I live in downtown Edmonds and these folks were covered by Molina so I crossed my fingers. Before the colonoscopy, Andrew was lovely over the phone. They recommended I use Suflave over Gavilyte even though it cost $50 and yes indeed it was an easier prep. Upon arrival at the office, I requested that the check-in person Kateri double check that I was both covered by my insurance and they'd received my referral and she graciously confirmed. The nurse who did my IV, Puja, did a skilled job and was friendly. Ian, my anesthesiologist, patiently answered questions and explained propofol. Dr Sooklal, was also approachable, yet professional. And finally my nurse, Maryann was so kind as I was taking my time getting ready and she went over my results thoroughly. I felt very cared for and 12 hours later I am just fine. They are a great team and worked well together, and I would definitely recommend them for this procedure! read more

You're a number here, go somewhere else. Things started great at the appointment. Once I had questions and called nobody knew anything or it was a hassle to get questions answered. From start to finish it's seems like people didn't know anything. They weren't sure if my insurance would cover it but then wanted me to sign something saying I was liable for the remaining bill on the day I was supposed to get a colonoscopy. Just had a colonoscopy done here. It was one of the friendliest doctors offices I have ever been to. Everyone was very nice from the receptionist, the rn, and the anesthesiologist. They were very skilled at putting me at ease. When I first met Dr Senusi, I almost became alarmed a bit because he was so personable. Overall the visit and procedure went very well. So well in fact that I was chomping at the bit to do s Yelp review. I was a bit surprised at the relatively poor rating. Each reader should make up their own mind but I have to think that the less favorable reviews of this office tend to say more about the reviewer than the office. I've called back twice and been told both times my referral hasn't been processed yet and it's now June 7th. she said it might take a few days. In the meantime I'm having a diverticulitis flare and subsisting on liquids. My GP finally told me if I couldn't get appointment just go to Urgent Care!!!! read more

Another great experience with PSG and Dr. Debley. Thank you for the speedy and event-free in-and-out (pun intended lolz) Though I will say, please inform your front office staff that nowadays a lot of people don't carry insurance cards. They, like I, have apps for that. And from the app, I can text, email, or fax you a copy of the card. PSG doesn't seem to be setup to receive any of these methods. You have a patient portal, where I can send messages, but it doesn't permit attaching files. Please consider updating your technology. read more

Tried to go by the office to make the appointment and the office was closed but no sign on the door(it was 12:10pm) saying what the hours were. I have a disturbing update to my previous review and wish I could downgrade to a ZERO! After zero follow up and spending lots of cash on gluten free items my symptoms worsened to the point of going to the ER, unfortunately. I followed up with a "real GI specialist" who confirmed by my previous lab results that I do NOT have Celiac disease. The definitive blood test for CELIAC was NEGATIVE while the other tests with high markers showed autoimmunity which of course I have several autoimmune diseases. I am scheduled for an immediate upper and lower scope with biopsies to find out what is going on. The Dr. did not say, " see you in SIX months"...and now I know I do not have Celiac!!! After reading some reviews, I wish I would have done this before I started the nightmare I'm going through now! Dealing with a billing (Gastro Health Edmonds billed my insurance wrong for recent colonoscopy) issue that has taken more hours of my time then I care to admit! I have an appeal going on with Regence and even they are dumbfounded as to how Gastro Health has handled this. I've called Gastro Health billing numerous times and each time a representative tells me something different (I am honestly not sure they even got trained). I have escalated this issue and filed formal complaints. But, if this is how they handle customer service and billing then I can only imagine how they handle health care! Steer clear if you want to avoid huge unnecessary bills and certainly if you want to get top notch health care - there are SO many other options in the Seattle area. read more

Rudest receptionist I have ever dealt with and I have unfortunately been exposed to many while trying to access care for my special needs son. Once they found out he was nonverbal they actively discouraged me from trying to make an appointment and when I finally did get an appointment on Friday they call at the crack of dawn on Monday morning with some excuse about his insurance which was completely incorrect. I highly suspect this is all based on not wanting to see a special-needs person. They also told me Dr. Schnider was really old and terrified of Covid and doesn't like to see patients in person, even though I assured her we were both vaccinated and wore masks and have no reason to suspect we have Covid. I would rather go to the Everett Clinic than take my child here and that's saying a lot. Also the receptionist kept repeating the fact that Covid can kill people which I believe has been well established and wasn't exactly news to me. Covid had nothing to do with our visit! If you can't or don't want to see patients with serious GI symptoms, then retire. Also refuses to take cash paying patients if they don't like our insurance. This refusal to see a disabled patient is probably a massive ADA and civil rights violation. I cannot imagine why they keep this receptionist there I see her name mentioned in complaints multiple times. The whole place seems sketchy - they can't say whether they are or are not on staff at Swedish. Website says the physicians are, the receptionist said they have absolutely nothing to do with Swedish other than being in one of their office buildings. Glad I found out how horrible they are before I took my son there, I would never let this guy touch him with a 10 foot pole. They also seem to operate under several different corporate names, never a good sign. read more

