They allow you to go and sit on the porch of the bed and breakfast near by to enjoy your meal and people watch. They are open for lunch, from 11 to 3 daily as long as the weather holds up. I ordered the beef brisket topped with their house made barbecue sauce and it was one of the best beef briskets I have ever had. The cole slaw was really good also. There are several buildings that can be explored. That includes some film explaining the fort. This historic British military fort is important high point in the island. Now it is important tourists attraction and historic center.

Its view over the harbor is impressive, and there is a restaurant where you can have lunch if you'd like. It is definitely worth a visit if you are anywhere near Mackinac Island.
