This place is amazing! Staff is very friendly, clean shop and most importantly great service. My daughter and I went there for bounding time. She had a mani/pedi and I have a full set with gel polish, and also a pedicure. My nail tech took her time with my feet and brought it back to life...lol! Oh, I had my eyebrows done too. Found this place on yelp after a bad manicure from another place in Cherry Hill. I made an appointment for first thing on a Friday morning and they quickly took me, but already had a good amount of customers for them just opening. I immediately noticed the place was clean and the color selection was good without being overcrowded. Ann was the name of the technician who helped me, and I opted for the no chip gel that changed color when cold/hot. The tv was at a nice volume with some low chitter chatter. Ann was fast and precise, and didn't give me an attitude when I asked for her to fix a nail. She was very nice too and we made small talk, as compared to an awkward silence. Prices where good, the only thing was that about a week and a half later, the nail polish chipped and started peeling off. So much for 'no chip'. But it lasted a lot longer than the other manicure I got a few days prior. Good experience overall! read more

Let me start off with this place is perfection! It's under new management by Mimi, and she and her staff are fabulous ! They are all so nice and caring. Always making sure you're comfortable and getting what you want. I had Kelly, one of the technicians, do my nails today (pedi & full set acrylics) and she did fantastic. She was constantly making sure I liked the way she was doing my nails. She took her time to perfect my nails. I feel so bad to give them 2 stars! But the gel polish I was given lacked durability. After missing my appt with my primary nail salon and since I was in need of a manicure, I contacted Gel Nail Salons and asked if they had availability in the next 30 minutes. Thankfully they squeezed me in to which I was thankful. As soon as I arrived, my appointment commenced. The nail tech assigned to me was super sweet and overall friendly. The negative I faced, is the fact that on the second day of having my gel manicure, the tip of the thumb nail polish chipped. I was like okay.. since I am prepared for things like this, I just took the nail clipper to cut and/or reshape then subsequently filed the nail to blend in with the rest of the area. IDK what happened because the next day the same nail chipped again and this time more paint came off! Sheesh!! @ that point I was irked but stated internally the only way one will notice if they stare insanely @ my nails otherwise the error can go undetected and unnoticed. Who was I kidding? It felt like a domino effect, because then the rest of the other nails started to chip too! On day 4 of having my nails done, I was left with 3 chipped nails. As I type my review, this coming Sat will mark two weeks I had my nails done, however if you glanced @ my nails you would think I haven't had them done in over a month. The polish from the left thumb is completely off, the tip of the right middle finger polish is gone, and my right thumb well it mirrors the left. Just insane! Because of that experience I will not be returning. I believe the three coats given and the lack of resilience produced from the polish translated into this mishap. I am literally embarrassed by the way my nails look right now, usually I can go without a refill for a month while also factoring in quality gel polish, because it has happened many times over. Polish would still remain in tact for 4 weeks, but in this instance less than 1 week if polish start to chip, that is not good, not good @ all. I guess not all polishes are created equal.... read more

I've been trying to find a nail salon close to my home. I've been to several salons in my area which were clean and the staff was very nice, but I'm not paying for my gel nails to chip in a few days. Like come on...who's really gonna drive an hour to get their nails done? So I stopped around to a few in the area (it was a Saturday btw). I found my forever nail salon! Not only is the salon clean and very pretty, but Mimi and her staff are very personable and sweet. I can say without any hesitation that my spa pedicure was THE BEST EVER! I have been to many spas/salons in the South Jersey area and they don't hold a candle to Mimi's salon. Rita did my pedicure and she was not only professional, but extremely meticulous. The other plus is, it's literally five minutes from where I live....so it's a win, win situation. It is SO hard to find a good, consistent nail salon. This is the place for so many people, it is not for me. I came here to get a nail fixed because the place that I had originally wanted to go to couldn't take me, I had heard good things about this place, saw some really amazing and I was hopeful. I come in without an appointment but they take me anyway, I asked for a nail repair with gold sparkly polish on the one finger. She brings me silvery sparkly polish and I can't believe I have to argue with someone about what color I want on MY nails. She goes back and forth with me trying to push it on me and even says "are you kidding me?! look this is it!" more than once. Another lady comes with the color I ask for and the matter is resolved. I'm taken to table 5 and the lady starts to work. Every compliment I give on the place is now met with skepticism because they assume I'm argumentative now. So I'm basically ignored and they laugh at me in their own language. Now I want to leave. The nail comes out nice, but the polish job is shit. I say so twice; I am ignored. OK, fine. I get up to go to the counter to pay, and expecting to pay $3 for one nail like it says on their PRICE LIST, she says it's actually $5 because it's a longer nail. I guess you need the fingernails of children to get the prices on their actual list????? How dare I grow out my nails long. Almost as annoying as getting charged more at the hair salon because you have more than 2 inches of freaking hair. Ugh. Never coming back. Disappointing. read more

I went to Gel Nail Salon with high expectations after reading many great reviews but was bitterly disappointed. I hadn't had a salon manicure in years and wasn't sure what to ask for so I brought in a picture of what I wanted. The very nice woman at the counter showed it to another nail technician who told me it's called ombré and would be too expensive. She said I should get a full set with a French manicure and could choose between regular acrylics or liquid gel. She said liquid gel would be stronger so I opted for that. As I was a walk-in there was a 20-minute wait (which I was fine with) but the first technician said she could give me a pedicure while I waited so I decided to go for it. Halfway through the pedicure, she got up and the second technician who said ombré would be too expensive took her place. She finished the pedicure and then led me to her manicure station and started my nails. She began gluing on tips and applying acrylic to them. As I mentioned, I hadn't had one in years but I used to get acrylics every other week. What she was doing looked exactly like what I used to get. I kept waiting for the "liquid gel" part. She clipped the tips to the length I indicated and then SHE got up and another nail technician took HER place. This third technician asked me what shape I wanted and when I said, "coffin," she said something to the second technician who said to me, "Oh, it's too late. You should have told me before." This was the same woman who had been shown the picture I'd brought in. When I reminded her of the picture she just shook her head and said, "Next time say something sooner." I felt I had no choice but to continue so I did. The work this third technician did is the worst I have ever seen. My nails are of uneven lengths and thicknesses, some are too flat, some have ridges, on some the acrylic wasn't applied close enough to the cuticle making it look like I'm due for a fill in, and on many the cuticles are jagged and messy. The technician also broke the skin under my nails in two places, drawing blood in both, and simply patted my hand while giggling and saying, "My bad..." when I winced. Though it's been a while, I've had many manicures and have never had anyone draw blood before. And turns out I was right about the acrylics. Apparently, at some point one of them decided to simply do a regular full set instead of the liquid gel I asked for. I can't blame them completely for the miscommunication as I wasn't able to tell them exactly what I wanted or pick up on the fact that I wasn't getting it and, unfortunately, there was a bit of a language barrier problem. But that's no excuse for such shoddy workmanship! The salon was clean, everyone was nice, and I have no complaints about the pedicure but I've never seen such a sloppy professional manicure. I will definitely not go back and will not recommend it. read more