Unfortunately I didn't listen to my gut after reading the reviews of this place and proceeded to make an appointment for a colonoscopy and endoscopy. When I arrived at 1:30pm for my 2pm procedure, after going through the unpleasant prep since 2pm the day before (and not eating since 7am the day before), they informed me I was not on the schedule. My appointment had been cancelled by one of their staff members because they stopped taking my insurance (Regence) a few weeks prior. The front desk staff said "oh shoot, did no one call you?" Another manager arrived to the desk and said "yea maybe check Swedish down the hall to see if they can get you in". No one called to let me know the appointment was cancelled or checked in to ask about my insurance coverage. No one told me to not do the prep. I'm not typically one to write a negative review, but it seems this is a common theme at this place. My care has been significantly compromised given it will be awhile before I can find childcare for my two young children and go through the prep again. DO NOT GO HERE!! read more

My family & I have gone here for years. In calling in for routine follow up exam with Dr debley i spoke with OLIVIA front desk. Clearly she disliked her job, was unfriendly, rushed me in the set up. As I asked for repeat explanation of online appointment with dr (she spoke SO fast unhappily) she scolded me for bothering her in details of email/instructions, argued with me, zero manners. When I asked for another rep or supervisor (for simple solution) she said "I am only one here!" And then hung up on me. WEIRD & she lied, was not Only one on duty. In 5 attempts to call through for a solution with a supervisor or another rep she blocked my calls, spoke to me saying I was harassing her. ManiPulative, abusive. Finally, I got supervisor & she didn't even care. I Explained I would not be returning to dr or this facility nor would my other family members. She said "ok" I am saddened that in this challenging time with PLENTY of qualified, kind unemployed folks out there, this facility employs an angry miserable person such as Olivia to represent them. Dr. Guo was excellent, my colonoscopy went off without a hitch, check in was breeze. But best of all, for those on high deductible plans, the billable price is half that of Swedish. (The allowable depends on your insurance.) I came here because the Swedish gastro doc didn't impress me and I'm glad I did. read more

After a horrible experience I had I get on yelp only to find that others have had the exact same thing happen to them. As far as the procedure goes the team seemed nice, theres a weird dynamic as to holding area for people waiting to go in, watching the prior person being wheeling out etc. doesn't seem like there is enough space for everything or any real privacy. Mostly I want to mention that after the procedure the outpatient nurse/med. assistant? gave me juice and a granola bar. Being half drugged still I ate it no questions asked. I can tell you after not eating anything for so long this is such a bad idea especially since the drugs they give you for the procedure will make you nauseous for a good amount of time especially after movement. After walking to the car and getting in the car I had to immediately get out and throw up right on the pavement. Not fun. Now onto billing. Set up a payment plan the receptionist said, its super easy she said, the due dates are very flexible she said. I remember her vividly saying that if you miss the due dates at the end of the month its not a big deal just make the payment. Well I am on my second issue with billing. The first time saying no payment was made, which is weird because I made it online. Now I received a lovely call two months later from a collection agency. They do not warn you, they do not call you they just send it off to collections. They have no way of setting up payments online either. They are out to make money and sell bills to collection agencies. Avoid this place, I will drive as far as I have to to never go here again. read more

I went in for a colonoscopy at the referral of my GP to rule out some of the more scary GI issues. My GP recommended Puget Sound Gastroenterology, and I was very pleased with the level of care and concern that I received. You'll definitely want to check with your health care provider before visiting - I'm not sure why people complain about that if they didn't do their due diligence. The people I worked with both in my initial consult and the procedure were professional, attentive, and were willing to answer my questions. I appreciate how my doctor has even called to check in on me and to answer more of my questions that I had post-exam. The next time I need to get a colonoscopy, I won't hesitate to visit them and would highly recommend them to any of my friends or family. read more

I went in for a first time visit/consultation for a persistent upset stomach. The visit lasted 15 minutes and I was told they couldn't recommend anything until I had a colonoscopy. The bill for this was $520. I have insurance which covered 60% of it, but the take away for me is to call around and ask what a consultation costs. There must be other providers that aren't charging $2080/hour for a consultation. read more

