Was invited out to celebrate a 35th Birthday. Everytime that Ive been out here to rent a Platoon Boat, its been a blast! You do not have to be experienced as it relates to driving the boat, it's literally like driving a car. The staff will give you a quick lesson and a map of the reservoir. I'd highly suggest a later reservation to catch the beautiful sunset, if you're into views and amazing photos. ALSO! Bring your AUX cord so you can jam on your ride

I can not wait to come back & visit again. This was my first time visiting & it was soo fun! The water was beautiful. The weather was great until it started to pour down on us lol. That was fun too. It eventually stopped & we were able to go back out until closing. The crew was nice & attentive. They were very detailed about being safe out in the water. Thanks for the experience.

You can rent a tandem kayak for the entire day for only $20. Single kayaks are $10 for the whole day. The view is not as scenic as I would have liked but for the price you can't go wrong. My husband and I had a very romantic date here then we were able to go to the neighboring restaurants and grab a couple drinks and apps. Great day date. They also provide life vests. Boat rentals are available and all are by the day, not hourly. We will becoming back for sure.

Out on the lake with friends to celebrate my 29th!

    See all

The boat had an aux cord but it was a little hard to hear at times so I used my stereo.

And I did NOT make it easy on them. I showed up with 1,000 questions, 3 moods, 5 budget breakdowns, and the full-blown "I'm about to make a terrible-but-awesome life decision" shakes. I stared at price tags like they personally offended me. I said "Okay but..." at least 47 times. And somehow... they still smiled. They made the whole thing painless, stress-free, and weirdly fun--like a therapy session, but with cupholders. Now we're the proud owners of a 2026 Bennington 20" SSR, and our future officially includes sunshine, water, and a brand new financial motto: B.O.A.T. = Bust Out Another Thousand Worth it. No regrets. See you on the water... if my bank account ever recovers.

The customer service and communication from Sales and Management, specifically Tyler, are quite possibly the worst I have every received on an expenditure over $1,000. Promises were completely broken with a total lack of integrity. I needed to call, text and email several times to get a response. I still have an open item that will now probably not get resolved as a result of this review, but don't care anymore. The purchase of my first boat was supposed to be a great experience but was actually very frustrating and painful. Save yourself the pain and spend $1,000 more with another dealer.

I told him I had a trip planned and needed it ASAP. Earl said he had a gently used part at the shop he could use or he could order me a new one. I told him I was fine with the used one. Earl did the work and didn't even charge me for the part, just the labor. Just recently I was on Lake Monroe and the alarm was going off on the boat and I couldn't figure out why. After about 30 minutes of trouble shooting and my girlfriend yelling at me, I called Earl and he was able to diagnose the problem over the phone and tell me how to fix it. From my experience at Quality Craft I'd say the service has been very professional and honest and I will continue to take my boat there for any maintenance.

Perfect....until we took it out. Boat number 3 had engine issues. I'm not a mechanic, but, I know their pontoons are supposed to go at least 10 mph. We even raced a kayaker and lost. Not kidding. The RPM's would run high but we wouldn't go any faster than 7-8mph. So, therefore we had to deal with large wake from other boats because we were basically idle the whole time. We then were stuck due to the engine not starting. After about 10 min of fiddling with everything trying to figure out the issue, we got lucky and the engine started so we could return in a timely manner. Once returned, we reported the issue and their own employee admitted that something was wrong. We were told to call the next day to figure out if there could be some sort of compensation due to not being able to use the boat like we wanted to. Once I called I was told they couldn't do anything because the boat went above 10 mph when they "tested it out". Absolutely unacceptable. The manager told me that since we "didn't bring the boat back to replace with another one, there's nothing we can do". The reason why is because before we left one of the employees said they booked all of their boats. Stating that it was going to be a very busy day. All in all we were a little dissatisfied with the boat, but more importantly the lack of customer service. We made sure to return the boat in better shape than when we received it (mind you we found bottle caps in the cup holders and mud on the seats). I hope the next customers has a better experience. Happy 4th of July!

Honestly it didn't seem horrible to me,of course that could be because we were told to arrive once the boat was secured for the day. When my husband and I arrived the computer system was down so the attendant said we were to enter free for the day since he couldn't take payments. The day just got better from here. Our friend, whose birthday it was only had a short wait, but to him it seemed long he said. Once he got to the front he was told we had a wait of approximately twenty minutes. During this time, my husband and I found front parking next to our friend's car, thanks to his wife. When we got in touch with our friends car he had us to bring our coolers and sunblock and we all met up at the restrooms where there were a few picnic tables as well as an awning to block the sun. We took the wait time to play a card game and snack. After a few hands of cards we were called back to check in and we got our life vests and saw a short video as well as signed waivers. Nikko was very helpful in getting us onto our boat and with a 'have a great time!' We were off! Peaceful waters for the day and we even saw friends which was a surprise as they were put with their sailboats. All in all it was a great way to spend the day and we would definitely go again!

Signs were posted with Marion County covid rules and said if you are unmasked then you must stay six feet away from people when outdoors. People seem to be obeying and each group kept their distance. You can rent single or double seat kayaks, canoes, paddleboards, paddle boats, Jon boats (a fishing boat) and pontoon boats. Even though a pontoon boat costs $175 minimum for 2 hours folks were renting them. Kayaks were the most popular rental and they had more than enough of them to not run out. We rented a Jon boat at $50 for the first hour, $70 for two hours. It comes with a Honda 10 hp outboard motor. These boats are brand new and so are the engines. Yes, you have to pull a cord like a lawnmower but being brand new they start on the first or second pull. Real easy! Our boat came with a paddle and seat cushions for all three occupants. Plus life preservers are provided free of charge for everyone renting a boat or board and being out on the water. The only thing missing was an anchor so drifting with the engine off became a little bit of a nuisance. The reservoir area from the Marina to the Bird Sanctuary has a ton of yellow buoys marking lanes for row boats. You don't have to stay out of the lanes but just be aware it is something you have to navigate around. They also rent electric bikes for $20 an hour. But they are not allowed on the trails. Check out their web site for discounts and coupons because I missed out. All of their staff was friendly and helpful. And they take into consideration many people are doing these things for the first time. I heard, "take your time" often. Safety was a priority with them.
