about 30 minutes, but it felt like it went by much faster, even though Dr. Patel would stop for me to make sure I was okay. That is how efficient he is! Oh and they have a TV mounted to the ceiling, so you can actually have something to do instead of just laying there. AND - they give you awesome headphones so you can catch up on your old episodes of Friends or Narcos or whatever! And while writing this review, I found out that my other sister, Shane is also a patient of Dr. Patel. We are making this a family dentist! Pam is a terrific, Bonnie is awesome, Kelsey is superb, Kasandra is a delight, and Dr. Patel is a Rockstar! I highly recommend them.

Kind of a relaxed, chic welcoming feel to it. After spending the last couple of years with Dr. Patel and his amazing team working through a comprehensive treatment plan (crowns and veneers) I can honestly say that this is best professional service I've ever had. Dr. Patel and his team, especially (Jessi who is in the front) generously spent the extra time working through a complicated insurance plan situation with the up most patience, always keeping me in the loop through the process. Appointments were always made to best fit my schedule and there was never a feeling of being rushed during the many consultations as the treatment plan constantly evolved. Gabi , Erica and Nathalie are always extra patient with me as I have severe anxiety about having poking and prodding done to my mouth. (YES, like a little kid LOL ) There is never a day that you look forward to going to the dentist but Dr. Patel excels at making the experience somehow almost tolerable and humane.
