    Broken Suburban.....
    Kevin S.

Jason and the crew are the Best. I have had several things repaired at BOR. They put my Suburban back Right in No time. Thank You Jason.........

I was referred here from the mechanic shop on base after a pre-trip inspection found a noise coming from my transfer case so I had this shop try to diagnose the noise they said everything was fine with my Jeep except I had a sticky brake caliper that was warping my brake rotor and my front right u joint was bad so I made an appointment with them and then they tried charging me for entire brake assembly so I brought it back to the shop on base and they inspected everything again and said there was nothing wrong with what better off road said there was, be careful going here ! They tried taking advantage of me and charging 600$

I got the honor of meeting Jason when I picked up my car and the genuineness was felt with him as well.

In March 2023, I brought my Lexus RX 350 to this shop for a transmission fluid service. The…read moretechnician noted the presence of metal shavings in the pan on the invoice, and instead of following OEM specifications and using Toyota WS-compatible fluid, the shop installed Kendall VersaTrans CVT+. I later reviewed the product specifications and contacted Kendall's own technical support team directly. Their team confirmed that while VersaTrans CVT+ may be used where Toyota WS is specified, their *recommended* product for WS applications is Kendall VersaTrans LV ATF, not CVT+. Their data sheet confirms this. When I brought this to the shop's attention, attaching official data sheets, Kendall's response email, and compatibility concerns, they refused to acknowledge any wrongdoing. Their responses were consistently short, dismissive, and unprofessional. I received multiple replies with no greeting, no name, and no attempt to address the core issue. Instead of discussing solutions (which I offered several times, including a fluid replacement or partial refund), they repeatedly deflected and eventually stopped engaging altogether. Despite the shop stating in their own records that metal shavings were present, a clear indication of wear, they opted to use a non-recommended fluid. Over the next 2.5 years, the vehicle accumulated only ~9,200 miles, but the transmission continued to degrade, likely accelerated by the mismatch in fluid. This review is not based on emotion. I've provided documentation, OEM specifications, and direct confirmation from the fluid manufacturer. The shop's refusal to admit a mistake or even engage in a basic conversation about resolution speaks volumes about their customer service standards and technical judgment. I cannot recommend this shop to anyone seeking careful, OEM-spec service or professional accountability. If something goes wrong, don't expect them to help, or even call you by name.

I ask you....  What were they doing with my car for 3 workdays, and why did they not give me an option to have it back for the holiday weekend before their 3-day closure? Excuses of we are very busy, and we are having problems with the "WIFI" dropping our calls, just do not make for good customer confidence.
