In all my life I've never been in a dentist office and heard multiple people scream. Then I met the dentist-he's only there on Tuesdays from LA, I asked if he had a heavy or gentle hand and he replied that he wasn't gentle and right away asked if I was on any meds, just talking fast and quick while holding the numbing needle in hand 2 inches away from my face. NO TOPICAL ANESTHETIC WAS PLACED and the psycho dentist began injecting my gums with the numbing needles. I have had tattoos, lip injection, natural birth and have a very high pain threshold-this butcher is aggressive and slightly sadistic. I felt rushed, dismissed, hurried. PREMIER DENTAL GROUP is NOT my normal Dental office. I was referred here to see their specialists (Endodontist and Oral Surgeon), which my dental office does not have on staff. For the most part, it has been a NIGHTMARE visiting this office. Every patient deserves to be treated with care, kindness and compassion. If a doctor/dentist is not able to provide this type of bedside manner, they should NOT be able to practice dentistry or medicine. Pros: - Take Smile California (formerly known as Denti-Cal) insurance - Endodontist (dental specialist) available (it was NOT easy to find an available Endodontist that accepts Smile California in the Sacramento/Placer area) - Oral Surgeon (dental specialist) available - Accepting new patients - The Endodontist I met was very knowledgeable, caring and kind (sadly, I don't remember his name!) Cons: - WAITING ROOM: STRANGE, UNCOMFORTABLE, and HOT (during the summer). It is huge, but doesn't have a lot of seating and the chairs are all plastic and uncomfortable, which is unfortunate for patients like us who waited over an hour. There is a turned off TV against one wall which serves no purpose. - DON'T TRUST THE FRONT OFFICE STAFF and DON'T LEAVE THE WAITING ROOM. Since the waiting room is so uncomfortable, the first time I came to this office I specifically asked how long the wait would be (she said at least 30 minutes), told the receptionist I would be in my car outside because I am uncomfortable in their waiting room, and asked if they would call me on my phone if for some reason I was called before the 30 minutes. I was reassured that they would call or text my cell phone if I was called but not in the waiting room. Still, after I filled out my new patient paperwork, my father went to wait in the waiting room. I came back after the 30 minutes and stayed in the waiting room as well. When I asked how much longer it would be, they told me that they had already called me and since I wasn't in the waiting room, they moved on to the next patient. This was impossible, since my father had been waiting there. They also used this excuse on another patient who had been waiting over 2 hours and she had never left the waiting room, not even to go to the bathroom. Also, no one ever called or texted my cell phone like they promised to in case they called me and I wasn't there. I would not trust them to call/text me in the future. I don't recommend leaving the waiting room for any reason unless you have someone with you who can wait in your place. When we left and tried to schedule a follow up appointment, we were told nothing was available for several months. However, once we told the receptionist that the doctor had said we would be able to come back the following week, suddenly an appointment became available and we were scheduled. When we came back the following week for our appointment, the receptionist told us that we had called and cancelled this appointment. Believe me I did not cancel this appointment and am the only one authorized to cancel it. Fortunately, they still agreed to see us. - SADISTIC ORAL SURGEON. I had 2 extractions scheduled (2 molars which are harder to get out). DAVID S PARK, DDS (Lic #53724) did NOT use any topical anesthetic before he began jabbing my gums with needles. Every time I have had anesthetic injected into my gums, the dentist waits a little after the first shot for me to numb up . Dr. PARK did NOT wait. I felt the entirety of all 5 or 6 shots that he injected one, immediately, after the other. I literally screamed and he didn't stop or slow down. By the end of the shots I was crying. He did not care. DR. PARK also CUT OUT a fairly large piece of my GUM without telling me he would or telling me after that he did or ever explaining why he did this. I wouldn't even have known if I hadn't seen my tooth, still attached to the gum on his tray. I was NOT able to ask questions and when I was home I was not sure how to apply the materials they gave me for my gums. FURTHERMORE, DR. PARK asked me to list ALL my CURRENT MEDICATIONS before he began the extractions. I listed them ALL, I am positive, but DR. PARK PRESCRIBED ME A PAIN MEDICATION THAT IS NOT EFFECTIVE WHEN COMBINED WITH MY CURRENT MEDICATIONS. My PHARMACY tried ALL DAY to reach him and change the medication to something that WOULD WORK and NEVER GOT AHOLD OF HIM. I was left with NO PAIN MEDICATION. I even told Dr. Park, before he began, that I am anxious and to please be gentle because I am scared. - DENTIST WITH REVOKED LICENSE? This dentist is on their prescription pad, and when I searched his LIC#: https://search.dca.ca.gov/details/4401/DDS/51427/fe580a931cf23ef936852b1a3b65b701 I am supposed to come back in 1 month to get my stitches removed. I am trying to find an alternative to returning here. I have had an extraction before and have had my wisdom teeth removed without general anesthesia and both of those experiences were a lot more pleasant than the extractions DR. When I arrived I was told by the gal at the front desk if I wanted my teeth cleaned, I would have to pay, becuz my insurance only covers one per year, which I do not believe is correct. I was referred to this office by my dental insurance. They have the worst customer service ever! I could never contact the office directly, the call center sent messages that were never answered. They had the wrong insurance info and would not call me back so I could correct it. They cancelled my appointment twice due to their error. When I finally was able to text someone they still did not resolve it or contact me directly. After this experience I checked Google and Yelp reviews and saw they had 1.2 & 1.7!!! This is by far the worst place I have encounter. The receptionist are young adults who are not professional and don't seem to care about their jobs. I should've checked the reviews prior to taking time off work and gas. I arrived to the office and the waiting area was dirty, seems as if they haven't cleaned it in a while. There were 2 patients in line and we were all informed they didn't have a provider today, all appointments needed to be rescheduled. When I mentioned it would be nice to reach out to the patients and inform them, one of the receptionists was quick to say they did, via text message at 8am. I checked my phone and even verified my phone number with them. Nobody notified any of us and you still have the nerve to