The technician was nice and friendly. Results give alot of insight if you're looking to have a baseline on your health. Non invasive and so insightful. I know these have mixed reviews but I felt it was helpful to my fitness journey. Would recommend!

The technician became very upset and informed me that customers are not supposed to open the van door. My first concern is that this protocol is not communicated anywhere in the appointment process. I reviewed my confirmation email, appointment instructions, and other communications, and there is no instruction telling customers not to open the van door, to wait outside until called, or to look for any readiness indicator.  When I asked how I was supposed to know this procedure, I was told it was clearly stated in the appointment email. It is not. My second concern is how the interaction was handled. I was treated as though I had knowingly violated an established rule when, in reality, I was following the arrival process I had come to understand through years of experience as a BodySpec customer. I have completed numerous scans over approximately three years, and technicians often do not open the door at the appointment time, and I have never seen any signage/indicator in the van window depicting whether the van is ready for the next client.   As a result, knocking and then opening the door after receiving no response had become the only practical way to determine whether the appointment was ready to begin.  Put simply, it is not reasonable to hold customers accountable for violating a procedure that was never communicated and is inconsistent with the experience BodySpec has repeatedly created for returning customers. My third concern is the justification that was given. The technician explained that she was alone in the van and did not know who I was or what my intentions were.  While I understand the importance of employee safety, that concern does not justify blaming a legitimate customer for failing to follow an unpublished protocol.  More importantly, the reasoning itself is difficult to reconcile with the situation. If unauthorized entry is considered a genuine safety concern, the solution should be clear instructions, visible signage, and/or physical controls such as a locked door. i.e., An undocumented customer procedure does little to address someone with actual bad intentions, while creating unnecessary conflict with paying customers who are simply trying to attend their appointments. A customer cannot reasonably be expected to comply with a rule that has never been communicated, and a person with malicious intent would be unlikely to follow that rule regardless. What is most disappointing is that this situation was entirely avoidable. A simple instruction in the appointment confirmation such as "Please do not open the van door. Wait outside until the technician invites you in" would have prevented the entire interaction. I have been a loyal customer for years, which is why this experience was so surprising and frustrating. Unfortunately, this interaction has significantly damaged my confidence in BodySpec. I hope the company will review both the customer communication process and the way situations like this are handled in the future so that other customers do not have a similar experience.

Because of my family history, I'm always on top of the latest technology when seeking my mammograms. (At first we had digital 2D mammos, then the 3D, and now the MOST amazing CT technology EVER.) I live in Southern California and we have only ONE of the Vera Scan machines in all of California (Beverly Hills). But since this isn't covered by insurance in 2025, (because insurance companies don't know how amazing this actually is... less call backs, incredible accuracy the first time), you'll have to pay for it yourself. I found a location of the Vera Scan at the amazing place called The Painless Mammogram, in Dallas, Texas. Is it worth flying from Southern California to Dallas for a painless mammogram? Every penny of it! (The Painless Mammogram is a 3rd of the cost of the same one in Beverly Hills.) Koning makes the Vera Scan machine, and breast centers can choose to use it as an added option to the compression machines or only use that machine. The Painless Mammogram in Dallas ONLY uses the Vera Scan... as they should. (Why would any patient want to have older technology as an option? We're all trying to get away from the painful and stressful mammograms of the past!) Ladies, this was absolutely amazing, fast and a game-changer! No more Squishing, smashing or contorting our breasts. The location, though in a strip mall area, is very spa-like and calm inside. Jeana will greet you when you come in the door, get your information and take your payment. You're brought back to the dressing room to put on a robe. Then it's off to the Vera Scan room. Candice explained how it works. (She even drew me an example of what regular mammograms "see" and what Vera Scan sees.) She is full of knowledge with years of experience! I'm so grateful for her! You lie down on the Vera Scan machine, put one breast in the hole, Candice makes sure it will be a "good scan," then 7 seconds later, that breast is done. No need for a gazillion other "views" because the Vera Scan CT unit circles around it for full views (never available before now). Then you put the other one in the hole, and the same process will happen. I got to make a video of both sides of my scan so that I could have a copy of the experience.) Candice is the ultimate professional and incredibly personable! Then the wonderful doctor who owns this location will read your scan in a day or so. Then your doctor will receive the report. If you live in another state, it's SO worth the flight to Dallas. The staff is amazing. I'll never have to get a compression mammogram again! Those days are over! The ONLY thing I wanted, that they didn't do, was allow us to buy one of the coffee mugs with their logo that they had on the shelf.... and maybe a t-shirt with a QR code so I could tell the world about The Painless Mammogram, performed using Koning's Vera Scan! Haha! I want a t-shirt and coffee mug! Fly to Dallas now and get your painless mammogram today! Dallas' Love Field airport is right near the location. Easy in and out! Do it!

