We came here on a Saturday to kayak. We arrived early (before 10:00AM) after reading the reviews that said they operate on a first come first serve basis. We had no problem getting 2 single kayaks. The process was very easy and the workers were very helpful. I didn't know all of the options they offer until I arrived. I posted a picture with the options and pricing. I definitely want to come back and try more! I asked about the Pontoon rentals and again they do operate on a first come first serve basis. I believe they open at 9:00AM and the employee said they were sold out by 8:00/8:30AM before they even opened. We only last an hour in the kayaks because it was very hot and humid that day. I would definitely recommend checking out Eagle Creek Outfitters!

It was a GOOD time at Eagle Creek! So I read the reviews and was hesitant because of all the reviews but I figured I would give it a try and try it out. It was a group of 7 total! 6 adults and 1 child (5 years old). All we wanted was a pontoon boat, and we got it. We were able to bring everything on the boat..... speakers, food, adult beverages, paper cups, plates, longs donuts, fruit, and whatever else you can think of!! We did the 2 hour boat and just chilled! It's first come first served. NO RESERVATIONS, so get there early!!! Customer service was great, they were very helpful and catering to their customers. My friends and I agreed that we had the perfect low key boat and we will be back!!! This was the perfect brunch Boat Pros Everything Fourth Of July Cons No restrooms Duration was short

You can rent kayaks (single or double), canoes, paddle boards, paddle boats, or pontoons to enjoy on the resevoir. It's beautiful and the water is very calm. Staff is helpful and friendly. They were cleaning life jackets, paddles and boats thoroughly. It was a great way to get outside for a few hours. Also, we spotted a Bald Eagle that we got very excited about. First time seeing one in the wild!

We just rented a paddle boat with our toddlers and they did great! The front clerks were funny and sweet and helped us get our kids set up to ride the boat. It was only $30 for an hour and was worth every cent! The boat was clean and they suggested whereabouts to check out and helped us as we returned. It's $5 to enter the main park but going on a nice hike in the shade after a boat ride is very refreshing! Next time we will be renting a platoon $150 for two hours. It's great if you can split it with a party no more than 8! We can't wait to come back!

This is great way to spend a weekend afternoon! I went kayaking for a few hours and it was so much fun! They take your drivers license as a hold while you kayak or canoe and then you pay once you get back. They normally open at 10, but when I went there was a special event ... However it wasn't posted anywhere . So after about 10 of us showed up waiting in line someone found a worker who said they didn't open till 11. So beware if you show up and they're closed. It would help if someone just wrote in a piece of paper Or anything. The worker was annoyed and actually complained about us for waiting, in front of us while we were checking out. So just beware of the possibility of having to wait. So customer service stunk, but they didn't ruin the experience! So bring your friends, your family, whoever and enjoy a fun afternoon!

    Enjoying the water :)

As someone who hadn't ridden a bike in over 20 years, I was a little nervous -- but the electric bikes were incredibly easy to maneuver and so much fun to ride! Scot and Cathy, the wonderful owners, made the entire experience smooth, welcoming, and memorable. Their kindness and passion for what they do really shines through. I'm new to Indy, so solving the clues and discovering local landmarks added an extra layer of excitement. Chatting with Scot and Cathy to see if we guessed correctly made our victories even sweeter! And of course, I can't forget the real stars of the show -- Hamilton and Schuyler, the adorable "employees of the month," who greeted us with wagging tails and made us feel right at home. I may be a little biased (our team did win, after all), but this was hands down one of the most enjoyable experiences I've had. Whether you're a local or just passing through, I highly recommend checking them out. Pedego Indy is an absolute gem!

Thanks to being grounded due to Covid, I haven't been able to travel like I usually do, so exploring local has been my only option. Highlights/ Why you need to take a Tour: + It's honestly embarrassing how little I truly know about the history of Indianapolis and what really isn't taught about the state in the local school system. + Sampson's passion for history shows as he tells the stories, often accompanied with photos, during the tour stops. He is extremely knowledgeable and happy to have a discussion and answer questions. + Walk/Talk tours vary based on location (Indiana Avenue and Irvington) and time. During the NCAA tournament, a special Basketball themed Walk & Talk on Wheels was offered in the form of a Trolley tour or on a Pacer's Bikeshare Bike. The Bike tour was fun, but a bit more of a challenge, due to the fact I couldn't remember the last time I was on a bike. + Ticketing is done through Eventbrite and reasonably priced; however, beware, there is a slight minimal fee due to Eventbrite's system + Tour is about an 1.5- 2 hours, based on questions + During tour during Covid times, everyone wore masks and kept to the recommended social distance

I am only 5' and I felt like short people like me were not taken into account when this swan was designed :( I sat in the front to pedal, but i felt like I was too short for it. Had to kinda lean back to stretch my legs more to be able to pedal, which wasn't very comfortable to keep doing for an hour. If you are much taller than me, you'd have more fun comfortably for sure. So I probably won't do it again unless I am with someone who's willing to pedal. They do however have kayaks as well, which I am interested in trying. Overall, good customer service and fun downtown experience.

Anyway had a nice paddle boat ride but it started pouring down rain out of nowhere. Bring an umbrella. There is a pullover cover on the paddleboat that works well but hey better to have an umbrella rain or shine. NOTE: There is NO bathroom available!! Maybe they should try to make a deal with a restaurant along the canal that you can bring your receipt and be able to use the bathroom The staff was nice. Price is OK $44 for an hour if you have someone to split it with. Having a 30 minute option would be a plus.

We booked a tour for the last one of this year. The tour was half walking and half driving. We opted to do the notable crime figures who were buried in the cemetery. Or as the description said: "On this tour, we'll learn about the more sensational stories in the Indianapolis news from the 1860s to the 1970s. A few stops we'll make will be to learn about the infamous Nancy Clem and the Cold Spring Murders; bank robber John Dillinger; the rising executive slain by his mistress in the 1950s; grave robber Hampton West; the 1977 exploits of kidnapper Tony Kiritsis; Dr. Helene Knabe's brutal unsolved murder in 1911; and the Marjorie Jackson case of 1977." The tour was two hours long and we did hit all of the spots the email mentioned. The foliage and serenity of the cemetery was very nice to take in. Our tour guide seemed more knowledgeable on some of the stops than others but it would be hard to keep it all straight. Most of the parts were spaced out so you needed to drive to the location and then get out to walk. Some of the spots walking were uneven. Overall it was a good way to take in the cemetery and learn about some notable people buried in there.
