This place is fairly easy to get to, although parking was a bit tricky (I parked on the side and was unaware there was more parking on the other side of the building); also, I was unaware this was place was shared with an event space. When you first walk in, you'll see a sign for the event space upstairs and the 18 N Central place below. There are several computers for you to sign in (which consists of retrieving your info, picking a username and swiping a card (which I believe you can use for next time) and is also given to you from the front desk. The activities determine where you go. Since we were doing laser tag, we walked around the corner and were given a brief set of rules and instructions. Then we were assigned a team, our gear, and led to the actual laser tag area. We played a series of games and it was cool because throughout the games you could see your shooting percentage, kills, and etc. I had no expectations since this was my first time ever playing laser tag, but my competitive side refused to let me come in dead last. All in all, I had a great time. My only constructive criticism is to slow down when giving the directions. While it seemed like most people had experience, it was intimidating for those who didn't, especially when it came down to doing anything with the gun. Additionally, it made me feel like I was in the military for a second because the guy was talking so fast and made it as if he didn't want/need to repeat himself. Our Sunday group was a combination of a family of three, a mom and her young son and my group of 4 adults. The instructor had some excellent axe puns and humor- but his actual instruction was somewhat lacking. He never landed a single axe in the target during his demonstrations. The target area is a bit like a short archery range, two targets in each range and it had two ranges. It's a large fenced in area to prevent the occasional wild flying axe and a plywood back with more wooden targets overlaid on it with cement floors. We were instructed on how to do a two handed and one handed throw and then we played games to test our skills. I really did enjoy throwing an axe at some wood and that satisfying thud when I would land one in to the target. Overall I had a great time and I would love to go again with the right group of people. Things that disappointed me slightly were the axes themselves. They looked like inexpensive harbor freight hatchets that they didn't maintain or sharpen (hence the instructor not landing in the target when he demonstrated) The axes take a beating and when people are learning and they hit that cement floor- they get pretty banged up. I think they need to sharpen the ones they have or go out and get some new ones. The second thing that was mildly frustrating was the lack of food and beverages available. This is an athletic activity- you sweat, you move around. We did this for three hours and didn't have the opportunity to buy water. We had water in the car (thank goodness) but if you plan to do this grab a granola bar and some beverages. Ultimately I think this was a lot of fun - and I would love to do it again with a bit more planning and my group of friends.

I emailed him after the previous tournament (2 weeks prior) to ask which two out of the three days that were listed my child's division would play so we could book a hotel room. He never responded. The day the registration closed (2 days prior to the tournament start date) I forwarded my previous email to him. He responded that afternoon with a quick line of sorry. We hadn't had an issue playing there until today. You can't see/hear anything going on in the middle courts. Their set up is definitely not viewer friendly. Cannot keep stats for further coaching because you can't see or hear what anyone says unless you are playing on court 1 or 2. We will not be back.
