Every neighbor that walked by commented on how lovely the new fence looked. His estimate was spot on and he made us aware of any concerns he had along the way. For example the gate screws were not the correct kind or placed correctly and he changed them so the gate is now very secure. He was willing to seal the fence so it doesn't warp in the sun and heat. His estimate came in much lower than any of the other estimates we received and his work was stellar.

I incorrectly assumed the hourly rate would fall within the parameters of a reasonable rate for an unlicensed handyman. Our bill for 15 hours of work was nearly $2,000 (minus some materials and small trailer rental) with a fixed hourly rate of $130 per hour. Although I appreciate George helping us out with our list of miscellaneous handyman items, we would not have proceeded with the work had we known that the hourly rate was so high.

One of the few contractors during a Paradise rebuild that WAS on time and on budget and knew how to return a phone call! Fence and gates are solid and straight as an arrow even with all the underground boulders they had to deal with. I like the metal posts-they should last forever, and changing any wood in the future should be a snap. For backyard access for the landscaping crew, sections can come off in 15 minutes.
