Such a cute spot for date night or girls night out. My bestie and I came to try the adult happy meal which consist of a wagyu burger, your choice of martini, and fries w/ caviar for $22! It was such a good meal for the price! Service was great and if you come at 9pm, they have karoke!

Incredible service here! I wish I remembered the bartender's name but he did a great job chatting with guests, making sure they were alright, and mixing great drinks. The DJ did a great job keeping the crowd dancing and singing to mostly nostalgic y2k hits. I had no clue that this was THE SPOT for karaoke. I loved how much fun the crowd was having no matter who was singing. This isn't a spot where serious singer go for karaoke, but more for the casually courageous and tipsy. A lot of the guests appeared to be a fun and friendly group of people in their early 30s. I would love to come back here for another fun night out!

If I can give a half star I would . Just for the young men trying to get people in , btw very nice . We got invited into this place by a promoter and said he'd give us a free glass of champagne, my friend and I finished it and asked if we can get another glass of what we just had and before I can finish he said NO it's for promotion only , so we looked for another type of champagne I wanted to taste it before my friend and I bought the 120$ bottle of one of their champagnes . It was pretty loud I their so I pointed to the champagne I wanted to get and he said to me "YOU CANT PRONOUNCE IT ? " I said sorry I didn't think you could hear me so I pointed it , I told one of the security how I thought he was being rude for no apparent reason he apologized and they gave me another free glass , so we attempted to order again a glass of champagne to BUY not get for freee and again he said NO ! so my friend and I walked out , and we met our other friends outside and he told our friends that "we just wanted free drinks ! Hahahah we have money to buy our own drinks just letting this establishment know ! If they're going to have this kind of treatment I DONT RECOMMEND THEM.

I meant to review this place months ago, but I was in San Diego for and got sidetracked! I came here for an event that was hosted by an associate of an associate. Because she was hosting an event here I did not pay a cover charge. This is a smaller to midsized establishment that serves various types of drinks, has food, plays music, and allows randoms to do karaoke! There isn't much room to dance, so don't expect to be able to do anything crazy, but I was able to get into the vibe and do a lil' side to side. They have a VIP area, and they play stuff on this projector type screen that matches the music when people aren't singing. Which btw, you can go up to the DJ area and put in a request to sing. People sang popular songs from all different decades. There is a slight dress code that I didn't have a problem with (I had a dress and some heels on), but I did hear from some other associates that they were turned away. So try not to come dressed too casual, or at least check with the establishment. (Price Range): $30+ (Crowd): Most of the people were chill and I danced with a couple of strangers. The majority age range seemed to be late 20s to late 30s. (Music): They played a lot of classic hits in the R&B, Hip-Hop, and other genres. I cannot remember exactly songs, but I do remember knowing a lot of them and liking them very much. (Location): It's in a very high traffic area of Gaslamp. There were hundreds of people and traffic was constantly being held up due to the congestion. Parking is pretty much non existent, but that's how Gaslamp functions. I took an Uber there, so I suggest doing the same. There is also a light rail not too far from the area, but it stops around 12:30 am, so it wasn't a good option when the clubs close a bit later. Seemed fairly safe in comparison to the other areas of San Diego. (Drinks): I tried two different drinks; a heavier mixed drink (maybe the South of Naples) and a sweeter, more fruity mixed drink that I liked a lot. I believe it was the Amore 75. The drinks didn't taste watered down and they were served in actual glasses. I couldn't handle anymore drinks because we decided to go to another place, but I definitely would have. I paid something around $17 for each drink. (Service): The entire reason I am even leaving a review is because of the excellent service that I received from the gorgeous woman (she had long braids or twists and reminded me of Zoe Kravitz) who took my drink orders. I wasn't able to get a drink at the bar, but she saw me and asked what I wanted. She was very friendly and even suggested a drink after my drink choice turned out to not be something I really liked. I did not expect to receive such great service due to experiences that I've had in the past, but she really made my time there enjoyable.

Take on p*rnstar martini!

Update: I contacted management via their email address, they replied to my email, I sent the receipt and details so they could refund the order..it's been FOUR months and they completely ghosted me. Absolute absurdity.

We absolutely adored our experience at cocktails and karaoke, gas lamp, lighter! We danced a little, we karaoked a little . Super fun. No charge , you just have to have the guts to grab the microphone and go up when your name is called from the sign-up sheet and sing your heart out... everybody was doing. It was so much fun. What a great way to spend a couple of hours.

Finally made it to Gaslamplighter, and honestly, no complaints! (*note we got there at opening on a Thursday) As someone who loves checking out new spots, I'd been meaning to get here for a while. The space is a bit smaller than I expected, but that's on me, especially knowing their OG location was a true dive in both size and style. This one has definitely leveled up. Stopped in for drinks with my girl friend before dinner and had just enough time to enjoy a couple of well-made cocktails and their beautifully presented Aperitivo app--both solid choices. Excited to come back with a group and take on some karaoke. Also, worth noting: they have an "Aperitivo Hour" with $13 martinis and snacks, which is a nice touch. Looking forward to round two

Gaslamplighter is definitely a Saturday night vibe. It is more of a younger crowd that is singing their hearts out during karaoke. However, social media portrays this place more lounge, speakeasy older feel which is the complete opposite but we had a good time regardless. Reservations required prepay for burgers with a table. The burgers were delicious but it was a bit awkward eating when everyone is in a party mode around you so we felt a bit out of place. Otherwise cocktail menu is on point and loved the spa water cucumber drink $16. The waitresses were really kind and had great recommendations. They kept the drinks flowing which matched the vibe. This is a lively spot in gaslamp if you are looking to let loose!

