(888) 347-2010, which is the one I'm reviewing) and it saddens me that this is my first Yelp posting ever, but my experience with Chemtech was so negative for squirrel trapping/removal that I had to post. First off, they require full payment up front, which is already an issue, but hey, I had a rodent emergency that seemed... somewhat straightforward, so I figured it'd get resolved quickly and went with it. Second, they can't adhere to any kind of schedule. While setting an appointment, I was dealing with "Steve" who said I wouldn't need to be present when they made their first inspection of the our house and the problem. As a result, I didn't set an official appointment and when the next day rolled around, I got a phone call at 7pm on my way home from work asking, "Where are you? We've been waiting for an hour." Their "inspection" then occurred at 8pm in the dark with a flashlight, when no one could really see anything. Two nights later they put up a couple of traps over some holes that were in spots completely unrelated to where the sounds in the house were coming from and... that was it! No additional searching (particularly in the area of the house that I indicated the noises were coming from), no checkups beyond what was done in the dark at night. And no visits. I finally needed to get some repairs done and asked them two days before the repairs began (around 3 weeks after the traps went up with no success because... they weren't in the right place) to remove the traps so work could begin. No response. So I had the repairmen remove them. Steve went ballistic saying that "his property" had been removed and I "let someone touch his traps." and ended it with "This case is closed." So. Customer service = 0. Value = 0 (They got a LOT of money up front for a total of around 1.5 hrs of work). Success = 0. Avoid at all costs.

He was explaining everything in details and tried to calm me over the phone. He came with Andrew at 8pm on the same day. They did a full inspection of my roof and setup traps at each entry point. After two weeks, my squirrels situation had been resolved and Steve/Andrew came back to close the entry points. Steve was super responsive and professional during the two weeks of waiting and trapping. I was impressed that Steve responded to my call and gave me an appointment on the same day especially it was the day before Thanksgiving. I am extremely happy with their service and would highly recommend them. Thanks for the great service.

I contacted the company because the new house we moved into appeared to have a dead mouse in the wall (odor). We had lots of open spaces around pipes, baseboards, and radiators. The technician came and filled holes with expanding foam somewhat shottily. I just did a second look around and found lots of open spaces where he foamed as well as additional holes that were missed. The worst part of this experience was the fact that my dog ended up eating poison that the technician threw down in the basement. I rushed her to an emergency vet and $875 later the vet told us we just have to wait and see how she does over the next month because she could bleed internally. I immediately texted the technician and told him what happened. He said that he didn't know how many packets he threw down and his boss was making him come back to pick up any left over poison - I agreed. He came back and surveyed the basement for other bags that he threw loosely on the floor. There was no way of knowing how many he actually threw down so now we are constantly uneasy if she goes down to the basement in fear that she will find another bag. The technician saw that I had 2 dogs and although he did ask if they go down to the basement, which I said they usually didn't, he should have known better than to leave loose rat poison strewn across the room. I am beyond upset at this experience and the fact that we cannot live comfortably or at ease in our own home because of such a careless mistake. What's even more upsetting is the fact that the company went ahead and cashed my $300 check with no problem, no follow up email from the owner, which is totally mind boggling. The technician felt bad after what happened and followed up to see how the dog was, but I am in shock that he owner cashed the check without any hesitation.
