They came out at the appropriate time, showed us pictures of the options, and we chose it with no pressure. The gas log set was installed and burning within the hour. A friend recommended Gas Logs Etc after having new logs installed in their old wood burning fireplace. On Monday I went out to their showroom, talked to Larry the owner and selected my logs. On Wednesday Larry came out, as scheduled, ON TIME, and within 90 minutes I had a beautiful fire going. These guys are fabulous! We bought a house and in the fall started looking for logs sets. I have spoken with about 4 different companies, all of whom insisted that I needed remotes, and other various items. All were in the neighborhood of $1,500 for the set and install. That seemed too expensive, and I didn't want the bells and whistles nor did I want a pilot light to worry about. When I called Gas Logs Etc., the owner, Patty, was on the other end of the phone. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and honest. After hearing my story she said that not only do I not need at the bells and whistles, but that the electronics break......a lot. She said she'd sell me those items, but that most likely in 2-3 years I'd be calling her to come out and fix the electronics. So instead, her fabulous husband came to my house with a few different log sets for me to look at in my own fireplace. I found one right away, and he then installed the whole system. They were in my home for 30 minutes total, and the fireplace was burning when they left. The cost was over $700 for all of it - HALF of the cost that the other places shoved down my throat. We LOVE our fireplace, and we use it basically every day now that it's cold. I cannot say enough good things about these guys, nor can I recommend them more highly. You won't go wrong!! We went in to gas logs etc. and they demonstrated all of the different options. We sent more then we thought we would but in no way felt pressured. After it was installed would could not be happier with the results. We went from people who in no way used our fireplace to using it 5 times a week. The sales staff was wonderful and the install crew was clean, cheerful and quick. Could not ask for more. read more