Cheeseburger, fries and mini martini deal

Great spot for drinks and karaoke. They were running a special - cheeseburger, fries and mini martini for $22 which was a great deal. This place had great vibes and will def go back!

My friend and I were staying in downtown and decided to hop around Gaslamp. This was one of the stops and have been wanting to check them out when they first opened. We went in April and sat at the bar. Since it was early, around 8:30pm, it was pretty dead. I liked that they had two musicians playing the guitar and singing during my visit. I thought it was a karaoke bar and if there was going to be music, it would be happening a lot later. My friend ordered an espresso martini and then we headed to our next destination. We planned to come back last night for Halloween, but had to reschedule. I'm looking forward to trying out their food soon!

Gaslamplighter is honestly the spot. We've been going forever and somehow it just never gets old. We know everyone, we're probably there too much, but the vibes are always right. Whether we're screaming karaoke, dancing in the corner, or just catching up at the bar, it always hit. The staff feel like friends, the drinks are strong, and there's something about this place that just keeps pulling us back. If you know, you know. If you don't... you will.

Went here on a Friday night, it was pretty busy but entry was quick. They have Karaoke! It felt like you were in a past time elegant exclusive bar. Leah was our bartender and despite her being super busy she took the time to recommend drinks and engage. "Let's meet aT the lodge" is great for any bourbon lover and there's plenty of other options for other tastes. Can't wait to go back

The woman running this place is literally the sweetest, kindest, and most adorable person ever! I loved how clean the entire place was, especially the private rooms. Everything felt spacious, comfortable, and well-maintained. They use Korean karaoke remotes, which can be a little intimidating if you're not familiar with them, but she walks you through everything. A huge bonus was the visuals she had posted around the room and the pamphlet she gave you; they made everything super easy to figure out. The song selection is also VERY up to date with many options, old and new. There are different languages to choose from as well. They literally had Folded by Kehlani already... like, what?! I was impressed. The microphones sounded great and were very clean. I also appreciated that they provided mic covers; it was a nice touch. You can order food and drinks, too. The ramen station they have is so cute and honestly such a vibe. We booked one hour, shared a bottle of lychee soju, and I believe our total came out to around $50-$55. I can't remember the exact amount, but it was definitely in the $50 range, which is NOT bad at all.

We also had the spicy pickled fish which was also very good (just wish there was a little more fish). The beef noodle soup was also surprisingly good and had lots of noodles. The staff didn't have the most friendly expression, but they were helpful when we asked for anything. The ambiance/decor was trendy and the place was very clean. We struggled a bit with the screen, as it was in Chinese so navigating to songs/artists was a bit of a challenge. There were also limitations to the songs available. They call it " The Hole in the Wall" and I guess there's literally a hole in the wall aka a door, but the venue itself is more like an underground courtyard which makes me curious about what it was before. Right as you enter, you walk down a colorfully lit staircase onto the open air patio. There's usually a karaoke dj to your right and a good amount of people watching zones to choose. I haven't eaten anything here but there's usually an outdoor cook/snack compiler standing near the entrance to the bar. If you're from San Diego, you wouldn't list Point Loma on your itinerary for a queer night out yet The Hole in the Wall exists to surprise you and I love it. I've gone on empty nights and I've gone on packed nights. Both experiences are lovely. If you love a good string-lit outdoor patio and watching people have a fun night, this could be your place.

I was happy to hear they offered karaoke too so my friend & I put our name down for a duet (the iconic HSM, "Breaking Free"). Upon coming to the bar, there were a few other groups but it wasn't crowded yet. It was about 30 minutes later, and several more people had come to the bar now. My friend went up to ask the guy (leading the karaoke) a question. At this point he tells her: "well, I already played your chosen song an hour ago...and it's the same crowd, so...". There wasn't a conclusion if he was asking us to choose another song or if he was just giving his personal opinion. We also simply disagreed that it was the same crowd as an hour ago, and also I didn't realize there was a rule about playing the same song per hour? Given there wasn't a conclusion from the conversation, my friend & I decided to keep our chosen song since we were looking forward to singing it. 10 more minutes passed and we were next in line. My group came up to the stage to get ready for when we were called. But then, we were skipped! The audacity! Someone else from my group went up to address why we were skipped. He said "I just won't play that song!". Honestly I'm wondering if he just had a personal issue with that song lol. Like bro just play it for three minutes and make the customers happy? Since we were upset about his power trip, we took our buisness to Redwing. I am happy we made this move. I will say, the drink pitchers are worth the money & the bartender was nice. The cup pong was fun entertainment.
