The night was slow so we were seated right away. We asked how to use the system and remote and it was fairly simple to understand, and we were handed a songbook containing all the songs the system had to offer. And we stayed longer than had planned because we were having so much fun! Please come if you just feel like singing! And the prices!? They charge by the hour, so $85 for 3 hours for the 4 of us. The rates changed based on how many people are in a room. Worth Noting!! No hearty meals served. Only instant ramen so come after having lunch/dinner elsewhere before singing! Yay, got our Christmas karaoke on! Went Dec. 2025, rates for 2 people, no reservation was $25/hr. We decided to last minute add 30 more minutes which they allowed for $15 additional. We got a small room but big enough for us to get our sing on. Even with the door closed, you could still hear others singing, but when you start singing, you can't hear others anymore lol. We sounded pretty professional with their sound system lol. Honestly, I picked this spot on a Saturday night cuz of the name, and I thought of Jin From BTS hahah (army here!). It's quite outdated inside. Mostly wood paneling. The bathrooms were ok....not the best but does the job. It's cool you could bring your own food/drinks I believe, but no alcohol?? Might wanna double check that. Otherwise, we had fun! The numbering to enter the songs on the pad were fairly easy but we did have to ask the korean lady working there to disable the perfect scoring for the non-english songs since my friend wanted to sing Japanese and korean. At first, we couldn't sing those songs. Overall, I don't mind being back. But I might give Bobos a try too which is in the same strip mall. Fun, fun fun! It was my first time, officially, at a Korean karaoke and I loved it. Went once in my 20s in NYC but they were closing so we didn't stay. This time I enjoyed this one so much that I extended for an extra hour. The representative showed us how to use the remote. Once we got the hang of it we were singing as many songs as we could. It was like our own personal concert. Lots of popular songs, songs in English, Korean, Chinese (Mandarin, I believe), Japanese and Tagalog! They even had mic covers and cleaned the rooms in between each group of guests (immediately after each use). Food was available for purchase but was not a requirement. They also allow you to bring your own food. There were rooms based on party size and we had a microphone for each one of us. I had so, so, so much fun!!!! I can't wait to go back again. This place gets the job done when it comes to getting in your karaoke fix. In other words, Jin's is the spot to go after you and all of your friends are on a good one. This is a no-frills, kind-of-expensive ($220 for around an hour and a half of time in a room with 4-5 bottles of soju) and a of a bit dingy location that is meant to host (mostly drunk) people who want to sing their hearts out. They sell food akin to a high-school baseball snack shack (chips, little treats, etc.) The service is ok - I'm not expecting much when the staff are mostly dealing with intoxicated people. This place has gone really downhill. I've been coming here for over 20 years, and tonight I experienced overt racism by the person managing the front desk. They arbitrarily charged me for bringing outside drinks, which they have never done in the 20 years I've enjoyed Jin. Previously their staff was very kind and friendly. Today, I was informed of a "10-30" dollar charge and arbitrarily charged a full 30 for bringing in drinks. They also wouldn't let us extend times even though there was no group waiting. I'm truly disappointed - this has been the go-to place for my buddies, out of town guests, kumdo/kendo friends, and business folks visiting from Japan and Korea for years. The manager was downright rude tonight, and treated me differently clearly because of race based on his demeanor and what he said (I understand quite a bit of Korean). They are open late into the night, they have parking, the prices aren't crazy for larger groups, and the music selection is decent. They use TJ karaoke machines which have Korean remotes, and these devices are common in many karaoke places in Asia as well. This place is BYOB and the interior is pretty average in terms of cleanliness, location, etc. The bathrooms exist and aren't the dirtiest, but aren't the cleanest either. Same goes for the karaoke rooms, which consist of the standard table surrounded by some couches that aren't exactly comfortable - if you're looking for the best possible experience, this isn't the place to go. But it definitely is if you're looking for "good enough" - it's got a decent selection of music, too, unlike many American karaoke places like Round1. read more

