My vehicle, which is new to me, for less than a year, has been in and out of your shop for months now, and I am extremely frustrated. I've been repeatedly assured that it was fixed, only to discover loose zip ties holding hoses together in my driveway last night. This is not the first time my car has leaked diesel all over my driveway. While I understand that staffing issues and mistakes can occur, the level of service I've received is unacceptable. My vehicle has undergone several major services intended to maintain its longevity, yet it has sustained damage in the process. Additionally, my shift cable remains unreplaced by Bavarian, and the fluid leaks persist! This ongoing situation has been nothing short of a headache. Gateway Autohaus is not a trust worth business. They diagnosed and "fixed" an issue with my car. Two weeks later the exact problem returned and they refused to fix the problem that they had already "repaired" without charging me more. I highly recommend taking this business to small claims court if they do this to you. I will be getting a lawyer soon. read more

I asked Bavarian to diagnose a loose steering condition on my 1986 Mercedes 560SL. We are a year later...and they still have the car. It isn't completed, and the communication has been atrocious. The car needed a new steering coupler - and we've had excuses ranging from a failure to pick up the part (oops) to a gasket missing, to construction, to "it will be ready in a week" -- and that was a month ago. Each time I've had to call, I am promised a callback, but there is no callback. I had to drive over there, walk in, and request an update. This is a 40-year-old classic car that sat outside all winter. I'm beyond frustrated - and I own a BMW and 9 Mercedes - ranging from a 79 300D to a modern S550. read more

I always get nervous when anyone but myself works on my vehicles, but I really didn't want to do the timing belt/water pump job on my 2011 VW Golf TDI. I found Bavarian Autohaus, and conveniently they are very close to where I live. Read the reviews and was seeing good in the past, then even better since the new ownership, so I took my car here to have this job done. They got the job done quickly, in 1 day, and even gave me a ride home and picked me up the following morning to get my car, which was greatly appreciated. Everyone I talked to and dealt with over there was friendly and helpful, and the job seems to have been done well. And I swear, my car is also cleaner than when I dropped it off, which was also appreciated, since it needed it haha! I haven't had any issues so far, and no codes have popped up, and I feel confident that the job was done properly, and by experienced hands. They also checked the car over and advised me of a couple things that will need to be done soon, which I wasn't expecting them to do, but was another sign of the quality service they are providing. Awful service. Does not return phone calls. Said they were ordering parts to fix the problem. They said the parts were hard to get. They never did . My car sat there for 4 days. Nothing happening so I picked it up. Been months now and still no return call after I called them several times to see if they got the parts in. Such a waste of my time! I had taken my 2017 XC 60 Volvo , ( check engine light on ) with 50k miles ,thinking that they were knowledgeable in the workings. They didn't give me any reason to not think this. I received a $1,000.00 bill, and my vehicle in the original state I brought it in , the check engine light was still on , ( almost 3 weeks in the lot at bavarianautohaus) After numerous calls not answered, daily visits with no updates ) I took my Volvo to the dealership for even more money to be paid , Repaired in 3 days at Sandberg Volvo . I would say ask more questions and listen to your gut on this one. I wish I did. Expensive lesson learned. Since changing owners I've had nothing but poor experiences with Bavarian Autohaus. I wanted to give the new owner the benefit of the doubt and chalked the first few bad experiences up to growing pains. They do not return phone calls (four times before I finally walked in to book). Last oil change I asked them to check my brakes for squealing (had them all replaced by Bavarian Autohaus about 6 months ago) and to see why my driver door hatchback button was not working. The guy at the counter said he would put it on the order, but when I got the invoice there was no mention of this. I asked to speak to the auto tech and he was not aware of my request. They do not call you to tell you that your car is ready or what services they have done. I've had to call before close every time to make sure my car is ready. My husband also brings his car here and is equally as frustrated. The communication and customer service is atrocious. They should have much better customer service for the higher prices they charge. read more

I took a pre-owned car in for an inspection before buying it and these guys did an awesome job. The inspection took over an hour, they were very thorough and the mechanic sat down with me and explained in layman terms what needed to be done, and exactly how much each service would cost. Nancy in the office is very knowledgeable and kind. I chose Bavarian Autohaus as my mechanic based on my experience with the used car inspection. While I was waiting for my car I asked six people who walked in the door about their service, all raves and said the mechanics were honest and hard working with lots of experience. read more

