I had them - Inspect the car - Change my transmission oil and Filter and pan gasket - Remove and replace all 4 of my shocks, I now have Brand New Bilstein 4600 shocks installed in my 4runner Furthermore they were able to locate another potentially expensive problem and successfully fix it with a smart cost effective solution! AND to top it all off a complementary windshield washing and application of Aquapel (its like Rain-X on steroids). Unfortunately, the ECM had proprietary software and they tried and tried and couldn't resolve it. Nonetheless, they tried very hard and helped me get it to a reputable dealer. The real kick is this. They had lots of opportunity to charge me anything as I was desperate and these fine folks made this one of the most reasonable transactions dealt with from me in decades. Awesome people. I actually been using Dan from precision cycles for a few years now to service my Harley. Dan knows his stuff, he is respectful as a person and his work is excellent. His prices are fair. Once I spoke to friends about getting a tire changed, this was one of the top 2 spots recommended which made me feel confident I had made the right choice. Melanie and Vince were great at walking me through the information I needed and weren't annoyed with my noobie questions. They were also understanding when a dead battery resulted in me calling to cancel after my appointment 15 minutes after I was supposed to be there. Service was impeccable, speedy, and at a fair price. Other shop I had contacted earlier said 7-10 days for an appointment but VT was a 30 mins stop in on 2 days notice (both the original and the reschedule) with next day appointments offered that I simply couldn't make work. This dynamic duo come highly recommended from riders who work in the industry, and I'm happy to add my name to the list of satisfied customers.

Just wanted to share my experience with Bytown motorcycle repair and the owner Rob…read more Under no circumstances should anyone ever give him a deposit for any work, he will take your money and leave you waiting for months. That's if he even bothers to complete the work. Back in August 2013 I called Bytown asking if he could do a full rebuild on my RD400 motor. At the time I asked for an estimate for both cost and turnaround time. He said he could not provide one without seeing what the bike needs. OK, arranged to drop off the entire bike (That's what he wanted) and a spare motor. I indicated that I only wanted one rebuilt. He said he was very busy but could get it done. I was very clear with my expectation of having a completed bike for spring... Called him once a month to check on the progress, Sept, Oct, Nov, Dec, nothing.... Jan, he started taking it apart. Gives me a call in early feb, needs cash for parts. Give him a 1K cash deposit (huge mistake) Still won't give estimate on when it'll be done. I still mentioning a spring completion. March 28th he wants another 1K cash, (even bigger mistake on my part) Again still won't give estimate on total cost or completion time. Still indicating a spring completion. From then on I'd call him once a month (trying to give him time to work) only to be told he didn't have time to work on it. Early May left a couple voice messages which never got returned (ignoring your costumers now.... classy) May 26th I stop by and find nothing has been done other than dis-assembly. I'm professional, I remain calm and cool but call him out saying I was clear on my expectation of having a bike for spring (Which BTW is March 21st NOT MAY26th) If he could not get the work done he should have turned me away in August OR at the very least not take a deposit in Feb and March. He then proceeds to lecture me about running a business and that it's a process and I have to wait. It takes the time it takes. Calm and cool, I made it clear that I'm not happy with his service and he is not adhering to the verbal agreement. At this point I realize he's screwing me over, so I started looking into rebuilding my other spare motor myself. Wednesday May 28th Rob calls and says to come pickup my stuff, he's pulling the plug on the project. Claims to have spent the 2K deposit on parts which where packed up waiting for me. I am truly blown away by his unprofessional behavior. Holds my bike hostage for 10months, spends my money and then screws me over by not completing the job. I could have sent this motor away back in august and I'd be ridding right now, instead I have t take time off work to deal with this guy. Buyer beware....
