He also likes supporting small businesses vs. big box stores for purchase which led us here. Pulling up to the store it is very appealing with a large kayak selection all shapes , sizes and colors. The grounds are immaculately kept and pet friendly. Aaron and Russ were very experienced in their knowledge about all of the products for sale. My son had lots of questions and we were there over an hour. Other customers came as well and they were patient and attentive. My son purchased a kayak, paddles and paid a small fee to have a rack installed to drive it home. (See pic) They had a lot of tips to share and were very enthusiastic to share them. A side note I went there a few years ago for snowmobile gear and it was the same experience. Their prices are competitive but most importantly we need to continue to support small Maine businesses wherever we can. Also had fishing gear, sports clothing etc.. Look no further.

I am a total Bondi Band convert!…read more I had heard nothing but good things about the Bondi Band before I became a believer but I still didn't bother to give them a try. Why, you might ask? Because I thought $8 was too much to pay for a piece of fabric. I could not have been more wrong. At the Disneyland Half Marathon Expo, my friend encouraged me to at least give the Bondi Band a try. She knew I'd been struggling with finding ways to keep my hair tied back when I'd cut my hair really short. The next day, I went for a walk with the Bondi Band and it was really comfortable. The fabric is light so you forget you're wearing it. After my walk, I kickboxed for a full hour and it stayed on! I couldn't believe it. Every other headband I'd ever tried - even the ones with the rubber - would slip off my head and land on the ground behind me. After kickboxing, I went for a run and the Bondi Band still didn't budge! That day, I went online and ordered 5 more. The black one with the reflective squares is awesome for night runs. They had their printers custom print exactly what i had wanted because they didn't have it in stock. My one note of caution is this: They offer their bands in 2 widths 4 inch and 3 inch. If you have short hair or very thing/ curly hair you definitely want to get the 4 inch. I have very short hair and didn't specifically note on my order that I wanted 4 inch so two of the bands I got were 3 inch. The 3 inch don't work as well for me because my hair still goes all over the place. So be sure to note in your order which one you want. If they don't have 4 inch in stock they will automatically send you 3 inch if they have it and you weren't specific in the size you wanted. However, after multiple times…read morevisiting the store, I would offer 2 suggestions for a better customer service experience: 1) Learn how to spend more time and concentrated time with their customer and less time talking amongst themselves. Even if it's business discussion, it didn't need to happen when someone was actually serving a customer. At first I thought it just must be a very busy day, but even on a slow day, they have that bad habit. Multiple times I've seen this break in their concentration with their customer, it not only led to the customer feeling less important, it also resulted in their error in pricing or ordering and the customers had to remind the employee of correct details of the customer's wants or needs. As a customer, I like someone to pay close attention to all of my details. 2) I was told first 3-4 weeks for glasses and then told "up to 8 weeks." Just give an honest estimate and not an attempt to "just make the customer happy" by it arriving sooner. There's a huge difference from 4 weeks and then 8. The customer's needs should out-weigh their need to look good by stating, "it generally takes about 4 weeks and at 3 1/2-week mark, I'll follow up to check status and call you." Everyone knows that you can't control your vendors, but it's nice to know that you're important enough that the store will go the extra step for their customer. These days with many eyeglass vendors, It would be easy for a patron to use another store or go back to their Dr office for better customer service.
