I love this ER. I have been a few times with yesterday being the most recent. I love that this ER checks thoroughly and provides human care. They were really understanding when I have been in pain. It feels as if I'm their only patient with the level of attention I have received, this feeling I'm sure is shared amongst the other patients seeking treatment along with me. They have always provided treatment options to me ahead of time & honestly I cannot thank them enough for being my quick go to help when I am seeking asap relief to my problems. My experience with other ERs have sometimes felt rushed which I understand. But consider Preston Hollow ER if you care about your level of care. read more

Everyone please believe the negative reviews! I went in with 10+ severe hip pain and the doctor literally could barely speak English and had no idea what to do. She never even felt my hip or tested for strength, etc. She was going back and forth on what to do, ex) ct scan or not? She wanted me to tell her yes or no and I kept saying what do you think is best? She could not answer. I ended up getting one but it took 5 hours to get the analysis . The nurses were all very nice and one even told us the Dr was new and didn't know things. I would never go back here. read more

Went there around 5am in the morning due to extreme leg pain that hindered me from walking. My significant other went in to get me a wheel chair because once again I couldn't walk; they told him they don't have any wheelchair?! Like what. Anyways, they come out 7 minutes later with a wheelchair and escorted me to a bed immediately. I thought that since I was going to a bed immediately that I would be taken care of immediately since I was 1 out of two people there (I'm assuming one other person was there). I got my blood drawn by a male nurse and when asking him to step out so I could change into my gown that a female nurse gave me he instead stood facing the cabinets and didn't leave. Then says "let me just do this really quick I get off really soon." Excuse me? It takes less than 5 minutes to change. I just say ok and let him stick me instead of changing. He leaves and the female nurse comes back in to take my blood pressure and then they disappear for around an hour. They come back to say I need to take a urine sample and I say "ok" and she helps me into the wheelchair to do so. We get to the bathroom and she says she will be outside the bathroom to help me. I finish and start calling her to help me get wheeled back to the room. Instead she isn't outside my door but around the corner laughing it up with her co-workers. As soon as she sees me she begins to try and help but I've got it now and just takes the pee sample. I get back in my room and the time is 6 something; I've been here since 5. I laid in my bed unable to move, unable to sit up, unable to roll over, unable to walk, unable to scoot or move in general for an hour an a half. Once the time hit around 7am and we were STILL waiting on the pee sample. In this time I've been given no pain meds despite the fact that I've been bawling my eyes out since I got there. My significant other had to go up there and demand pain meds because it slipped through their minds (even after I explained that my leg pain was at a 9 or 10 because I could not walk at all and was extremely uncomfortable). The nurses tell each other to go find the doctor and 5 minutes later another nurse comes in to give me some type of medication to ease the pain. We're still waiting for the pee test close to 8am and so I just let them know we will be leaving because I don't feel like I'm getting the proper care I need right now. The doctor walks in with her red mini skirt, black low cut shirt, and thigh high leather heels (WHAT DOCTOR WEARS THAT TO WORK: I thought I was at a hospital not the club. Also for you to better recognize this doctor, they have red hair and HAIR PLUGS) and just shrugs and says "ok" I start packing up to leave and they come in right as I'm leaving my room to say "your urine test came back and you have *bleh*" I say ok and she says "if you stay we can help look further into that for you "I ask if they're going to actually help me or just laugh in the hall for hours while I cry in my room." They say they'll help. I'm told that I have to wait for the CT guy to show up and that he would be here as past as possible to help me. I take a short nap from the pain meds and the CT guy shows up. Let me just say he was amazing. Super help, super kind, and super understanding. He was very gently when helping me and even told me that he hopes I get/ feel better soon. I wait for my results to come back and my mother has joined me in the room. The nurses and doctors change their tune when she starts asking for different meds, why they didn't do an x-ray on me when I said the problem was in my back and not my abdomen or kidney, and why they weren't checking on my room as often to make sure I'm ok due to the pain I'm in. The nurses say they got my scans back and that they don't show signs of kidney stones (mind you I wasn't looking for that; only my leg pain). My mom once again ask about an x-ray and the nurses state that they didn't do one for some made up reason. My mom just says ok and ask for the disc from the ct scan. We're told we can come pick it up on Monday because they can't access it right now. Then the nurse comes in my room and starts talking to us about me feeling better, looking better, etc etc (mind you they never came in my room once before my mother showed: my mom is a nurse) she's now wheeling me out in the wheelchair and trying to be nice. Anyways, don't go here if you have major pain. The doctor dresses like they're going to a club and is very dismissive, the nurses are also very dismissive, unserious and it feels like if you don't ask it won't happen, and I felt super abandoned and alone. They are complete frauds. My friend took her daughter when she had just twisted her ankle and they sent a bill for over $5,500. They even did a pregnancy test on her which is NUTS. When she said she cannot afford to pay this much they sent her to a nasty collection agency. Be aware. These guys are scammers looking to make money. Go to a proper emergency room at a hospital. I went to Preston Hollow ER 3 times in 2020 and 2021, twice for stitches and once for staples after an injury. The care was great, no wait and immediate treatment. I paid the copay for my insurance. I got a bill from some place called Quantas for $54, which I reluctantly paid. Now I am getting bills for $64 from some physicians group which went to a collection agency because I refuse to pay any more. I spoke with PH billing department today and was told the Quantas bill was a facility fee and the other is for the physician's group. They are in the process of negotiating the fees for my visits and insurance paid low so I have to make up the difference. There are still 2 more bills in negotiation so I may have further invoices. How many more years can I expect bills from this place? You are better off going to Care Now than a stand alone ER because these places are not properly regulated. read more

