I came and I saw my truck was smoking everywhere, I had to shut it down. The radiator was blown, and they still had the nerve to not take any responsibility for it. Friendly advice, look for someone who is honest to do your job and go there if you would like get ripped off

I brought my truck in to fix a leaking…read morecoolant line, and decided to get the transmission fluid flushed as well since it needed to be done. I picked up my truck and drove it 5 miles to harbor freight. I came out of the store and walked up to the passenger side, where I could see my coolant reservoir, which was bone dry. I called, they told me they put 2 gallons of coolant in and it should be full. I said it wasn't, they tried to give me a hard time, but agreed to look at it. I took it back, they looked at it (without me there), said that there must have been "a big air bubble that swallowed up the coolant." They put more in. Fine. Then, after a few days I noticed a leak under the transmission. I took it to another mechanic, who said that the person who did the transmission fluid flush tightened the drain pan too much and damaged the gasket. I took the truck back in, they said they would look at it and give me a call. They never called. I called back several hours later and the person on the phone told me it was ready to pick up. I asked what they did to it, since no one told me what they found or what they were going to do. They told me that "the bolts were under-torqued, so we retorqued them and drove it to make sure it's not leaking." Great. I go to pick it up, wait for the guy at the counter (while other employees at the desk did not acknowledge me at all). He told me "the key is in your truck and you're good to go." I went to my truck, opened the door, and found a giant chunk of metal sitting on the floor of my cab. I assumed someone accidentally set it there when they got distracted, and went back into the store to tell them. The mechanic said it was a chunk of my leaf spring which was broken. I said "were you going to tell me it was broken?" To which the guy at the desk said with an attitude "I didn't know. If I'd known I would've told you." I left, and to add insult to injury the gas gauge on my truck, which had been just below half when I dropped it off, was bottomed out, below E. I don't expect my truck to be filled up at the mechanic, but I also don't expect them to burn over 75 miles worth of fuel while I leave it there. I also expect that if there's no gas left to be told that I might want to fill it up as soon as humanely possible. These people are terrible mechanics, terrible business people, and overall the worst experience I have ever had at any business I have used in my life. I will never use them again, and neither should you.

The scheduling was smooth, and service was generally acceptable for a busy Friday afternoon. Staff was professional and courteous. However, they failed to notice that my car has offset wheel sizes (back wheels are wider than the front) and they installed one side backwards. While there was no damage, and I was able to resolve this myself, it's definitely concerning that a wheel and tire shop made such a simple mistake.

Dale always greets me with a smile, no matter what the reason I'm bringing a vehicle in to him. He not only works on mine and my husband's vehicles, he works on all of our family's vehicles. Yesterday I texted him even before the shop opened because my son's car had died on First Ave and I was having it towed to his shop. He was ready when it arrived and wasted no time in trying to diagnose the problem and then called me to give me all of the information about the problem and how it would be fixed. I took my car into "Affordable Auto Repair & Towing LLC" after my ball joint broke which broke…read moresomething else. It was a flat rate of ~$70 to get my car towed there and they got me fixed up and good to go within 3 days (as they are closed on Sundays). Technically, since two things broke, they needed to do two operations. The person I spoke with said that since they only worked in the one area anyways, that he changed the hours of labor which saved me close to $200. On top of that, my misaligned wheel is now aligned as well! Tl:dr; Fixed my car as fast as they could. Did a good job. Didn't try to gyp me.

We ended up having to take our daughter to the hospital over the weekend, and were there until about 4:00 AM. Probably because of that, I totally forgot CC Recycling was coming for the cars monday morning. I had one vehicle in the garage with only 3 tires on it (2 of which were flat) and another vehicle blocking that one into the garage. I assumed I could get the one vehicle ready to go while the other was being hooked up for the tow, but I totally misjudged how long it would take. Kevin from CC Recycling was incredibly helpful, and patient, while I did the bare minimum I needed to do to make it possible for him to tow both vehicles. I highly recommend working with CC Recycling!
