    Breakfast Sandwich with Hash Browns
    Alan S.

We stopped at Garrett's Mill for breakfast recently and had a very good experience. The service was excellent as our server kept our coffee cups full and made sure our food tasted good. The breakfast sandwich was one of the best I have had with the bacon being the highlight. The hash browns were nicely browned but warm at best. I would recommend this restaurant.

4.5 Stars Was in the area for a visit to some extended family and decided to stop in for brunch. It was delicious! Had to try the famous pancakes - they had a nice crisp edge and tasted like they were made with salted butter which was a pleasant addition. Interestingly, when I first tasted them, they were fluffy but got a tad gummy as the meal progressed, maybe from steaming in a stack, I don't know. They still tasted good. My wife and I split two dishes - the chicken and waffles and the corned beef hash. The chicken was small nuggets of breast meat, which works, because there were no bones to contend with and they were juicy and nicely spiced. The corned beef hash was very filling and tasty. The beef was minced fine but the potatoes were more hefty chunks. My wife liked that; I found it to be a mismatch (I think I prefer it all be big chunks or all finer and fried, but that's just my preference). All dishes came with big side of fruit. Top notch service. There was a small team of waiters buzzing around the restaurant, filling coffees, taking orders, and delivering food. My kids loved the salted caramel hot chocolate but, like many little kids, devoured the whipped cream first. One nice waitress came over and asked "you want more whipped cream?" to which they eagerly replied "yes!" The owner was super friendly and was working hard at the griddle. Even during one phone call to the restaurant in which he appeared to tell the prankster off, he still did it was a giant smile on his face - the man loves his job, I guess. The prices are fair, the food is good, and the service impeccable. Definitely recommend.

This great local diner occasionally has Friday night specials. Tonight's is cheese hamburgers not a smash thin nothing but a meaty hamburger. If you miss the specials, you have to have to for breakfast or lunch among the BEST diners in north east Ohio. Fabulous omelets. 'World's Best Pancakes', Great thick bacon. Real fresh fruit cups. Fruits and vegetables from local farmers (when available). Local roaster coffee. And local micro brew beer plus bloody Mary's and other speciality drinks.

We had ordered to go before, and the food was great! Today we got to eat in and had a great experience. Tiny restaurant with great food and very friendly staff. They say they have the best pancakes, and I now believe this is true! Also, great breakfast croissant sandwiches. Highly recommended, next visit we'll try the lunch menu!

Every time I come to this restaurant, I love it more. They make everything from scratch, including their soups they buy everything they can from local farms they hire handicap people giving them opportunities the owner. Brian is amazing. What a nice human with a great outgoing personality always trying to serve. I highly recommend this restaurant. The prices are pretty good too for what you're getting. They also make amazing savory or sweet crêpes.

This is hands down one of the best diners in northeast Ohio. The owner works onsite and takes incredible care of every customer along with his team. The food and service are excellent and I will be back for many years to come. It's hard to find food made with love in a restaurant anymore, but this place is filled with good food and lots of love.

Garretts Mills is a great example of a mom and pop shop. I went there 2 mornings in a row while visiting from out of town. Both days we spoke with the owner/cook and heard all about the local fresh vegetables and ingredients. The food and service round off the positive experience that we had. I will definitely be back when visiting again.

A coffee shop that I can easily visit between hikes in a national park? Heck yes!…read more I stopped by the Peninsula Coffee House and Market during a weekend trip to Cuyahoga Valley National Park this year. I was lucky and snagged a parking space in front of the business; their parking is VERY limited and I'm surprised I didn't have to use a lot that was across a bridge. (Note that the bridge is right by the coffee shop, so it wouldn't have been a long trek at all.) I ordered a Butterscotch Latte and a Sausage, Biscuit & Egg breakfast sandwich; snagged a seat near the front of the store; and settled in for a relaxing break between my hikes. The coffee was excellent and the sandwich really hit the spot! While seating in the lower level is limited, I've learned reading other reviews that there is an outdoor patio and an upper level too. Their website mentions that they run a sundry market here too; however I didn't spend much time shopping in the interest of not stretching my wallet too far during my travels. I also didn't check out the wine cellar in the lower level. While this shop is little, it clearly has a lot to offer, and I am so glad I found it during my visit to Cuyahoga. I'd absolutely stop by again during future visits to the area...and I'd love to time my next visit so I can check out that wine cellar!
