I have been coming here since they opened, as it is located on my route home, from work. In the beginning, the wash worked very well, but lately the drying is insufficient and excessive hand drying is needed. But, on top of the actual wash, the service staff should be aware (as I brought this matter up to an asst. Mgr. - Alex on 2 occasions) that as busy as they are, there are times that a patron would need to wait for a vacuum/ drying parking space. What has happened each time I have been there, is patrons without handicap placard or plates are using the ONE space designated by blue stripe outline, as well as the sing on a post stating Designated Handicap Parking, minimum fine $250 for violating. On previous visits, I have spoken with Alex, and he told me that they do usher waiting cars to pull into that space to keep the line moving. Today, it was busy and there was a car in the handicap spot (no plates or placard). So I spoke with Alex again, and he said that he would bring this issue to the attention of the manager. I reminded him that the employees should NOT usher non-handicap customers to that spot , and additionally, they need to watch that spot , to be able to ask customers to move, if not displaying the plates or placard. This should be quite easy, as they have employees stationed right there by that spot. read more

This drive through car wash is great, they offer several different packages for your car wash and at a real bargain price too. Great service, very clean and well kept up. Always packed no matter what time you go i guess that's a good thing because so many people like it the only problem i saw was that there were no parking slots once my car was washed so i could dry it and vacuum it. I had to wait for about 5 minutes before a slot opened up, you also have to bring your own towel to dry it which is fine because they give you a $1.00 discount if your a Yelp member so the second package wash of $7.00 was only $6.00 and my car got the extra wax sealer which immediately added shine to the paint. I've been to LBG Express Car Wash many times since the place doesn't have any homeless persons begging me for money. Overall, the wash is okay due to the competitive prices and the long line. From my personal experience, the long line is terrible and frustrating, especially in the afternoon and evening. The weekend is the worst. I had to wait for the washing and the drying when it really busy, which happen most of the time. My breaking point was dealing with a rude manager. He might be an owner there. So I went here today for my usual car wash, I always get the "First Class" wash which is 15 dollars . Upon arriving the car wash machine broke down so we literally sat there for about 15 minuets. Finally I get to the machine and it just lets me through without paying. I'm not sure if the machine glitched or it let me through free of charge for the long wait. So I wanted to be honest and informed one of the workers that the machine let me through for free and wasn't sure if that was suppose to happen and if it was a courtesy wash I wanted to know which wash it was giving me. She then went and got her manager who was a COMPLETE ASSHOLE! The Asian manager ( I believe his name was William because that's the name on the receipt) came out screaming saying where is your receipt. I took a minuet to gather myself because I was ready to let his rude disgusting ass have it, but I told him that the machine didn't give me a receipt it let me in for free and that I wanted the "First Class" wash. I told him I didn't care about paying I just needed the "First Class " car wash. He then yelled "okay you pay" and demanded my card and as I was handing it over to him he snatched it out of my hand. While he was ringing my card in the office I asked one of the workers who he was and she said the Asian guy was the manager. He then gave another worker my card because I guess he didn't want to come back to the car to give it to me. This car wash washes my car very good but the customer service is ridiculous ! That asshole manager needs to be suspended and sent to a customer service class because with the way he acted today would cause customers not to return. I'm currently looking for some where else to go now, I am beyond disgusted and refuse to be disrespected by a low class manager at a car wash. read more

So I went by this morning and explained what happened. They asked for $5 to replace the tag. First, I love how this big this place is. I find that many car washes are very cramped, and difficult to navigate in and out of, but this is not at problem at LBG! I always get the $6 wash at any quick wash, because that generally does the job well. But today, I decided to get the $15 wash because it includes a quick buff at the end of the wash. So I go through, all is well and when it gets to the buff part, it doesn't even touch my car. I go to share my disappointment with the manager. He tells me that it didn't touch your car because the buffers are still wet and need to dry. Ok, understandable but I just spent $15 for a wash that didn't do what it's suppose to, so I asked him to at least give me a free wash for next time, even told him the cheap $6 wash is fine. They give you a towelette to wipe your dashboard! Pay at the little machine kind of like a drive through. Credit accepted. A human will be there to guide your car on the tracks. I was a little confused at first when I didn't see a place to pay but just follow the signs, it's behind the vacuums. The vacuums are free with a wash and they are crazy powerful it's almost scary. They make hideously loud noises too so be careful!! I've used coin operated ones that were a lot weaker. At the price point I am very impressed. $8 for one step above the economy $6. I've gotten the more expensive washes and there's no added value. I love coming here. I'm usually bad about getting my car washed but since I found out about this place, I've been going almost every week. All you do is drive up, select which wash you want, pay, and 'drive' through! In the end they have some pretty damn good vacuums that are free with each wash! Looked state of the art and I was expecting because it is located near the freeway, near the gas stations without a carwash AND near Long Beach Airport. This place is going to charge up the wazoo. Not the case. This is THE BEST carwash in all of my years owning a car. They have various payment options. If you check in on Yelp you get a $1 off. NICE! I opted for the monthly feature. $20 gets you UNLIMITED WASHES. Yes you read right. UNLIMITED. Like when you found that Icee machine that was $1 and you can guzzle all the slushee you wanted? SAME THING. This carwash puts your car on a conveyor belt and washes your car in no time. No hassle. Very easy. Another added benefit. There are vacuums to the side at least 40 of them no lie. You can clean your interior with the carwash! I was in awe. I was recommended by a friend and he goes everyday. Whether that is good or not for your paint I'm not sure. Car wash prices range from about $5 to about $15 (get $1 off with the Yelp check in promo code; the $15 price also gets you a 3 day rain guarantee!!! You can also buy a "car wash membership", but I don't know how much that is - hit the top button on the screen to pay for a single car wash). When you pull in, they give you a wipe for your dashboard (something that often gets forgotten - in my case - in these kinds of car washes), they also give you lollipops for your kiddos so they are happy, they direct you into the wash, it guides your car through and uses the big sponges / wiper thingys (not direct water spray) to wash your car and get it clean. After pulling through, you can stop and dry off (really, you just need to touch up the bumpers) with either your own towel or the $1 towel that they offer and vacuum your car for free if you want or take off and be on your way. I stopped here last week (I didn't know it was here, I was just driving by). It has rained twice since then and although my car doesn't look that great anymore, I just noticed that my tires still look awesome and shiny!! I can't speak for the higher $ washes but I love that you get access to free vacuum at the end. Wow, what a great and cheap car wash!! My car was filthy, like I could barely see out the windows, it was bad. I came through here on my lunch break from work, got the cheapest wash ($1 cheaper with my yelp check in coupon) , waited my turn,then sat in for the ride. Afterwards, my car looked great. No mud, no residue, no streaks or spots (on my dark paint.) They have a bunch of vacuum stations if you're into that kind of thing, I passed, but it's there. They have lots of attendants to kind of guide you into the car wash and tape down your rear wiper if needed. Stop in the subway in the same parking lot, grab a sandwich, and eat while your car is riding through the wash. If I washed my car more,, or ever, I'd get their monthly wash pass.
