6 year old tires that clearly have chunks of it missing that Gary Smith is saying I caused within a 3 month time span and 3,000 miles.

bought my first car from a dealership from here in June and the salesman assured, not only me, my boyfriend, and my mom that the car i picked was up to date, everything was good to go on it, oil change, brakes, and tires. after one week of having the car, i had to get an oil change, which they charged me $300-$350. upon getting my oil changed, they then told me i need new brakes - $300 for the front, $300 for the back. yesterday, i took it to a third party tire shop, which they showed me that the tires on the car are the ORIGINAL tires that came on the car in 2019. Gary Smith Honda sold me a car with 6 year old tires on it. Yes, I bought a used car, but the salesman should have never assured me that the car I picked wouldn't need all of this work done on it, and if he would have told me it did, I either would have chosen a different car, or went somewhere else. Called Gary Smith Honda and told them my issue and all they offered me was a free oil change, after many back and forths and transfers to random people. If you want to get a good reliable car from people you can trust truly avoid this dealership. I have put a total of 3,000 miles on this car, have had it for 3 months, and $1750 in maintenance, because they wanted to make a quick buck. These are the tires in question that have been on the car since 2019. Told my boyfriend that when the car left the dealership "they had tread", so you are telling me that I did this amount of damage to 6 year old tires in 3 months?

My wife and I recently purchased a vehicle from Step One Cadillac in Fort Walton. I had been in…read morecontact with one of their sales people and had decided on the vehicle and the price before coming to the dealership, as we were coming from out of state. We drove 4 hours the night before our appointment, which we had made with the expectation that it would help streamline the process. Unfortunately that did not end up being true. There were multiple errors in the paperwork that the salesman showed us. We ended up having to stop and restart the paperwork with him three times before even getting to signing documents with the finance department. Errors in name, address and email, all of which was information they had ahead of time via our licenses and email correspondence. Another error being not including the discount incentive for financing with the dealership. When we brought that up they tried to push back and say it was already included, but since the price was agreed upon before we arrived we knew this was not true. Upon starting paperwork with the finance department, the paperwork was once again wrong. It was decided the best course of action was to completely restart the paperwork. During this time it was discovered that the vehicle we were purchasing had three open recalls and also a non functioning module. This was a brand new 2026 vehicle. The salesperson knew we were driving from out of state weeks in advance so there is no excuse for having these recalls. The salesman went to talk to the service department who said that they did not have the parts to fix the recalls. We were then told that we would need to contact a local dealer once we returned home to address the recalls. Because of the open recalls we were not able to set up our OnStar account with the car at the dealership. Without functioning OnStar the entire infotainment system was completely unusable. We could not use maps, music, anything. Again, this was a brand new, 2026 vehicle. The solution was to use Bluetooth the directions and music and they sent us on our merry way. After the fact when we voiced our frustrations about the open recalls and safety concerns of them, their response was "well we'd argue the car is still drivable". On top of all that, a few days after we got home they called us back to let us know that once again, the paperwork was wrong and they needed us to resign and send it back. After contacting our home dealership to get the recalls and module fixed, they could not believe Step One sold us a car with open recalls. Saying "they can't do that" with my response being "well they did". I would not purchase a car from Step One unless you first want to get a job there because the only way the paperwork will be correct is if you do it yourself. One star instead of zero because of the price of the car, and because zero stars is not an option, but honestly the price of the car does not make up for all the headaches involved with this dealership.
