The one downside was that, as someone who is perpetually early, the lack of signage to be sure I was in the right place made me a bit nervous that I was where I was suppose to be to catch the bus. We hung out in front of the Portland Lobster Co. For a few minutes before others arrived to reassure us we were in the right spot. Overall, this was a fantastic adventure for this beer lover. I learned new things about breweries I thought I knew everything about and was introduced to Bunker Brews and Ice Tea Mead. We'll be back.

There are restrooms and parking on site, although I cannot confirm the condition of the restrooms. Parking in the lot is very expensive if you go before 5:30pm during the summer months. The good news is that most of the crowds clear out by then, so if you're up for an evening beach trip, you can enjoy free parking and fewer people!

It made for a boring weekend. The place we stayed was ok and didn't have very many amenities, the heat in the living room wasn't working...made for a chilly weekend. The staff needs to prepare the guests for a weekend expectation. We didn't need a golf cart but no one mentioned that when we booked the trip. We wasted over $1K for this weekend. We had to fight with the wind but thankfully we won The prices have gone up ($36 per person) but we totally get it as they have to spend tons in maintenance. They do a great job at it. There are many nooks that you can stop at to appreciate the views and different vantage points. Pro tip: no matter how warm it is, make sure you bring a coat of some sort if you're going up. Better if you bring a winter hat. You're gonna need them.

Learning to ski as an adult is both thrilling and terrifying. While happy with my slow but steady…read moreprogress, I'm often looking for ski locations offering trails that align with my current ability and offer a bit of a challenge when I'm up for it. Cranmore delivered just that and more. Lots of greens and blues where I could work on my skills, try trails with escalating difficulty, and still kick back when I just want to enjoy myself and not be a ball of nerves. I also enjoyed the length and variety of their many trails I could traverse. Was happy to have more options than just a quick up and down in a straight line over a full day of skiing. Their main lift was quick and skiers were able to load efficiently. Lots to look at on the way up. The day of my last visit there were several ski competitions going on just next to the lift so it was fun to watch people competing and see spectators make the trek up to watch as well. Ski patrol were out and about and lots of staff available to check in with as needed. The lodge itself had everything I needed... free cubbies to store your stuff, bench seating to change into your boots, adequate table space both up and downstairs to grab a bite to eat, indoor and outdoor gas fireplaces to huddle by, a bar and hot foods, and best of all... a bathroom at the same level as where you can ski up to so no having to navigate stairs in clunky footwear. Drop off area for skis, quick in and out to purchase tickets, simple walk over to a very large parking area. I can't wait to return when the opportunity arises!

My family of four visited Cranmore during the 4th of July weekend. We had fun! It was a lot less…read morecrowded than I expected. There were only two eateries open, so the menu was limited. The mountain coaster was the best part, and we only waited a max of 5 min in line, and ended up riding it 6 times. There was a longer line for the Soaring Eagle zipline and Swing, only because they can only hold a few people at a time. The chair lift had nice views. The trampoline was entertaining, but kinda one note. The inflatable obstacle courses were both scalding hot in the sun and had puddles from rain the night before, so my kids didn't like those. I'd recommend Cranmore Adventure Park for 2-3 hours of fun.

There…read morewas 7 of us, most came up in my fathers 35' RV, we chose the wilderness campsite so we could rage at all hours and not be disturbed by people looking for peace and quiet, great decision! The Wilderness site is about a qtr mile from the main campground and Lodge, which was fine because we would all pile into my buddys pickup and go back and forth. The site was basically a huge field with multiple sites laid right next to the Kennebec River so it was BEAUTIFUL! Def. bring mosquito and bug deterrent (obviously) Not once did any staff member come to check on us which we loved (nothings worse than feeling monitored) RV site had electric hookups which was great for my father so he could relax away from us party animals. The lodge is fantastic, corn hole tournaments, awesome bar with GREAT craft beer! They brew their own beer at the lodge downstairs, it is very delicious. We dined at the lodge our first night after 7+ hours of driving we didn't feel like cooking. Food was A+!!!!! The rafting was very cool, we were a rowdy group to say the least, the guide was very chill and laid back as we wrestled inside the raft trying to throw each other out of the raft even in the middle of rapids (which one of my groomsmen succeeded in doing so with me, it was a rush!) Hitting each other with our paddles, the guide couldn't have been better. Older guides would have screamed at us several times, def. made the experience very memorable letting us bicker amongst ourselves and have fun! It's a total hipster ran place which makes it totally chill, we are by no means hipsters but being around hipsters is never a bad time. Everyone who worked there was cool and relaxed. Not a single complaint! Shower house was clean and water was hot. Def bring gear and supplies, if you run out you're screwed, its about 45 minutes to the closest market of any kind. You're cell phone WILL NOT WORK here!!!!! The wifi in the Lodge is REALLY strong so you can make calls in the lodge once connected, don't expect to be on your Facebook if you're camping, you will be disappointed. Awesome campground! We are doing the Penobscot next year and hopefuly we find a campground as solid as this for that trip (Northern's campground at Penobscot doesn't have electric RV hookups so we can't stay there unfortunately but will use them for the rafting for sure!) We rented the King Pine log cabin for a birthday party. It sleeps 14+! I do have pictures that I will share but the beds aren't made because we were leaving & housekeeping does all of that. We all went to breakfast at their restaurant. Delicious & huge portions. Reasonably priced as well. There's a large hot tub, game room, swimming pool & pool table. Nice cozy couches in this area as well. The staff were some of the nicest people I have ever met. This is an all season place. It is definitely worth the trip!

There was not a lot of shade where we were, but we were in the section that has larger rvs, some of the smaller spots seemed to have shade. It was a nice, quiet park, and also seemed to be very dog friendly. There is a dog park which was a very nice touch, as well as free dog cleanup up bags and a place you throw the used bags. I did not get to use the laundry or the public restrooms so I can't attest to how those work... the cable was great, and was such a nice touch. When we first arrived someone drove us to our site with a golf cart which was also really nice. We enjoyed this park, and would stay here again. I'm not sure of where the negative reviews come from, we really enjoyed our stay.