I went with a low grade fever and some stomach issues, was there for just over an hour and this place charged nearly $10,000. Insurance only paying a small fraction of that. Now, you have to realize that this is a real ER, not urgent care. That being beings said, I was treated like I was the most important person there. My nurse Bree, the tech CJ and Dr. Kim made sure they figured out exactly whet was wrong and what treatment and follow up I needed. Veterans BEWARE. The "ER" at Walnut Hill is NOT an Emergency Room. My son, a 32 year old 2-tour Iraqi War veteran suddenly lost his vision at 5am Sunday morning. Preston Hollow is up the street from his residence, so we went to Preston Hollow "ER". The medical assistant at the check in desk spent 10 minutes collecting information, and then told us that they were unable to verify insurance. He added that this veteran could be seen, but they "would have to collect $500 in advance" because they are "not set up with TriCare". If you served your country and have a medical emergency, bring money or go elsewhere! We left and went to Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital ER. My son was with a physician by the time I parked the car. Emergency resolved by a real ER. read more

While having to go to the ER late at night is never a fun experience, I felt very relaxed, comfortable, and accommodated by this awesome team! They took great care of myself and made both me and my family feel comforted throughout my entire visit. If you need to go to the ER, I highly highly recommend this great facility. Everyone was friendly and Dr. Muniz spent time making sure all of our questions were answered to where we did not feel rushed in the slightest. I had to come in to go into Preston Hollow ER on New Year's Day to have an injury checked out and wound up having an emergency procedure. My first impression upon walking in was how clean and well kept the lobby/waiting room was. I filled out paperwork and they got me back into a room in less than 10 minutes upon arrival. I cannot say enough great things about Dr. Mahbubani. He was extremely knowledgeable and professional. He took the time to explain to me what my options were, and talked me through the procedure as he was working on me. I had to visit Highland Park ER for my check up two days later and was equally pleased with that location. The nurses, as well as other staff members were also very helpful and accommodating. For the past week, I had a slowly creeping cold. I was sneezing, then it stopped. Then I had a sore throat and ear, that blossomed into a fiery throat from hell. Chills, fever, cold sweats, headaches. I thought I had some ill flu. Because I'm busy, focused, and like to be holistic, I told myself I was upper limiting - experiencing too much good and subconsciously self sabotaging. I purchased copious Cara Cara oranges, ruby red grapefruit, and honey, and juiced like I was going on a fast. By Thursday I was sent home from work. Friday I was on a spit bottle because I was waking up and retching from my inability to swallow. I still didn't listen, so I was at Whole Foods getting ingredients for a Hot Toddy (minus whiskey, I got that someplace else), and my roommate told me to go to the ER because this was too long for just a sore throat. (All other symptoms subsided.) This place - I found driving past the liquor store. They were open 24 hours, and nobody was there. Why not? I was seen immediately. The place is clean, with refreshments. They took my vitals, and were upfront, they couldn't tell what it was, and I came back negative for Strep. They said it was good I came in when I did because the condition could have caused an abcess - and I didn't have that yet. I got an IV injection, and two antibiotic RX. The CVS across the street, chick was rude when she told me the meds weren't covered, so when I came back, they talked me into taking a shot for one of the antibiotics, and just getting liquid for the other. I have piercings, but I hate needles. I know I know. But you know they had to get sarcastic and persuasive to make me drop my pants, and apologize for boyshorts with skeleton hands gripping my ass. (LMAO) This was a hospital worst nightmare for me - going to the ER unprepared to bare my ass for a shot. But the pain was even less painful than the IV - pinches! - and over in seconds. I started feeling better last night and could talk but didn't talk much. This morning I have some mild discomfort but I can swallow! (Uhm... don't think like that.) And I have a few days off work to lay around and come back well rested. I pray my insurance doesn't try to pass the bulk of this visit over to me. -_- But I saw Dr. Vela, he was sarcastic - but so am I - and he was able to answer all of my questions and concerns and run all the tests I needed while getting me effective treatments. Definitely recommend. You might have a higher bill, but you won't be waiting around for 3 hours to be seen and the staff is professional, and refreshments and access to 75 is immediately available. Plenty of parking and CVS is across the street if you need to fill your RX. (I went to Walgreen's. As I said, wasn't impressed with her attitude.) read more

