Wonderful experience. Would definitely recommend......but The only reason I give this one star is due to one person, Misty who is in charge of FMLA paperwork. This particular FMLA that my employer required was not something she was familiar with. The form was filled out incorrectly multiple times. Multiple messages, calls and emails were left to no avail. Finally reached her colleague, who then filled it out by herself within 2 hours, because she left early. Must recently I asked for a return to work form. Misty once again did not respond to multiple emails. One box needed to be marked that I have no restrictions and can return with a date became another mountain. Like before she never once called me back and after multiple calls had to explain to her coworker that by not filling out this paperwork, I could lose my job. The one and only email she finally replies, with we will not extend your leave. I never asked her to extend my time off. Again multiple calls, to wherein which her colleague said, she may or may not get back to you right away but we'll backlog the date and make sure it's done. In the end she submitted a fax with incorrect info and incorrect location. The experience was wonderful but turned sour due to the inability to fill 2 pieces of paper. Emergency surgery is not easy and to almost beg for a correctly filled paper is extremely exhausting. I won't be asking again as it appears it won't ever be filled out correctly. My experience was like a lavishly decorated cupcake with a little poop on top.

Luckily, you will find both at Naab Road Surgical Center. I was not a patient at the surgical center, just a loved one in the waiting room. But from my perspective, this place runs like a well-oiled machine. I thought we would be in there for at least three hours, but we were out in 2 hours, and I didn't feel like they rushed anything -- they just knew what they were doing. From a patient's perspective: The nurses and doctors all took the time to explain the procedure, made sure to answer questions, and made sure you're comfortable. You get warm blankets, too. That's a nice touch. Everyone we encountered was friendly and professional. You could tell that they had everything under control, which puts a person's mind at ease. As for the waiting room: It's a little boring, so be sure to bring reading material or your laptop or what have you. They have free wifi, but you need to ask the person at the front desk for the password. There's free coffee, tea and hot chocolate, and there's a vending machine with snacks and beverages. There's also a water fountain with a water-bottle refilling station. There's one big TV, but it was on a weather channel. I brought my laptop with me to work while I waited, but we were in and out so quickly that I didn't have much time to get anything done! I like a medical facility that is orderly and gets you in and out in a timely manner.

I'm not being dramatic, not once in eight months have I been able to get anyone on the phone. They advise to book within the portal. ANYTIME I submit a request, it's a delayed response. 8 days ago, I called, no answer. Sent a portal message explaining it was an urgent medical matter that I felt she needed seen for that day. The contacted me back today, 8 days later. I 10/10 do not recommend. If you prefer a more holistic approach with peds that don't push vaccinations, there are other much better offices than this.

The office itself is well run and she shares it with other very good Doctors and Nurse Practitioners (I know, because I have seen them as well when she was not available for an appointment); but usually her schedule is accommodating (so, I prefer to see her). Dr. Melloh's staff is great and returns questions within a fair amount of time, and prescription refill requests within 24 hours if it's not scheduled; and the Doctor on call has always dealt with my issues promptly and professionally. Now, that is all the great stuff the Doc has going for her office-wise, as for the good MD herself, she listens intently; she is profoundly willing to work with you (not work ON you, like you're a car needing a tune-up); and, and she cares. You can tell by the way she tries to fix patients like me with ailments that are chronic. She hasn't given up on me and I'm kind of a pain in the yoo-hoo. Aside from the case manager treating me bad I called to confirm my mother's must make appointment and someone answered. I expressed my concern and was put on hold. I wasn't put on hold and I hear EVERYTHING the nurse or whomever say terrible things about me and she figured out that the phone was not on the hanger yet she hung up without acknowledging I heard every word and just hung up. I called back and there was no answer. The care. I'll give a 5 just because my mother has been treated right. But as far as giving information and being polite to family members whom has loved 1s in the facility and showing respect. Just from my experience. They get a ZERO in my book. We checked in at registration and were then escorted upstairs. All of the staff and nurses introduced themselves and explained each step of the day and what would happen next so we were always prepared. The whole experience was very efficient. The surgery lasted only 15 or so minutes and we were out the door a few minutes later. On the second floor, there is complimentary coffee, tea, and hot chocolate for those who accompany patients. There is also a TV on the second level. The third level waiting area is a little quieter. The lobby has an atrium in the middle that is open to all floors so you can hear all the noise happening across all 3 levels. There is a cafe on the 2nd floor as well, but the hours are only 9:30am-1:30pm Monday-Friday. Looks like they have soups, sandwiches, bagels, etc. as well as canned, bottled, and fountain drinks. The only negative was I noticed the "patient visitor representative" was just sitting at the desk watching videos on his phone. That is a pet peeve of mine, at least pretend to work while you're at work. There was a lot of signage around so everyone should be able to navigate around anyway.

I think the challenge is that they are so busy I don't think you can get in very easily as a new patient. I also like the only health portal which is tied int Community Hospital. The facility is pretty good and easily accessible to the side of the community hospital property. Yes it's expensive but so is getting a new strut on my car. Healthcare is important and given the amount of overhead and regulations and other things I don't think my visits are out of line with the general medical industry here.

I have mixed feelings about Northpoint. I have struggled with the way we have been treated by our…read moreselected pediatrician. She is nice, and she knows what she's doing, but I do not feel she has made my children priority. I have a few examples, one is she saw them for a well child while also being sick, I watched her walk out and go home for the day after our appointment. I don't feel my kids were given a fair appointment. Most recently I asked for an evaluation to be done on one of my kids and also asked for another child to be seen based on her Nero referring us back. I asked for both of these on the same day in May. I was contacted, given an appointment for my daughter, with only options on Thursday's, and told I would receive a separate call for my sons appointment. It's Aug 22nd and had no appointment for my son until complaining. Since though, I've received a letter that my doctor is retiring, she'll continue to see us through the end of the year (on a limited schedule - I'm adding the sarcastic remark), and my kids will be transitioned to other doctors based on gender. I just feel things could be handled better! My responsibility is that I could have followed up more, I will admit I had a part here too. Have I had billing issues, yes! I encourage everyone to review your EOBs! The person coding has no idea what happened in that room and is tasked with finding a way to get as many billable codes submitted as possible. Our responsibility is to review and bring up discrepancies. You may disagree, but this is where we are in the world! Northpoint is no different than most other facilities. Patient responsibility in managing our share is part of it. There have been great things happen with Northpoint and that is why I give them 3 stars. My son was seen by a male dr who got him into a great pulmonologist, who helped us solve so many undiagnosed issues! Both of my daughters ear issues, including multiple sets of tubes have been handled well. They room us fast, the MAs are always kind and I felt they addressed COVID well. The ability to have weekend appointments has been very helpful, I used this option more when my kids were younger. Northpoint is a larger practice and has the feel of the large practice without the technology. By that I mean, no ability to have full connection to Community My Chart and the options on their online portal is clunky. The proximity to Community Hospital and the fact the drs round at Community is a perk! Overall, we know that we will get the care we need at Northpoint, and that is what is most important.

I immediately decided he was who my son would see. Once my son was born, Dr. Nanagas came to check on him and ask a few questions. You can tell he is just naturally great with children-it's definitely his passion. Every encounter we have had with him makes it even more obvious as to how much he loves his work. He's so great with my son, always has great insight, and is just an all around breath of fresh air. I highly recommend this practice, and, if you can get Dr. Nanagas as your child's pediatrician, you'll have an all-around exceptional experience!