We actually were surprised that there were plenty of Tagalog songs that we knew too. Flipping through the song catalog, I saw they had a number of other languages too. Either eat before or after, cuz the place has slim pickings on food and drinks. They had soju but it was pretty sweet, but it worked. This is my favorite karaoke place in San Diego! It's especially good for large groups, and has been so much fun every time I've gone. The big rooms at Jin are large and seat around 20 people. I went with a group of 17 once and we easily fit. When I came with a smaller group, there were no small rooms open so we were given a large room for the price of a small one! The remote is a little hard to use, especially if you don't speak Korean. It took a bit of practice for my group to figure it out, but once we did, selecting songs was easy. Jin also provides a book of songs in multiple languages, but most of the English songs were old. If you want newer songs, you'll have to search using the remote rather than looking up the numbers of songs in the book. There's actually a much larger selection of songs than those that are listed in the book!! Jin is a little old, but I've never had a problem with the equipment (other than the initial confusion of figuring out the remote). Everything ran smoothly, and karaoke here was super fun! One of the best parts about Jin is the price: it's so cheap during happy hour. I've never paid more than $8 for karaoke here after splitting the price with a group. Overall, I would highly recommend Jin if you're looking for a fun, cheap late night activity! I've thoroughly enjoyed karaoke here every time I've gone. read more

This is our go-to spot! The staff have always been amazing and accommodating and we get to bring our own food and drink which makes having parties here easy. We usually do a minimum of 5 hours and for a group of 6 it comes down to $25 a person which is such a good price for karaoke. They have a huge book of selections from English songs to even songs in Tagalog to Korean so far from what we have searched. Went for my bachelorette weekend! Saturday (09/02). I've been wanting to go to a karaoke place for the longest and the day finally came! I did call to make a reservation. I know you may not need a reservation but I did just in case. My friends and I at first couldn't seem to work the remote but then realized that there's a poster that explains it in English. We did have to ask the lady to help us which she did. They had a ton of songs to choose from a binder. We sang to Joni, Black Eyed Peas, to Abba & Juanes! The Spanish selection wasn't big which was a bummer but we had a blast. The price was $37 in total for five people! You can order food and soju there! I have experienced some of the most horrifying and downright disrespectful service and treatment I have ever seen, here the one and only time I will go here. First off, when requesting a kareoke room, there is no formal menu/price list, just some shady negotiation with some guy that wasn't even there to greet us when we arrived. Next, after getting the room, we requested some paper towels to wipe up some spilled water on the floor. But, instead of giving me some paper towels or offering to help clean it up, we were actually going to be charged a "cleaning fee", and I proceeded to watch as the "employee" I talked to and 5 other people he walked from a back room with all file into our room and kick us out of the establishment. I have never in my life experienced such bizarre and honestly very disrespectful treatment of me and my friends in any establishment, here or abroad. I hesitate to say it came down to anything racial but I know what other people have said about this place, online and in person, and let's just leave it at that me and my friends were not Korean. I did notice a sign that they will charge you if you bring outside food. You will need to ask how to use the karaoke remote, as it is in Korean. It took a while to get a hang of it. They only thing I would say about the rooms itself is I don't think they are cleaned well. Horrible horrible customer service. Bad hearts and really rude. I arrived a bit early (15mins) before my reservation. Their website and door say they open at 6pm, I got shouted at that they don't open till 7pm. I asked if it was ok if I setup just 15mins early with our bday decor and cake. The man there (old dude and possibly the owner) aggressively told me that he would charge me an extra hour if I setup, I explained I wouldn't be touching equipment or singing yet as we just need 10-15 to setup and he barked at me to pay and extra hour or wait. This place was recommend to me by a friend and so we all decided to go check them out! We were able to place our name on their waitlist and was checked-in relatively on time. You can bring your own food and drinks, which is great because you can just get something to-go near by and start as soon as they open. They also serve soju and beer on the premises but with limited selection. Speaking of limited selection, their machine is not the most up-to-date though you will still find some new songs from today's artists as well as older songs for your throwback needs! Bonus points for having the scoring system work but negative points for not having stronger backing/guide vocals. So if you hate hearing yourself sing, you can just turn down your mic but you'll only hear the sad karaoke instrumental playing. It's fun but it's kinda gross. There is no ventilation in the private karaoke rooms, so after awhile, it smells like the ball pit at Chuck E Cheese. And then it only gets worse. The food is okay, there are a ton of song choices. The versions of the songs they have though are a bit off bc they download different versions of them. So the beat is off by a fraction and it will throw off your final score. They have drinks and food but the prices are kinda high, but you are allowed to bring in your own food and drinks. But careful with the liquids, the bathroom situation is not something you want to visit every half hour. read more
