Best burgers ever! They use really delicious meat, no premade patties. Huge portions! Great milkshakes too. The staff was super nice and friendly. We ate inside with 2 kids at the counter. What a fun place. We are stopping back there on our way out of town.

Once again, Clyde's Drive-In for the win! It's typically a must stop, the service is always friendly and the burger is what keeps me coming back, and upgrading to deluxe and making it a basket is the only way to go in my humble opinion. And while I enjoy eating at in the "old school" drive-in bays, I typically will take my meal across the street and enjoy it while overlooking the mighty Mac!

Main menu- just about everything you could want. Even salads!

My sister found out about Clyde's from a MI FB group and said, "We have to check out this burger place, people were saying it's the best." I liked the old school burger hop feel of pulling up and the staff coming out to get your order and window tray delivery. The menu is on a main display (see photo) and you just wait for them to come out- no buzzer/ intercom like some places may have. There was a great variety of options for food and beverages but I had the Mushroom and Swiss burger with onion rings and vanilla malt. My sister had Double Cheeseburger with chili fries, pop. The portions were ample, especially the chili fries (we barely ate them after sharing my onion rings but took with us for later) Burgers hot and juicy, good melty cheese, buns held up to the task well. This definitely a great choice for a good meal, relaxation break from driving and enjoying the beach along M2. There was a small counter area inside (5-6 people?) plus a deck outside with picnic tables and plenty of parking spaces in the lot for carry out after you walked up to order. Car hop area had 7-8 spots right up front. But lots of people in and out, sitting on the deck and while staff were hustling to customers patiently waiting their turn for friendly service. And the wait was not bad, just when you were thinking, "I wonder if someone is..." there they were: taking your order, bringing your food/ tab or taking your tray. I believe there were restrooms inside but I didn't go in. Will definitely be back next time we're in St. Ignace!

The jalapeno poppers (cream cheese) was very good but took 45 minutes wait. Keep that in the mind. We had very good bison burger and absolutely perfect classic Bacon Lettuce Tomatoes sandwich! (I added extra bacon and was absolutely worth it!) and everything was cheap! Cute drive in place, perfect to park and eat in the car as the inside building just have a bar seatings. Very chilly inside and entertaining to watch cooks cooking great food!

Amazing burgers The Big C is one of the best Big burgers in Michigan. Super juicy flavorful burger nice malty cheese. It never disappoints. Classic drive in that's been doing it for years.

Great Bison Burger! I would say price wise get a regular cheese burger with all the fixins and skip the overpriced "Big C". The wait was 45 minutes, so call your order in ahead off time. That is one persons main job. I stood in line and watched them cook the burgers. Definitely made fresh. They forgot me for 10 minutes so I had to wait extra and my food was cold.

Everyone told us we had to try Clyde's! Boy oh boy were they right! It's a cash only establishment with fresh patty, burgers fresh fries, amazing staff and Old-school charm! The burgers are just to die for! So juicy and flavorful!! The next time we are up this way we will be sure to come back! I Cannot say enough good things about Clyde's!!

Big c from clydes drive in

Well been a long time since I've had me a big c from here 15 bucks and wasn't as good as I remember it was cooked dry and the bun wasn't toasted and must be really cheap cause it fell apart ended up just tossing half way through it was disappointing to say the least but chocolate shake was good but hard to mess that up

On our drive through the Upper Peninsula we were told we should stop at the highway drive in as it would be an incredible experience. The drive in was extremely efficient with someone coming out to take the order, offering bagging of the food or tray service. The area was very clean and well kept. The most important thing was the meal and the food was absolutely delicious. The burger was amazing one that you would travel a distance for and not mind the drive. Also the gravy for the fries and gravy was the best we have ever had anywhere. Highly recommend Clyde's.

Stopped in while exploring the Island. LOVED the ceiling!…read more I opted for the fish and chips which comes with a side of Cole slaw (vinegar based). I traveled to Scotland and London, and this fish and chips beat out what I had while there. I am not a huge fan of steak fries, but these lived up to my expectations and had enough crisp on some to make up for the softness I associate with this type of fry. The Cole slaw was enough to be a meal in itself. But the fish, were the star of my plate and the tartar sauce...I need this recipe or a bottle of the sauce. My travel mate opted for the Ruben sandwich. I tasted the corned beef, had a great flavor to it. There were no complaints from our table. She also got a coffee to go, asked for cream...came out with the cutest little cream pitcher. The cup is also biodegradable, which is great since it would end up in a recycle bin along the way. Great staff, clean, nice restrooms (two sets), and plenty of space to have a group come in for a sit down meal.

Ordered wings and an order of chips (fries). Both were excellent! Bartender offered us more blue cheese dressing without us asking. Small thing, but nice touch; her service was excellent. It's very "pubbish" and comfortable. Great vibe. If you go to the island, I highly recommend this place. The prices were actually less than I thought they would be...a big order of fries was five bucks. Beer on tap was eight bucks. After, go to Kilwins for a cone and sit on a hotel porch.