I would select no stars if possible. I went in on a Sunday night suffering from self-diagnosed Vertigo. I can't write a prescription for myself, so I had to see a professional somewhere, and we THOUGHT this should be less expensive than a real ER. Boy, were we wrong. Then, when I presented the front desk, a week or so later, an affidavit for the treating doctor to sign describing my symptoms and reason for the need of short term disability, I was told they didn't do that. So, basically, because of Preston Hollow ER's inability to provide my insurance a description of my illness, I had to go a month without pay. To add insult to injury (no pun intended), I wasn't paid for my time off, AND their exorbitant bill arrived during this time. This place is very clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. It is also relatively new, which adds to the aesthetics. But, you will quickly learn how they fund the nice new building when you receive your bill. Insurance aside, they charges an outrageous amount for a simple check for strep throat. They didn't even conduct a strep test, and the bill was over $1K before insurance reduction. They no longer are called an "immediate care center" when googled. Probably because they realized that their billing practices are not that of an immediate care, but instead of an ER, even if they treat people outside of the practices of typical ER. Go somewhere else if you want to avoid huge bills for 15 minute visits. read more

This was hands down the best experience I've ever had at a hospital! It was around 11:45pm, and I was worried about going to Baylor or Children's hospital because I didn't want to wait for 5 hours just to have my blood pressure taken. So, my fiancée checked online and told me to come here. 1st of all, I was the only person there. They have tons of keirig coffee flavors, juices, and snacks to choose from, as well as, comfy couches. I gave the receptionist my insurance and ID and within 10 minutes I saw the doctor. He ran his tests, gave a thorough diagnosis with Rx, and I was out the door within 30 min with no charge! They even gave me a really nice folder and tumbler filled with goodies. I almost want to get sick again to come back here. I will never again visit Baylor! read more

Well... if you have to go to the emergency room, I would say this is the best bet. And since I haven't received my bill yet, I thought it might be a good time to write a sparkly review for this new sparkly center. A co-worker actually ended up here with gall stones (ouch!) and I came to visit her and help her tie up some loose ends before she was transferred to a nearby hospital. I was so impressed by the kind and helpful staff! In fact, I was so impressed that when my soon to be hubby got his wedding ring stuck on his finger the week of our wedding, I knew exactly where to take him. After much tugging and pulling and even some bleeding, we waltzed into Preston Hollow Emergency Center and were greeted by two smiling faces. After filling out some paperwork and telling them our scenario, we were whisked away to a room with a big screen TV and hospital bed. My beau settled in and nurses and the doctor came to assess the damage. After lots of work with no result, the staff called in the big guns and went to pick up more (tougher) equipment from another nearby center. A few hours later, we were ring free and my beau was ready to go home with all of his phalanges. The staff was so friendly and we got a few free hours of cable out of it so overall, I call it a win! While I hope you never have to check this place out for yourself, I do suggest that you make this your emergency room of choice. read more

I went in because I woke up this morning with stomach acid shooting up into my throat. It burned so badly and it was the first time this has ever happened to me so I felt I needed an ER visit. I explained what happened and the doctor said I had strep throat. They did a strep culture and found nothing. But was I prescribed an antibiotic, a steroid, and pain meds. I've had strep before and I know it never causes acid to shoot up into my throat! They also did an EKG because my blood pressure was a bit high. I mentioned that I hadn't taken my blood pressure medication yet as it was very early in the morning and my throat was on fire. I honestly think they were trying to up my bill. I have insurance, but It doesn't cover everything. I'm scared that I'm going to get screwed because they did a bunch of testing that was unnecessary. read more

I have visited this ER two times. One time was with insurance ... another time was for a car wreck. I found that if you are going through an insurance company and you have a low deductible and good insurance that it is not a problem. If you are settling outside of an insurance company the prices they charge are extremely high and they are unwilling to negotiate down to a fair amount. This was my go to but I am going to be visiting other locations for care since my last experience. read more

Glad this place is here. I dislocated my shoulder yesterday. Was able to get right in, x rays and treatment from a doctor. That all went great. I had an adverse event from the Meds they prescribed. So i itched all night. I came back this morning. The doc saw me again, gave me a shot and said tete was not much else to do. They did not charge me which I thought was nice. My only complaint is the bedside manner of the nurse. She said she had to give me a shot in my left shoulder. I am in a sling and cannot get my sleeve to role up. I said "I cannot get it up any farther." She said I would have to take it off. She did not offer to help or have any sympathy. I honestly wanted to slap her. I am clearly in pain trying to do this. Then she had the nerve to call me "sweet heart". Take a lesson. Bedside manner!!! read more