This is my 2nd go-round (technically 3rd) at the Women's Imagining Center…read more I had a 3D mammogram done here a year & 1/2 ago. I needed to return for a second exam that visit. The phone call requesting a return visit provided a few days of angst, but all ended up well. Here I am again this year. The reception, check in & practitioners have been fabulous on all visits. My practitioner even remembered me from 18 months ago.....Wow! There is PLENTY of room for family members or providers to accompany you on your visit. There is coffee and magazines. I had to fill out one set of paper-docs for my DEXA. They have switched to pretty cool electronic check in docs for a mammogram. They hand you an iPad, you check some boxes & viola. Once it's time for your exam, clients are taken to a changing area with keyed-lockers to store your items (Thank You from single gals everywhere!) They have these 1/2-length, cape-style garments for mammograms which make it a little more convenient to hit those poses for the squish. There are also some longer more traditional hospital-like garments with sleeves for other exams or mobility/modesty issues.....don't be shy....get your mammogram cape on! You're a self-care super hero for being there. Once changed, clients remain in a separate waiting area until their exam. When you are done, collect your things from the locker, change & you're done. Don't forget to leave the key!! The mammogram sincerely not that bad at all. I'm not sure why there are so many stories of super-squishy pain. That hasn't been my experience(s). ** Do not wear garments with metal from the waist-down for DEXA....get your yoga pant day on ladies! On the day of the mammogram, do not apply lotions, creams or deodorant. I remember seeing personal wipes last year. I didn't see those this year. If you have to work or run around before your appointment, I think applying deodorant & bringing wipes would work out well. I saw a few ladies that use canes. I did not see anyone that used a wheelchair. Regardless, I have no doubt that they facilitate exams for anyone with mobility issues. No excuses! Get your exams done. If not for you, do it for your family and all the ladies (& men!) diagnosed in the time since your last exam! Best of health to all.......

The Baylor website confirmed my appointment and she was able to verify the same on her system as well. Still she kept me waiting as though I was a walk-in, but treated others with appointment more respectfully. I'm not sure if I was discriminated against my ethnicity because she allowed a couple of new walk ins with mild complaints to register and see the doctor, but kept making excuses to register me on the system. I have been to several urgent care clinics but this one was highly unprofessional and unpleasant to deal with. Made a mistake of not noticing her name. Having a health issue can put you in a really vulnerable position. It's surprising how many people in here have complained about this but this problem still continues. Unfortunately even the the sole male doctor working on site, was rude as well. I am giving him grace since doctors can be overloaded. That being said the medical assistant did a fantastic job!

The Aston building of UTSW Medical School used to be where my ENT was located and it was nice to revive the forgotten memories of having my nose, sinuses and throat probed, photographed and filmed in the building, NOT! Heh, it wasn't THAT bad even if I had suppressed those memories, but I really can think of more enjoyable things to do! The parking nearby the easy to find and get into building is valet. There are some self parking lots in the area for a longer walk if you want a lot of steps for the day. The cost for valet is $5, so I did the valet as I've always done in that building. As this was during the COVID era, the screening station when going in the door did all of the standard questions and checks before tagging you and releasing you back into the elevators and wild corridors of the building (its not wild, but I always feel like a captured animal being measured, tagged and released at these checkpoints.) The CT scan staff had the check-in down to a science and I was on my way back right to the machine on time. The scan was very quick and easy. I was out and back in my car right on schedule. Results came back quickly and posted on the UTSW patient app. (All of the required stuff was in my neck and no dangerous extra stuff was discovered if you were curious.) If you have to get a CT Scan, this place is pretty good!