I have found my new mechanic!!! After Blade Chevrolet punted (but after charging me $1,500 for things that didn't even pertain to the problem AND telling me I needed to have Bavarian look at it, since it's a MiniCooper and Blade couldn't diagnose the issue....?) Bavarian Autohaus not only diagnosed it but fixed it for FAR cheaper than Blade did AND they did it faster. They were courteous and always ran things by me before doing anything additional (even an oil change, which it needed, but they called and asked first). They realized it was a fuel pump issue - which Blade Chevrolet should have found - but also that my brakes were completely fried. My lovely MiniCooper runs better than she ever has and I find myself finding reasons to go driving just to get the happy feeling back. These guys are first rate and first class. By pass the other over-charging BS people and go straight here. They won't mess around. They won't overcharge. They will take care of your car and your peace of mind. read more

We have been bringing our Rialta Motorhome here for six years. When we bought the rv it had sat for awhile so we had to change all the belts. Although some think that Bavarian Autohaus is expensive, it's what you pay for a european vehicle. Our rv is based on a eurovan. Later our a.c. went out and that was costy to repair. It went out again over a year later and they warranteed it even after they had to. Mark the owner said he thought it should last longer than that and didn't charge us. Couldn't figure out what was wrong with my car told me I needed a new engine and they would charge 13 grand for a new one. After being a loyal customer of Bavarian Autohaus (BA) for over 30 years, I will no longer go here for they've really gone downhill. The last two times I took my car in for repairs, I had to return it both times (with more than one trip) for them to get each problem rectified. The third and last time was when my car broke down on I-5. It then sat for over 3 months in their yard and I didn't hear a word. When I called they said that they didn't know what was wrong with it! I finally personally towed it to a nearby garage where they found the problem in minutes and fixed it in good time. They discovered it was a broken timing belt and the idler pulley was loose. The bolt holding the pulley was not tightened by BA and that broke the belt that they had replaced less than a year earlier. Three other bolts were also left missing on the housing. They let their repair warranty run out while my car sat in their yard. I couldn't believe BA would do this. Be forewarned! read more

Worst Shop I have ever encountered . I supplied all parts and they took 8 months to repair the Air Conditioning . I asked them to please cover the car so the paint would not burn . I went by there over the week ends. In a field adjacent to where they parked the cars . From about 40 yards away , I could see the car did not have my supplied.car cover . I got my car back , over a half a year later . The sun completely burned through the hood paint paint . The paint there was already thin . Which is why I supplied the cover . During the course of my repair , they went through 3 service managers . Let me put this delicately , I would even let these guys clean my toilet . Over priced and slow bad service . Excellent and professional service. My wife, as she was leaving town, discovered her right headlight was out. She needed a complicated bulb replacement in her car that required the fender to be removed. Bavarian took her in immediately and the charge was cheaper than the dealer who said we had to wait 2 days. My vehicle needed some repairs as the original dealer maintenance department had cheated me a number of times. I decided to take it in. A complicated diagnostic and fix was needed for the rear suspension. They stuck with me and repaired it. They are hands down better than any dealer. Poor service. Horrible quality of work. Mechanics are poorly trained and are incompetent in their craftsmanship. Car was never properly put back together when received. Mechanic billed me for many more labor hours than was actually necessary for the job. I priced around after and found that I got totally ript off. My car broke down near shop, so i had it towed there. Foolishly, I trusted a shop outside of my town. The manager is a clown and plays the "i'm an idiot game" to avoid refunding you money. So I took my 2003 BMW 330ci to Bavarian Autohaus to replace my radiator . I was quoted $600 and some change for parts and $300 and some change for labor. I just bought the car so was tapped for cash. So I bought the parts myself for half the price. I brought it to Bavarian and a couple hours later the super rude office gal (big girl with a mustache) called me and told me the radiator that I bought was defective and they broke the one that was in my car. I explained to her that that wasn't what i wanted to here and she said that was how she felt when I showed up that morning. I was shocked that she would even say something like that to a paying customer first off . And she also said that I get what I paid for on the radiator I purchased, Witch was the same one they would have gotten for me. I ended up buying another radiator and having to pay 2 more hours of labor to install it. I think they made it leak so I would have to buy one from them. long story short. If you want to be treated horrible by a lady that knows nothing about cars or customer service and pay double what everyone else charges go here! read more
