Firmly a Michigan 5-star, 6/5 for UP food. Ordered a standard burger and a cowboy burger. The meat is from Scottish highland cattle. It's quite good. Most important for me is the meat was *fresh.* The bacon was well cooked on the cowboy burger. The burgers were large, smash burger style. The fries, well... they were sorta like steak fries but nearly as thin as a potato chip. Those were not 5 star. They were good. But the thin style made them cool down FAST, that or mine weren't quite fresh enough. But they were ok to serve. The ranch we ordered for the fries could be improved by not being a salad dressing ranch straight from the saladiest of ranch options. Homemade ranch please. Definitely recommend this place, will be back. Oh service was great and ambiance was that of a nice food truck with picnic tables. Soda/water/drinks came in a can from a cooler. read more

Great find while driving by. We had the Diesel Dog, The Cowboy, Onion Haystack, Belgian Fries, French Fries and Cole slaw. All were very very good. The Cole slaw was a little plain, but still good. He steered us to GCG and we are so grateful. I was literally moaning with each bite of the Highlander burger! The brisket and burger themselves were out of this world and paired with bacon jam and blue cheese sauce...just perfection. The whole burger melted in your mouth. GCG is a food truck with a convenient location downtown across the street from the bay. The guy taking orders was very friendly and helpful. There is a large area with plenty of picnic tables to enjoy your food fresh and hot. And you will enjoy your food. Our large group tried much of the menu. The Cherry Chicken wraps were excellent. The crunchwrap burger was very good but it was wrapped up to go and the steam created took away most of the crunch. The pulled pork sandwich was awesome even if it doesn't look like it in the pic. We also had the Mac and Belgian fries. You buy bottled water for a dollar or coke products from a vending machine for a couple bucks. Stopped by for a quick bite and because of the high ratings... Absolutely was not disappointed...5 stars!!!! I had the Blueberry Haystack and my son had the Classic... I would have never thought that real blueberries in a barbecue burger would work... but it absolutely did!!! Get ready for quick, delicious food! They have a variety of unique items, like a Blueberry Haystack burger, and you won't be disappointed. We split The Cowboy burger much to my bacon loving husbands delight. It was cooked perfectly and delicious! They use Scottish highland beef which my biased kilt approves. Parking wasn't hard to find as we went during a less busy time. There were some spots to eat but we took our food to a local park which was a short walk. FANTASTIC!!!!!! I have been in the Upper Peninsula for two weeks have had a a few strong meals. Then tried to go to Clyde's Drive-In, waited so long, looked this place up and it turned out to be the best meal I've had the entire trip. I didn't even choose what to eat, they described the crispy burger and said - you need to order this. So I did, it was fantastically put together, unique, fresh, incredibly well seasoned. I feel bad for all these people walking up and down the sidewalks who didn't know about it. They need to get their fannies over here. I ordered the Crunchwrap -- which is a twist on my Taco Bell fave and it's WAY BETTER THAN TBELL!! The poblano avocado sauce is creamy and has a little heat, delicious! The Belgian fries are fried in truffle oil and coated with parsley and Parmesan-- PHE-NOM-I-NAL! They're a little bit more than the usual fries. The regular fries are also delicious. The ranch is the good kind of ranch, so flavorful and fresh. Okay finally-- the onion petals. Daaaayum. A spin on onion rings! There are 10 picnic tables and benches for people to sit and eat on. So many choices in the area but the reviews drew us in and did not disappoint. Amazing service, fast cooked to order food and tasty! You must get the fries (normal style or Belgian both were fantastic) and the Carolina BBQ for dipping. The Crunchwrap burger is delicious and not too spicy. The cowboy burger was awesome as well and our daughter had the Cherry Chicken Wrap which for a burger place was a pleasant surprise. Very tasty as well. Highly recommend.
