So... My Jeep Grand Cherokee's water pump failed when I was up on the Samish overlook, and I spent hours getting back to a repair shop because I had to let the engine cool for 45 minutes after only running it for 5 minutes. Reading the reviews, I learned that people had great experiences at Jimenez in Burlington and decided to give them a shot as well. This turned out to be an awesome decision! It appears to be a Father-Son operation, but they really know their stuff, and are absolutely committed to their customers. They were there working on Saturday, and had my water pump replaced with fresh coolant and a new serpentine belt. Also, I knew about my rear brakes getting worn, but they let me know about that as well. These are good guys. They will make sure you are happy, and will not try to rip you off. read more

Their prices are always completely fair, they'll work around my schedule and they always deliver on time. I can't speak more highly of them or recommend them more. LIFESAVER- Literally! A few weeks ago, my daughter was driving up to Bellingham on a Friday afternoon, in her newly purchased used car. She was halfway there when she called me in a panic. The car was shaking tremendously, and making a horribly loud sound. (Of course she also noted that it had been doing this for a good portion of the drive already, but had gotten worse to the point that it was scaring her before she decided to call!). I told her to pull off at the next exit, which was in Burlington. As it was already 6:30 pm at this point, I started searching for auto repair places in the area that would be open on Saturdays, figuring I would have AAA tow her car there so it could be worked on in the morning. I came across good reviews of Jimenez auto repair, and they were just one exit down from where she had pulled off the freeway. They were open Saturdays, but I also noticed they were open till 7 pm on Fridays! It was 6:55 pm and I called the shop simply to inquire if they thought they'd be able to work on the car the next day. Hilario answered the phone, and when I told him what was going on, he suggested if she felt like she could drive it the couple of miles to the shop, he could look at it that night! I asked wasn't he closing in 5 mins? And he said he'd be there for at least another hour. So my daughter drove over to Jimenez Auto Repair, Hilario immediately stopped what he was doing to look at her vehicle. He took it for a test drive, and before she knew it, he had it up on the lift and was working on it. The diagnosis was loose lug nuts on one of the front wheels. My daughter asked him how much it cost, and he said nothing. She said, "no really, how much do I owe you?" And he replied again, "Nothing, it is ok, it was a simple fix." My daughter was so touched by his kindness she called me in tears, saying that for future repairs on her car, she wants to drive all the way up from Seattle, simply so she can give this good shop her business. I called the shop the next Monday, to find out who had helped her, and I was able to thank Hilario over the phone. I really couldn't thank him enough, as I can't imagine what would have happened if the wheel had fallen off while my daughter was cruising on the freeway. Thank you Hilario and Jimenez Auto Repair! I was fortunate to find Jimenez Auto Repair. It was a Friday about 5pm, it was gonna be until Monday for my car to be looked at. I had previously gotten a quote from a Dodge dealership on some electrical work that needed done, it would have been $600. When I called a spoke to Hilario, he had me bring my truck in after it wouldn't start, now it was the electrical issue and the battery. He got it up and running in no time plus did an oil and air filter change, all for under $600. I will definitely be going back and recommending friends and family!! read more

Hilario is a life-saver. After breaking down on the side of the freeway on a Friday evening during rush hour traffic we were worried that we would be stranded until shops opened up on Monday. The tow truck driver knew Jimenez Auto Repair was open on Saturday and had a good reputation so that's were he took us late Friday night. In the morning Hilario, the owner, sadly informed us that we would need a new transmission. We were able to leave the car with him for repairs while we continued on our trip to Canada with his assurance that the car would be ready to go by the time we came back on the following Saturday - even though it fell on Labor Day weekend. Hilario was able to find a transmission with a nation-wide warranty, get it installed, and have everything ready to when we rolled into town on Saturday morning. I had a big trip just a couple of days away, and my car started having troubles, I called around and got lots of 'we can see your car in a week' messages. I had an issue with my car not sure exactly what was wrong when I called them to ask about it I could bring it in They were more than kind asked me some questions to try to get some information on what might have been the problem. So I took the car in they checked it out discovered what the problems were and was able to fix and explain exactly What was wrong. This was my first time that I had taken my car to them and I was extremely pleased with how they took care of it But more important they were kind courteous and honest With what needed to be done to fix my car I highly recommend them if you need car repairs in the future. read more

I called Hilario after seeing a Mechanic in the Seattle area. My car needed it's timing belt replaced and I was quoted by Village Auto a $1,000 bill. Hilario quoted me a $550 bill, much more reasonable. I went to pick up my car and the bill was $100 less than what he quoted! Bottom line: he is reliable and honest. Our windshield wiper broke in the middle of a rainstorm while heading up North from Seattle. A google search in the area led us to Jimenez Auto Repair and we were fortunate that it did. The mechanics put on a pot of coffee and made room in the garage for us while we were on our way. They were ready to get to work as soon as we pulled up and had us back on the road in no time.
