Gateway Fun Park is a great local business. We usually play mini-golf. I love that they have landscaped so thoughtfully with pollinator friendly plants, and both courses are really whimsical and well designed. At this point there are lots of mature trees so on hot days there is plenty of shade. The young people who work here are very helpful and friendly. I love that Gateway gives back by supporting BVSD's Trip Tracker program, which allows kids to earn reward bucks for walking, biking, and carpooling to school.

Today we visited and there was no social distancing and people with no masks EVERYWHERE. The staff was doing nothing to solve this problem. It was very a unsafe and disappointing experience for my family. The go-kart line was packed like sardines, with only 2 doubles running, so if you were waiting for a double, you had a 30+ minute wait in that unsafe crowd. Even an employee who was raking the mini golf course wasn't wearing a mask. Come on Gateway, get with the program. You have a great opportunity for safe outdoor family entertainment if you would follow CDPHE guidelines.

If you are looking for some old-fashioned, good-ole family fun, then check this spot out! That being said, some of the attractions are a touch pricey, so prepare to take a wallet hit especially if you are in a large group. For my visit I first started with a couple of rounds of go-karting where each round was about 3-4 laps around the track. As I sat in the well-used kart surrounded by the smell of gas and roar of engines, adrenaline filled my veins. After a kind of anti-climatic start, I was in it to win it. Unfortunately my kart was not. Tip, ask the attendant what the fastest car is! For our trip it was #16, #22, and #11. As for the course, it was a nice challenge filled with plenty of fast turns and twists! Beware that the dirt of the track does fly up a bit, so wear sunglasses! Next stop was the windmill course for mini-golf. For the most part the course was well-kept with the exception of a few loose walls and duct taped mushrooms. The holes themselves are not extremely challenging so it might not be worth the price. That being said, you can play the same course as many times as you like as long as you don't exit the course, so maybe you can add some human-made challenges. Finally, we tried out the batting cages. Price wise it wasn't bad at all! You get 20 pitches for $2 essentially. They have both softball and baseball ranging from slow to very fast. They do supply helmets and bats, but I'm sure you can bring your own. Helmets are only required for the fast and very fast cages. I tried the slow pitch softball to warm up, then added a degree of challenge by moving up to slow baseball. Then on a whim I tried very fast baseball and that was borderline terrifying! Definitely not for the faint of heart but fun nonetheless! Overall a really solid place with plenty to do!

Love the festivals that sometimes happen in back - and the bouncy castles they bring!

I had a very disappointing experience at the D-Bat in Lafayette…read more I reserved and paid for a batting cage several hours in advance. When I arrived early to check in, I was assigned a cage number. However, when I went to the cage, it was still occupied by two boys. I returned to the front desk and was told that I could use the cage once my reservation time began. At exactly 5:00 p.m., I informed the boys that I had reserved the cage for that time. Instead of leaving, they argued that they didn't know their time was up and refused to leave until a D-Bat employee told them to. It should never have been my responsibility to enforce my own reservation. When an employee finally came over, she didn't immediately ask them to leave. Instead, she asked what was going on, and the boys continued making excuses, saying they forgot to check their phone and no one had warned them that their session was ending. Rather than ending the conversation and having them vacate the cage, the discussion continued while my paid reservation time was ticking away. What was most frustrating was how the situation was handled. The employee repeatedly checked to make sure the boys were okay, but never once acknowledged the inconvenience to me or apologized for the delay. As the paying customer whose reservation was being interrupted, I deserved more. After the boys finally left, I asked if my reservation could be extended so I would receive the full hour that I had paid for. I was told no because it would interfere with the next reservation. While I understand they needed to stay on schedule, the fact remains that I did not receive the full hour I purchased because D-Bat failed to ensure the previous customers left on time. The staff at the front desk also appeared uninterested in resolving the issue or making it right. There was no concern for the poor customer experience. In the end, my daughter lost part of the batting time I had paid for because another group refused to leave and the staff failed to enforce the reservation schedule. Good customer service means taking ownership when something goes wrong and making a reasonable effort to resolve it. Unfortunately, that did not happen here. I don't expect perfection, but I do expect a business to honor the service I paid for and treat customers fairly. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this location.

My husband and I are from Wyoming and needed some indoor batting practice before our upcoming Rockies Fantasy Camp. We were only able to come to Windsor at very specific times due to the long drive. The owners, Brian and Krista, were very accommodating in adjusting their hours for us. The facility is very versatile to everyone's needs. We were able to use one of the 8 batting cages for some throwing practice, which was an added bonus. The batting cages offer several options to cater to your needs and budgets. We used the amazing Homeplate Simulator and were not disappointed!! It is the most realistic batting experience next to receiving pitches from a pro pitcher. It allows adjustments for speed, type of pitch, etc. Brian, Krista and their staff were super helpful through the whole experience. While we only did baseball batting practice, the Academy also offers options for softball, basketball and soccer! So the next time you are looking for an indoor sports facility, you will not be disappointed with CHAMP Sports Academy. We're looking forward to our next visit. It is worth the drive!

The nostalgia brought me joy, plus swinging the bat is a great stress relief! The other night a thought hit me like a ton of bricks. "I haven't swung a bat since living in Denver." What the hell, Matt? You've been here for over a year already! And a quick Yelp search led me to Cornerstone. The great thing about these cages is that they're apart of Cornerstone Park, but separated from the ballfields. I don't remember how much I used to pay for tokens, so any comparison is void. These were $9 for five rounds, or 80 pitches. There are nine cages in total, ranging from slow to fast, baseball and softball. I've never been to a batting cage with an option of height for the pitching machine. Nice touch! For the most part, the cages were accurate, fast and mostly in working order. Obviously you can rent a bat/helmet for free. You're allowed to bring your own if you choose. Except many more check-ins from me at Cornerstone. I'm ready to get my swing back and rep blisters on my hands!
