Unfriendly and Hostile Behavior When we ordered drinks, the female server practically threw the beer mat onto our table, displaying an outright lack of courtesy. (1. The server sarcastically remarked, "Thanks to the energy of the table..." or in German, "Die Energie des Tisches..."--a completely unnecessary and rude comment when we were simply sitting quietly and waiting. She used two beer mats to carry our used napkins into the tray, as though we were disgusting or unworthy of respect (see below illustration).
