GE Tree Service has gone above and beyond what they promised to do in the overgrown forest that had become our front and back yards. After walking around with me and then giving an initial, very fair quote several weeks prior, I had to call the owner of this business to let him know that my very fit and normally healthy husband had been diagnosed with a rare and very aggressive Stage 4 bone marrow cancer. I informed him that we needed to put off the tree trimming until a later date. We have five children, so this diagnosis completely knocked us off our feet, and it has been an absolute tail spin to put it mildly. We are currently in Texas receiving treatment in a clinical trial at MD Anderson with the leading specialist. Learning this new information, the owner of GE Tree Service made an executive decision to give us a "new" price for our tree job, showed up with his incredibly professional crew that included a Master Arborist a week later, and left our yard looking immaculate after trimming 11 large trees. Our neighbors and my parents have texted us about the remarkable work GE Tree Service performed on our property. We will be customers for life, and you should be, too! True character is revealed through adversity, and this company has shown their true colors; they helped our family in this time of great need, and we will never forget it. read more

Hi- This review is in response to Shelly N's review. I just want to provide a second side of the story. First of all, yes, my employee bent the "auluminium" not "steel" edging that was installed the week before, and I personnally went back and fixed it to their satifaction. (It was no big deal to fix). Second, we returned for a second time and my 2 employees spent an extra 2 hours griding and cleaning up wood chips to please the customer. Both times her husband who was there was satisfied with what we did. My employees did install a section of the picket fence higher than it was originally because the fence was 15 years old was burried 3-4" under the ground when we removed it. Her husband understood this and said he'd take care of cutting 3-4" off the botton of the pickets. In the end, after all my good intentions to please Shelly she became hostal and unreasonable. I only origanally charged $275 for the stump removal and came back for free (no extra charge for anything even though it should of been $600 total for the stump and root removal that was done). What we did was above and beyond customer service. And I did apoligize that I wasn't able to please her even though her husband was pleased, and said goodbye and hung up. read more

These guys are jaw-dropping good!! Michael and his crew did a fantastic job of grinding out tree stumps that had invaded an old chain link fence for over 25 yrs. I wanted to put up a new cedar fence and the fence folks wouldn't touch the job until the stumps were gone. Work estimates were very reasonable, the crew turned up on time and worked efficiently. Michael's tree guy, Anthony, and his "spotter" also did an excellent job of removing a huge dead leader on a tree, as well as trimming off all other dead branches. The crew left my yard completely cleaned of debris, and a satisfied homeowner (me) that will certainly call them again for future work. read more

With that said, I had ETC come out to quote a trim on a 40 foot locust tree in my front yard. It had probably been 20 years (if at all) since it had been trimmed and was badly needinhg attention. Based on a referral from a friend I called ETC. They were prompt in responding, middle of the road on price and the arborist that came out was helpful and knowledgeable. They came out, did the job, did the job well, and cleaned up nicely. I would use them again.

He was also very communicative about getting our project scheduled (BONUS: he was able to get us started sooner than originally planned). His crew is some of the nicest people too. My son was running a fever for the few days they were working on our yard and they asked about how he was doing each day (one gentleman even asked if he could pray over him which was so unexpected and nice). They are considerate of your space. At the end of each work day, they sweep up and consolidate their tools to one area so it doesn't feel like you're in a construction zone. The finished product is very polished and well done. When there were things I wanted adjusted or trimmed a little bit more, Josh was very agreeable and happy to oblige. And yes, I was that high maintenance client who had a request to add more flagstone AFTER they were done and they were so great to get a team out the next day to make that little addition. And how often does a project come in under budget?? Was nice to see that they are very precise in what they do. We had old grass removed, and old cottonwood tree and roots removed, rocks cleaned and weed barrier replaced, bushes replaced, sprinklers replaced and metal edging added.
