Richard was the one who responded to my tow request, and helped me to remain calm. I truly feel that meeting Richard was a blessing and an answer to my prayers. It is rare to find someone who practices the "Golden Rule" ("to treat others the way you want them to treat you"). Thank you Richard for showing me kindness and validating my concerns. May you and your family continue to be blessed for showing genuine compassion.

-- Reputation is everything! -…read more I retired in this tiny town just over ten years ago and here are the things I hear about these fine folks- "God forbid if I ever needed another tow, I would call Macklin." "His employees are more friendly than the other shops in town." "I can get what I want done without that horrible upselling I get from other shops." "His prices are really fair." I could go on! Arriving- They are just off US Route 27 Southbound, very near all the Avon Park fast food places. If it's busy, park over to the left of the building. Ambience- The business has posted great photos, so I won't reinvent the wheel. The waiting room is basic and clean and most importantly, the chairs are comfortable. Customer Service- Solid as a rock! I blame the owner for his excellent hiring skills! Towing- 24/7, 365 days a year! Even if you're an impaired driver on New Year's Eve, these are your guys! Check their map on Yelp for the area they cover. Services- If it grinds or squeals or thunks or just plain fails, these guys will figure it out. Of course, they do regular service every X thousand miles. You know the deal. Pricing & Value- I'm like most folks. If I get something done, I will mention the price to my friends and neighbors to compare. Every time I smile! Conclusion- In my opinion, your chances of having a fine experience here are very high.

    - 10 Star Steller service! -…read more Sooo, I'm in my MickyD's parking lot sipping on my 99-cent breakfast Iced Coffee and my car battery died! As this is a PG rated review, "Oh crap!" I needed a new battery. Customer Service- I called these fine folks, and a very nice employee told me that the owner Matt would be there to help me within 15 minutes! That's right, the owner of a business that's been in operation since 1958 was coming to help! He showed up in less than 15 minutes, jumped my car within seconds, and explained where and how to park my car at his place. Very efficient staff checked me in and took my keys. Ambience- I plunked myself down in a comfortable chair and noticed the very nice couch and flat-screen tv. Within minutes Matt came out and quoted a fair price and said it would be done quickly. Rest Rooms- At one point I headed for the restrooms and laughed out loud and the sign on each door! See my picture. Now I know why the men's room was eat-off-the-floor spotless! I didn't check the lady's room as I didn't want to deal with the screaming that would ensue! Wait Time- In less than 45 minutes my name was called, and I was out the door. That is nothing less than spectacular! My tire pressure light had lit up recently and I noticed that they took care of it without asking. Nice! Conclusion- What I experienced was a Master Class in customer service and professionalism. Ten (10) Stars is not enough!

Nervous about tomorrow. Probably won't show…read more Was recommended by a friend and after what happened he is looking to move his business as his daughter was not acknowledged just like me. Walked in with one gentleman at the counter and 3 people behind the counter. Stood there for a couple minutes and the lady asked if I had an appointment, I said no I was hoping to make one and she turned away and went to her computer. I was taken back. Customer sneezed and everyone said bless you and I said "sorry, I don't have the credentials." (Got a laugh from everyone) Stood there another 5 minutes after the only other customer went to sit down. Then I went and sat down. More people came in and I started openly asking who their best competitor is as I've been here for 15 minutes and haven't been helped. Scared me that no one had any recommendations. Then lo and behold I was pointed at and called on. Felt like the price is right and ran to the counter. Asked them who their competitors were as I'm not sure I have confidence that this is the right place for me. They all looked and the lady looked at me and said I didn't know you needed to make an appointment and I said yeah. When you asked I said "no I don't have one but would like to make one" and you walked away. Great costumer service. She was apologetic. But the first impression and confirmation from what my buddy experienced was done. I chose a tire and set up an appointment for an alignment and rotate of tires. But I'm scared if their workmanship is twice as good as their front office staff I would be lucky to have 30% of the lug nuts even on the vehicle when I pick it up. What would you do? I really want to use a local small business. But wow, just wow. I expect this kind of treatment from Firestone or discount tire. Not a locally owned business. And people wonder why local businesses fail.

