These folks flaked on both appointments to come and assess our property. We were ready to hire them and commit to their monthly rate but not only did they not show up, they didn't even call. I wouldn't recommend them. I went to an airbnb discovered it had bedbugs and promptly left. Called them for an inspection they were fine they did a very basic inspection but didn't find anything. Said it was probably too early (it probably was) still charged me $130 for it though. I call back a few days later and tell them I know I have bed bugs I'm being bitten and my son is being bitten. The inspector who came the first time asks if I found a carcass? I hadn't. So they refuse to come out again until I do. Says it's unethical to treat, and basically ends the conversation there. Again nice people but they do not really seem to have a lot of empathy for the people having the issue. I call terminex they do more through inspection. They find bed bug shells from their molting and I have a treatment scheduled for three days later. Go with terminex the inspection is free. read more

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE never in my life have i seen such horrible service they do not spray they come in and leave even though u tell them you have bugs the persons reaction is oh if we don't see anything we don't spray this company making tons of money and ripping people off!!! Very unprofessional I am a owner of several,multi family buildings. I never in my life had a company service the same apartments for 1 year. off in on for bed bugs.The Tech (justin)is sloppy and his work sloppier. I have a collection of bedlam sprays that he has left in apartments. Very dangerous practices and not effective enough service read more

After a couple of bad experiences with other companies I was hesitant about using pest control services. I never felt that they truly wanted to help solve my issues but just charge as much as they could and then leave. However, a friend referred me to Garrie Pest Control and my opinion was changed. If I could give them a 0 I would. Not only does their treatment for ticks and mosquitos NOT work, their customer service is HORRIBLE! We signed up in the beginning of May for treatment. The came on May 12 to treat. The didn't come again for 43 days to treat! (however in the 30-45 day window they state in their contract). They came again on July 26th. 2 days later I was getting bitten like crazy while in my backyard. I called to ask them to retreat and they said they could come on Aug 3. Next thing I know I get a message saying they can't come now until Aug 9th. We asked when we signed up if they had a guarantee they said, "Yes, We want our customers to be happy." They DO NOT stand by their treatment. Read the contract carefully! They will NOT give you a refund if you an unsatisfied, nor will they do anything to keep their customers happy. I would NOT recommend them based on effectiveness OR customer service. Run don't walk to find a better pest control company. read more

Be forewarned. My two year old golden retriever found one of the poison packets placed in the kitchen and started chewing on it while the service person was still installing them. Thank goodness I caught her in time and she was not harmed. His explanation was he "thought" he placed it far enough under the fridge that she would not get it. This despite numerous assurances on the phone prior to the appt and by the serviceperson himself that they are extremely careful to make sure small children and pets are safe. To say I was upset is putting it mildly. He removed whatever he had already installed and did not charge me. I would NEVER use these people again, and I would urge you to be very careful if you have pets and/or small kids. read more

Horrible!!! I had a problem with wasps. I called the company and a guy showed up 5 mins later. He had no equipment. He refused to go to the attic, had no ladder. He looked outside the window. He then asked for a cash payment and asked us not to call or tell the office. We paid him to get him out of our house basically as he was a little weird. So we have a 10 month old baby. We called another company and they had much better equipment, found we had thousands of wasps, and where the first guy looked out the window he would have seen the nests all over the outside, he lied and said he saw nothing. IF we had waited like he said it could have been physically serious for our baby as she sleeps upstairs where the problem was. The second company took care of the problem, and were amazing. This first guy had no regard for our safety or our babies and basically scammed us and his employer out of money. read more

One pest control technician from this company illegally took pictures of my apartment, violating my privacy & making false reports to my landlord. He also did not t the pest control strips in the bags as a freed upon. A second technitionre ported that I had no more problems, even when I showed him fresh bites. He also reported falsely to my landlord that my apartment had a fly problem when it doesn't & complained that I hadn't scooped the litter box because I was so busy bagging stuff up. They only want to please my landlord & I am unconvinced my apartment ispest free. Will be pursuing legal action against them. read more

I wish there was a zero star rating option, because that would more accurately represent this company. I have been using them for a few years when encountering an issue with a bee nest, mice in the house, etc. and they were fine. However, this year I used them to provide a tick treatment for my property. We were having a massive tick infestation and they recommended their organic treatment. They applied the treatment to our property, but 7 days later the ticks were still a massive problem, hundreds of them coming into our house on the dogs daily. When I called Garrie's and asked for them to return immediately to re-treat the yard with their chemical solution, both their department head and a supervisor stated they could not because of "policy". They cannot reapply unless 30 days has passed. However, I was asking them to use a different product then the one originally used (organic vs. chemical) that wouldn't break their policies rules, and they told us "maybe they could come back, but not until a week later." My entire family--children, adults, and pets-- were at high risk for becoming infected with a tick-borne disease, and Garrie, as our service provider did not care to help us or brainstorm solutions. They gave us a hard time and only told us what they COULDN'T do. Bottom line, THEY DO NOT GUARANTEE THEIR WORK like any legitimate company would. We were able to hire a completely different company, and they performed a treatment that very same day, even though we were first time customers. When we asked for a refund from Garrie for the unused portion of our services, they told us no one who could authorize a refund was present. It's been 2 weeks and we are still waiting for a callback from a supervisor. This company just doesn't care about their customers, they are not problem solvers, they do not guarantee their services, and they will not provide a refund or a supervisor upon request. Do yourself a favor and choose one of the many other options out there for your needs. read more

Horrible and ineffective service and giant rip off. We paid thousands of dollars that they convinced us to spend to have them "mouse proof" our basement. We had mice back in the basement almost immediately after we paid for this and have ever since. we continued using them for a few more years and they told us if we sign an annual contract they'll come as often as we like to remove mice from traps in the basement. After a recent call when we had dead mice almost immediately after they last left, they want to charge us an an additional $55+ service to come back even though we pay them almost $600 / year for their "gold shield' service. They also wont clean out mouse droppings or any of that if you ask. Finally, i just took off three hours in the middle of my work day, as they give you a window when they'll show up and they did not show up during that window or bother to call. When i called, they put me on hold then hung up on me. Very condescending tone whenever you try to speak to the folks in their office. Seems like they're busy so i'm sure they don't care but I'll be switching my business elsewhere. read more