tell us you did. One of the patients infront of me stated this was the second time his daughters appointment needed to be rescheduled, and he asked to speak with a manager. One of the receptionists told him to sit down and when the manager is available they will speak with him. Please provide your receptionists with futher training. Came here to get simple fillings and 2 months later I still cannot eat properly. One filling fell out 2 weeks after it was done . Also got a filling on my front tooth and it uneven and does not look good . I requested them to fix it and the male hygienist basically told me he did it on purpose for a reason that didn't make sense . I would suggest not to go here at all cost !!! My kids and I are new members. Yes, the place isn't new, and it could use an update, however this review is not for the appearance of the waiting area. This review is solely on the staff. We were greeted as soon as we walked in, we checked in and was given some forms to fill out. As soon as we were called to the back the staff made my son feel really comfortable. He's had bad experiences at another local dental office before so it takes him a while to warm up. Absolutely the worst experience I have ever had at a dental office. My other dentist was sick the day I was to come in to have my broken crown looked at, so I called to try to get an appointment ASAP since I could tell it was rotting inside. I got one for January 27 from doctor "Sean" (I doubt it, he was Middle Eastern and had a thick accent and was a total misogynist). After X-rays and walking through a really dirty back office, I waited for this "dentist" to come to look at the crown. He kept asking the same questions over and over and then got very angry because I had canker sores due to this and other minor mouth injuries. I tried to explain where they came from but he stuck his thumb in my mouth and pressed on the most painful sore and held it there to keep me from talking. He said "I'm talking now. When I have a question, you answer." From there he said things like "we can't do anything for a virus. Bacteria, yes. Virus, no." about 5x in succession. I knew that was wrong but he treated me like a stupid person. Then said I shouldn't use mouth rinse, only eat bland lukewarm food, and that it would take 10-14 days to go away and there was nothing I could do about it. Even his assistant seemed surprised that he refused to treat my loose crown. He then said I should see my doctor or go to the hospital right away because the canker sores were very bad and that I should take my dental health seriously. That's is why I made the mistake of going there in the first place - to take care of my dental health. At this point, they'll probably have to pull my tooth instead of resetting the crown, which sits quite nicely over the tooth. He also told me not to take it out, which is what I'd been doing to keep it from rotting. I contacted my doctor, who assured me he was completely wrong and gave me an antiviral, an antibiotic, and a mouthwash that relieved the pain and helped heal the canker sores. I called to get his name and to get another appointment with anyone BUT this office, and the representative was rude and intentionally obtuse. So she claimed the office manager of the original office would call me back. Avoid PREMIER DENTAL like the plague that it is. DO NOT GO HERE: Premier Dental, Dr. Sean (?), middle eastern, heavy accent, VERY rude. Seriously what I went through at this establishment was out of an episode of a soap opera to get a root canal. For anyone looking to go to this establishment DON'T!! Short version. (By the way I live 1 hour and 30 mins. away from this establishment. Keep this in mind.) 1st trip. I had someone cover my shift to get my root canal. They called me 30 minutes before my appointment to cancel and I was few minutes away from the location. 2nd trip. Again I had to get some to cover my shift. They supposedly didn't get my x-rays from Western Dental and said that I couldn't get my root canal that day and I needed to get x-rays and come back. I called and they called for them to get the x-rays sent over. They said it was incomplete so I had to get it redo it again. They are so full of it. I saw what was sent to them and it was complete but I still did the x-ray because they needed it. ( they didn't get my root canal approved before I got there so all of this is bs that's why I had to do x-ray) Then they checked it and verified tooth number 13 needed a root canal LIKE WHAT EXACTLY WESTERN DENTAL SAID. 3rd trip. I'm in so much pain. My root canal was supposed be be done in Dec. It's January. I'm in soooo much pain. I'm thinking yes it going to get done. Approval and everything set. For the 3rd time I have someone cover my shift. I'm seated the dentist started to start hitting tooth number 30. I was asking him what is he doing that the root canal was for number 13. So come to find out they switched ny chart with someone else's, got the approval for the wrong tooth, and now the Dr. was telling them to get it switched but they can't and I have to go thru the whole process again. So the guy brings me to the front with a the lady and they are supposedly on the phone with their District Manager and it sounds like someone is getting fired. They now tell me that the dentist who is working on someone else now, is going to get fired after he's done working on his last patient. Whattt!!! This is insane. They gave me the HQ number because they thought I wouldn't really call. And I find out they are lying. I spoke to the district manager assistant and she said he wasn't even in the office today that he is sick and won't be returning for the next few days. I told her what happened. She was appalled and didn't believe what was happening so she ask to speak to the lady at the office. So I agreed. I went inside put my phone on speaker so the secretary could hear. And I said " so the district manager called from the office and fired the dentist so I can't get my root canal today right? You know this is my 3rd time here and this is crazy.. I can't believe this is happening I live 1 and 1/2 hours away. Is there anyway I can speak to your DM ?" She said no he's busy at the office dealing with this. I said really with a grin I have the DM secretary on the phone right now on speaker and she would love to speak to you. Her face turned white and started making up crazy stories and told me to hang up the phone. I left without getting anything done. This is the worst Dental office represented by Access Dental. I don't know why they are still on the list of Dentist to go to. There have been so many complaints against this office how is this office still operating. Every person at that office are so rude and don't respect anyone! They never answer the phone and never return anyone's calls. They cancel appointments all the time only through text messages so they don't have to reschedule your appointments knowing when you call in the reschedule your appt they won't answer.
