This is our go to Best Buy and appreciate it's location and employees. I have total tech (worth the $ to me) and had an issue with an older work computer (not actually purchased from BB) yet they assisted me. I did try online Geek Squad who did a total scan but did not resolve the issue. I made in person appointment and met Jacob who listened to my concerns, took meticulous notes and got to work backing everything up, just in case. Later in day, Chris stepped in and called me to be sure that I was aware they needed to factory reset but assured me the backup files would be restored. 48 hours later, I met again with Jacob who I feel went above and beyond timewise to get everything back on my laptop. Even had to deal with a 3rd party vendor chatting and eventually releasing a download. I so appreciated Chris and Jacob for their time and expertise. Thank you! read more

So I went into the store with a very strange problem. My youngest had purchased (with his own money) a digital card game for the Xbox S series on Sunday at a different location, but it rang up for PC/Windows. Not Xbox. Knowing that digital games are non refundable, I fully expected to have to pay out of pocket and buy the game twice. The staff was amazing. It took a good hour at the register, at one point having 4 people trying to help. Alex and team tried many different options, even issuing a new code for the game. It still didn't work, so they exchanged the card that wouldn't work for an xbox gift card. Even though I ended up paying the difference for the gift card ($10.01, truly not bank breaking) the fact that the employees all worked together to help make the situation right for my kid. I ordered an Xbox series X for my partner for Christmas. The only store I was able to get it from was this location, which is too far of a drive from Winter Garden. I had never been in this shopping center before which is sort of a maze to be honest. The Best Buy is literally all the way at the very back end corner by JCPennys. I did curbside pickup and there were plenty of spots for this. It was the day after Christmas so they were pretty busy so it took a few mins, which was to be expected. (I had used the app to tell me the best time to arrive, which helped.) After a few mins, an employee showed up with the Xbox and loaded it up in my trunk and I was good to go. She was super nice, the transaction was fast an efficient and I was back on my way home. Establishment sends me to the geek squad she's setting the appt for tomorrow & before it's confirmed the appt was taken so can't get in until Mon afternoon. So walked back across the store to the ppl that sent me there finally Mgr Jessica goes over to see if she can straighten out the communication then comes back to tell me she can try a few things so after 30-45 mins no fix still have to wait until Monday to get the phone diagnosed. We've been shopping in this location for over 10 years. I don't come in often and usually only when I need something. Once in a while I do wander through to look at games but lately they don't have very much that I can use. And this occasion I had been looking for a new scale for home and they had in stock the one that I was interested in. I went in and they had a couple of them on the shelf. I checked them out and it sounded right so I bought it and brought it home. It was a Fitbit one which was very easy to set up. My only issue with it is that every time I want to use it to weigh and sync what I'm doing I have to reboot my phone. This is not at all Best Buys fault as it's a problem that has been with this model since it first came out. When I looked them up online I missed this fact but in further searching I found that it's something that they haven't been able to fix since the beginning. It's still a very good scale and we use it regularly. I do turn to shop online for gifts and the holiday season so I'm sure I'll be checking out their sales and specials over the next couple of months and if something is available and store that I want I will stop in to get it. For some major purchases we've made over the years I have always had really good service from the employees. read more

This is a good location with a good amount of inventory and should typically find what you need. Prices are a bit more expensive that I like, but very easy price match process. Return products are a pretty easy process. Easy to get in/out of parking lot. I would recommend best Buy and this location. read more

This review is about the GeekSquad portion of this BestBuy. We set up an appointment for an iPhone screen repair and we showed up 20 minutes late. Without even mentioning it, we were serviced by a great guy named Alex. He informed us of the procedure for the fix and within 10 minutes, he had our phone ready to be repaired. We were told 2 hours and when we showed up an hour early the phone was done! Will definitely be back with any other repairs that are needed. This is a smaller Best Buy, but it's a pretty good one. They will often have items that other Best Buy stores are out of. I imagine because it's not in the greater Orlando area, so it doesn't get hit as much. When we've needed assistance, we've never had trouble finding an employee and they have always been helpful. Nice cashiers and checking out has always been a quick process. We've never made any large purchases from this particular Best Buy (Like a television, computer, etc.); we've always made small purchases like movies, games, etc. I really like the fact this Best Buy is never overly crowded. Well, if I could give zero stars or negative stores for the location in Davenport, I absolutely would. The supposed manager, Kevin, is probably one of the rudest individuals I have ever experienced in my life and customer service. If you want to talk about somebody who lacks any type of customer service skills, it would be him. Not only did I feel that I was discriminated against because of my sexuality(I am openly gay), But also because I am African-American. He talk down to me, and ridiculed me, for no other reason than the way my voice sounded, I'm positive of that. I will be filing a formal complaint with Best Buy corporate tomorrow morning when they open, as well as possibly taking action under our states statutes regarding discrimination. read more

I've honestly never had an issue returning something at Best Buy. Especially if I have my receipt....15 day limit or not. This person and their supervisor looked me in my face and said that they would not give me a credit. Mind you, bought with best buy credit card, have receipt, and packaging. One seal on the bottom is open.... which I'm 99% sure I didn't cut because I never took the item out... Still no, because it was "opened" Then I told him to look inside and tell me that I ever touched it. He agreed I didn't but still said that's against policy ....then why the f*** did you look inside. I purchase the $212.59 Tech Support Package - Then when I came back to pick it up the following days the person at the counter did not explained to me (Alex- Did not even say Good morning, just are you next and do you have an appointment) that the computer was going to ask me for a password. (when I got home the computer was locked) I came back to the store and they told me that I needed to ignored that and press enter. (How I am supposed to know that) I Had to drive back wasted time and more important expose myself one more time to Covid 19. Unnecessary risk for a cancer survivor with a compromised immune system. They told me that the person that gave me the computer was supposed to explained this to me. Unfortunately, Alex did not. Then the store manager Charity and Geek Squad manager Nick got together and gave me a discount of $32.11 cents. (According to them there are no more discounts on repairs even though they screw up the process) Waited another 50 minutes for this discount. (No one cares) Both managers were very policy driven than customer service driven. (exchange with them no more than 5 words) The only Geek Squad team member that showed compassion and it seems truly sorry for the situation is Josh. (He should be the manager) He was very professional to the point, knowledgeable of his job. Based on my 50 minutes experience with Josh I noticed that he was for sure trained by a bigger/giant company in the tech world (which they include customer service as part of their training) and sure enough it showed - He use to work for APPLE. Bottom line goes to another Best Buy Store not the one in Davenport. No one cares, Not even during these Covid 19 times. I've had mixed feelings about this Best Buy, as they have been very limited on a top selling brand. I had decided I wouldn't be visiting this particular Best Buy anymore. When I needed to return an open-box item, I was introduced to Nick, who was utterly amazing. He walked me through a much better choice. Yeah! But then I was told at the return desk that the way I needed to exchange it would cause Nick to not get credit on the sale. Never had a good experience at this best buy! We showed up 1 hour after they started a sale on Feb 12 and they stated that they were not informed properly of the sale and who ever was in charge of buying the sales items did not. So we ended up having to drive to Lakeland, Once we got to the Lakeland store there was an item they did not have and Davenport store had, they told us they could combine the purchase and we could just pick up the item in Davenport. After waiting for over 30 minutes they were unable to get anyone at the Davenport to confirm they had the item over the phone! All around Rude experience with this store! read more