I had been feeling sick for a few days, and on 1/25, I woke with fever and body aches. I went to Preston Hollow ER, since I'd been treated there previously, and was always pleased. That night was no different. I was seen as soon as I signed in, and within 30 minutes I had labs done and resulted, and found that I was severely dehydrated, and had an elevated white count. Nurse Rebecca and Nurse Jenn were amazing, checking on me often, and Dr Stilley was completely awesome and so down to earth. His calm demeanor made me feel more relaxed. So a few hours later, after IV fluids, antibiotics and steroids, I was ready to go home and felt so much better. I know people gripe about their bills, but this IS an ER, ok? And it's worth it, to not have to wait, and to be given a warm blanket, and to be feeling so much better in the amount of time most would still be waiting to be seen. I gave this place 2 stars bc although the service was great, I felt taken advantage of. I went at 2 in the morning bc my son had croup and wanted to get him the steroid shot but they swabbed him for 2 other things that I knew he didn't have, gave him a breathing treatment which he really didn't need and I'm sure the doctor knew this. They also billed me for gauze and alcohol so now I have a bill of 2k and I have good insurance bc I'm a public school teacher so I'm not quite sure how that will get paid so PROCEED WITH CAUTION. Again, staff is nice, place is clean and comfortable but the billing system is quite outrageous and will cost you a lot of money. My husband also cut his hand and had to get 2 stitches and then I'll was $900 ... they just have him 2 stitches .. we were there 45 minutes max. read more

FIRST-This is an ER, not an Urgent Care. So of course, this will be ER pricing. Not sure why this surprises all of the other posters. I knew that going in. My daughter needed stitches. The facility is VERY clean. We did not have to wait, we just had to answer a few questions and Ricardo let me fill out the paper work in a room. He was kind and very helpful. Oscar and Trey accessed my daughter's condition and took vitals. Edwin took x-rays. All three were so nice and good with my daughter. Dr Kim was AMAZING! They put on her favorite cartoon and tried to distract her as best they could. She was able to pick a toy out of the treasure chest. I am grateful that the whole staff was so nice and understanding of a three year old. I was so happy with this visit. I almost do not want to tell anyone so it does not become too popular, ha! I highly suggest going here instead of a hospital ER. The staff is qualified the same and it was so nice to not have to deal with hospital parking and waiting. read more

DO NOT GO HERE! They are crooks. I went on a recent Friday night to get my erratic blood pressure checked based on my doctor's advice. (He said head to a doc-in-the-box and ask for a simple EKG.) This place was nearby so I dropped in. They hooked me up to an EKG for an hour and then I left. That was it. A month later I got 2 bills totaling close to $2,000. That's AFTER they charged my insurance (BCBS) $5,000. I'm still battling with about my bill. DO NOT SUPPORT THIS PLACE. What they are doing is a crime! read more

I am extremely upset by how this institution does business. It was a Saturday at the beginning of April 2019 when I went in because I was leaving the country the next day and I realized I had a sinus infection and needed a prescription for antibiotics. I went in and told the front desk exactly what my problem was. The place was completely empty. I asked At the front desk how much it would cost. When I gave her my insurance card, she told me they were arguing with my insurance company, so I would have to pay a $500 deposit to see anyone. This should have been my first tip-off. She then told me they had to get a $500 deposit to even be seen and that the bill would be adjusted after the service was rendered. So, I paid it on my credit card. After I saw the doctor for less than 5 minutes, where I told him exactly what was wrong with me, what antibiotic I normally get and he wrote the prescription, I went back to the front desk and asked how much it was going to cost. She then told me that the billing department would figure that out and I would get an adjusted bill. She implied, though did not clearly state, that I should be getting a refund. Months later I get a bill for $1300. Unbelievable. I did not pay it. When the billing company called me months later for collection of the additional $800, I was extremely upset. She told me immediately she would reduce the bill $500 so I would only need to pay $300. I told her I would call my insurance company before paying anything. My insurance company told me that they were not going to pay any of it and $500 was certainly more than they would ever reimburse for what I got. Now it is January 31, 2020 and they call me again. I ended up paying the $300 more just to avoid further nuisance. This is not the way healthcare billing should be handled. How disgusting this company is to rip people off like this. I am fortunate that I am able to just pay to make this go away but this is not right. I was clearly misled at the facility. I am disgusted with this place and tell you to go to Presbyterian Hospital emergency room if you need to go. It's just around the corner. I just broke my ankle and went to that emergency room and everything billing-wise was a breeze. It has taken much longer for me to write this review than the doctor expended on me!