Arriving- They are just off US Route 27 on West Main Street and super easy to find. Their parking lot is big enough to handle the load. Pro Tip- If your work is going to take a while, use Yelp and you'll discover that you can easily walk to at least three places to grab a bite. Ambience- This is an older building, but they keep it in nice condition. The waiting area is better than most with plenty of coffee and bottled water. A nice flat screen. The men's restroom is spotless. I can't tell you about the woman's restroom as I wanted to avoid all the yelling and screaming that would ensue! Pro Tip- There is decent password protected Wi-Fi and also a Xfinity Hot Spot. Outlets for a charger are a little tricky. Customer Service- Everyone that touched me was universally pleasant and courteous. There was a little confusion between my car and another and I received multiple genuine apologies and a nice discount on my bill. They are very popular and with that comes they are extremely busy. When you go here it will help if you think of it as two places. A tire shop and a mechanics shop. They sell a ton of tires and move customers in and out with efficiency. While I was there, tire customers were waiting about 45 minutes for their turn in a bay. If you need a mechanic as I did, make an appointment. If needed, they will accommodate you with a ride home or even to a local watering hole! The Work- Always top notch for me. I have a ton of friends that swear by them! Their pricing always seems to be fair. In this town they are the first stop for many folks if you need tires or a mechanic. Conclusion- If you need tires, they are a solid choice. They are also great if you need a mechanic, but you may need to wait a bit as they are a victim of their own success!

    - Excellent Service Center! -…read more There are times when dealership service is a must but most of the time, I find this place must faster and less expensive! Although owned by Ford, this excellent chain services all makes and models. They are a huge step up from your typical oil change place. These guys do tires, batteries coolant, brakes, steering issues and even some sensors. I'm sure I've missed some stuff! Arriving- The are on US Route 27 South and parking is easy. They are in front of Walmart so it's simple to grab a snack if necessary. Appointments are not necessary but strongly encouraged to avoid a wait. They can be made online. This visit I was taken in right on time! Ambience- A beautiful waiting room with huge windows into the bays so you can watch them work on your car. Spotless restrooms. Customer Service- I've never had a problem. They always take the time to explain everything clearly. For this visit I needed an oil change which comes with free tire rotation. I also had a "Check Engine" light on. The light turned out to be a sensor which just needed a quick cleaning. Oil change and tire rotation were normal. As usual they checked everything and explained it all. I was in and out in about 75 minutes and $75 with a smile on my face! I've been using these folks since they opened about 8 years ago and keep coming back for the always professional and friendly experience!

Called this place on this car…read morehttps://www.jarrettfordavonpark.com/used-Avon+Park-2007-Mercury-Grand+Marquis-LS-2MEFM75V17X623567 and spoke with a sales rep, possibly Adam, bad with names. Explained to him that i was driving from Miami and would appreciate an honest review of the car, wanting to know what problems the car had so I wouldn't be wasting their time as well as mine. He sent me a video, some pictures and stated that the car was in great shape. My wife and I were in the car the next day driving the 140 plus miles to their dealership. When we got there, we were greeted and told that the vehicle was being detailed. After about a 10 minute wait they brought the car around and it looked great from a distance. Upon closer inspection I immediately noticed the trunk lid, and rear bumper appeared to be freshly painted. The vehicles external flaws were told to me on the phone, so I knew what I was walking into. When I discussed on the phone the condition of the AC, he said it was working great. Upon inspection, it appeared that there was some type of foam sealant used on the ac accumulator. When asked about it the sales rep told us he knew nothing of that. While it blew cold, it was apparent that there was an issue at some time, but no one knew anything about it. I checked under the car and it also appeared since it was a North Carolina car, there was rust under the car which may have been why the rear deck lid and bumper were painted. I asked him why were they painted and I got what has to be the most ridiculous answer ever from a car salesman and I quote "We had them painted because the guys in the body shop had nothing to do so we gave them something to do" If that was the fucking case they should have done the whole car! Right then and there, we lost trust in both him and the dealership. We opened the trunk to find it extremely wet on both the carpet and deck lid. They took it back to the body shop and told us that they would let us know what the problem was. We left to go get something to eat and waited for their call. An hour and a half later I get a text that it was the studs holding the tail lights in and that it was fixed. Like I said earlier we lost trust with them, so we both decided to pass on the vehicle due to that loss of trust, NO MATTER HOW MUCH WE LIKED THE CAR! We both were quite pissed at the fact that we drove all that way fully expecting to leave with it, only to be mislead on what was actually wrong with the car. I called the dealership later to speak with the manager and left a message for Tim Masse the manager. I was told he would return my call, never did. Left another message yesterday, same result no call back. Left another this morning, still crickets. I'm sure that this dealership provides a great service to the local community that wants new cars? Used cars, another story. Would I do business with them? Not at this point. A simple inspection of the vehicle by one of their mechanics, listing what I found in a 15 minute inspection would have saved us a shit ton of time that I could have spent looking for an honest and reliable used car. I still cannot get over this statement; "We had them painted because the guys in the body shop had nothing to do so we gave them something to do" Think about that before you venture out to see what they have to offer. Just not right to bullshit a customer with cash to spend! Time to hit social media to spread the word....... They chose to delete my honest review so I added it again plus an update. Thank you for turning me away otherwise I wouldn't have found this little gem in my backyard. 2006 Grand Marquis 60 thousand original miles with an extended warranty to 92 thousand miles as well as 4 additional new tires and rims. Thank You
