Me being new to the area we searched for the closest place and found Pebblewood Dental. They took my mom in right away and she saw Dr. Mendiola. My mom was hoping for something temporary until she returned home. Dr. Mendiola was honest with her in telling her that he did not want to charge her for a temporary fix and if she just kept it clean in the meantime to get it fixed with her dentist back home she should be just fine. Also, he did not charge my mom for the exam since he was unable to provide any type of service other then the exam. My mom and I were shocked. He was not looking out to just make money off of us, he was honest and caring! He was also very thorough and knowledgeable in explaining as to why the temporary fix wasn't necessary! Also, because of this great experience, I decided to return for myself. I was unable to find care for my 11 month old and Dr. Mendiola told me it was perfectly fine to bring him in. I can't explain to you how wonderful and patient all the staff members were to me and my son. Lets just say I will be hiring a babysitter for my next visit for my personal sanity but if I ever needed to bring him with me again I can trust that I have a wonderful staff to make my son and I feel comfortable. Originally went to him for a checkup/cleaning. Discovered 3 cavities. Two were cavities on the…read morewisdom teeth and were fixed with minor fillings. Another was a deeper cavity on a lower molar which required a gold onlay. Here is where the problems began... He had a lab mold the gold onlay and when I came back to have the onlay put on my tooth, it was too high (a bad fit). So rather than adjusting the gold onlay or sending it back to the lab, he started shaving away the upper opposing molar to make the bite fit. He ended up shaving away too much of my opposing upper molar tooth and it ended up being extremely sensitive to harder foods. Noskin claimed that he was just shaving away extra filling on the opposing tooth (an amalgam filling i have had for over 10 years - which has never given me any problems before). However, it was obvious that he took more tooth than old filling off because I lost the natural occulsion ridges on that tooth after he was done shaving it. I went back to Noskin 5-6 times afterwards trying to get the previously good tooth fixed. He tried re-polishing the tooth, putting on de-sentisizer, and even removed the old filling and re-filled it twice. None of which worked. I will be scheduling an appt with another dentist soon. DO NOT GO TO THIS DENTIST FOR ANY MAJOR WORK. For regular cleanings...he is okay. FOR DENTAL WORK THAT REQUIRES SKILL....I WOULD AVOID.

Fast forward two years later, only to find out that the root canal I had performed was not done correctly. After seeing an endontist and two other specialists, I was informed that the post was put THROUGH my tooth and was sticking into my jaw. (please see the photo of the xray taken) As of yesterday, 11/12/2014, the tooth was removed, and a bone graft was put in place. What should have been a simple procedure is now going to cost nearly $5500. As I sat there yesterday, looking at the tooth with the hole right through it, it saddened me to know that I walked away from there and was not informed of the mistake the day that it occurred. I can only hope that other patients take great caution with their trust.

I would not have anyone else scrape away at my mouf. I'm loyal like that. Betty is a joy to talk to and handles that office with precision and pleasantry. Sometimes I call her just to say hi. Okay not really, but I should. And Dr. S., well, he is the last line here that I can't say I look forward to seeing only because he points out everything that I am doing wrong and all the horrors that can lurk inside and sometimes gives me nightmares. Do NOT get the man started on tongue scraping, he can go for an hour. I look at the bad reviews here and just can't believe they're for the same office and same dentist. We've been coming here since 2003. I do miss their old sign with the big smile and bright red lips. Now I pass up turning into their parking lot . Wish they would bring it back.