At first i had no problems with this office. The DR was kind and made the office visits and colonoscopy go smoothly. But my last visit on 6/6/16 was bad. First i had to wait a long time in the waiting room. When i asked about it, they tell me i lied about my time and was early, besides having a card from them and a phone call confirming the time i showed up. They made me re fill out the new patient forms even though i had been a patient for 2 years already. Then i wasnt seen by the DR, which i did know, but the nurse who saw me seemed to have no knowledge on my case, asking questions that were irrelevant. I was there for a medicine visit so they would re-up my prescription. I told her what i had was working but she kept trying to tell me i was wrong and i needed something different. Fast forward to this year. After scheduling my appt for September, i called the office to ask if my new insurance was covered. They told me no. Fine, thats no problem. I cancelled my appt. But then they send a certifed mail letter telling me i shouldnt have missed my appt and i am making a big mistake in my care. My care is my issue. They are rude, pushy, and harrassing. Recently my wife went to the PSG in Edmonds for Upper GI endoscopy and colonoscopy. I was shocked when I saw the bill that they had charged our Insurance a total of over $4000 for procedures that took about a half hour. Mind you, this is not even a surgery. Even though my insurance paid a portion of the total, I ended up paying for a substantial amount which I was not expecting for this SINGLE visit. Interestingly enough, they did not tell us up front prior to the appointment that there will be 3 or 4 separate charges, not one. This include New Patient Charge, The Doctor's fee, the Facility fee and pathology fee. The estimation they had given to me was far less than the actual bill. I would suggest that if you really have no other alternative but need to visit these folks in Edmonds, get a CLEAR idea as to what it will cost you. Otherwise bear in mind that there are many other places in the area you can go to for such procedures. I don't think we will be going back to PSG Edmonds again. On a side note I went to see one of their doctors several years ago, a Chinese doctor with a short name (cant remember the name) due to heart burn or acidity issues. Just because I decided not to undergo the GI procedures as he had recommended, I got a letter from him a few weeks or months later in which he literally said that if I did not undergo this procedure, I may DIE! Yes, he actually used the word "die". Well I just wanted to let him know that by the grace of God, I am still alive and well. Good Luck! read more

Removed Content: Went to the one in Edmonds for a side pain i was having. Signed documents to pay cash since my insurance didn't cover the procedure. The documents agreed for $2K with certain amount of tests and the procedure it self. I got a month later 2 more bills with a total of $2K more that was never discussed or agreed upon. They sent labs somewhere in seattle for extra tests that were not discussed and the lab sent me to collections, making me responsible for the Doctors bills, even though i never agreed or signed documents agreeing to this. I have now 2 separate collections agencies, trying to collect from me for something i had paid for. When we called the place (Puget sounds gastro) all they said was sorry, admitted they screwed me up by not disclosing the extra charges and still till this day they haven't dropped the collections agencies or call them off. Went in for a colonoscopy my intake nurse Michele answered all questions prior to do day of with lots of patience. My day of nurse Karen was gentle with the IV and patient with my nervousness. I was relaxed and alert for the procedure my first time with Dr. Schneider. My outtake was great as well. read more

Having an EGD here was the absolute worst customer/patient care. The nursing/medical assistant staff was the worst. Nurse was told to allow me as the patient's wife back in the recovery room to obtain post-op info. They were all very secretive about me/wife going back after the procedure for support as well as getting info since the patient is given Versed, which is an amnesiac...meaning the patient will NOT remember what he was told after the procedure for a bit of time. My husband is diabetic and metabolizes meds very strongly. I went up to desk and asked the receptionist for an update as to when he might be in recovery and no answer and said someone would notify me. Then after some time, my husband was brought to the exit door - all loopy and goofy and clearly dazed. I was furious. They said I did not need to be back there. What idiots to think you can give someone an amnesiac med and then tell them important info to remember without them being able to ask legit questions. The MA was a controlling nasty insensitive person who should not be in that job. The doctor got quite an earful and he had no idea that was taking place by his staff plus he had to explain everything over again to us on the phone in which we asked questions. I had a colonoscopy here in February 2014 and they found nothing (yay!). But, I was stuck with a $1,300 bill after insurance paid their share. I couldn't afford to pay this in full so I set up a payment plan. I missed a payment toward the end of my payment plan (about $200 left) and they sent me to collections without informing me before hand. They made zero effort to work with me on payments -- they only set up a plan after I made it clear that I flat out could not pay $1,300 at once, and then sent it to collections without informing me.
