After my puppy's evaluation - and having her stay for a week of boarding, supplemental training, and grooming there - I have to say they are awesome on ALL of their services. My puppy is happy to go there every time. She LOVES seeing familiar faces and the employees are pleasant and helpful. We have had to use them for last minute boarding and day care since we started and they are truly there for their clients. I know I can rely on them and they listen to any concerns I have. I took my puppy for intro grooming to another place and that service messed up her cut. Brianna, the groomer at Gemini, is currently helping to get her shape back and she has had detailed conversations with me on how she will help. My puppy is looking adorable again. Trainers there are very detailed and knowledgeable with what they do and how your puppy responds. I think I may go for additional training. Overall, I'm very pleased and would highly recommend them. Now I understand why their evaluation process is so detailed. They truly care about their dogs. read more

My only complaint would be that the Gemini dog campus...yes, you read right...I said CAMPUS, is ginormous and it is easy to get lost while trying to find the campus facility. I highly recommend Gemini alerts new clients of exactly where their facility is located apart from their training facilities beforehand. I spent way too much time trying to locate the office and ended up being late. But, staff here were so nice and understanding! My dog was groomed perfectly and she was truly cared for from that I observed. The grooming session was fast (under 2 hours) and I was notified right away when Movha was ready to be picked up. Mocha was really happy when I came to get her! She was jumping and said by to her groomer (who was very friendly and kind). I will definitely be back to have Mocha groomed here again! Call me a Karen, that's fine but damn am I pissed. Talk about neglect then not owning up to it. I moved to Groton a little over a year ago and thx to COVID, I have only been able to get my dog in with store groomers (Petco, Pet Supply Plus). Fine except the revolving door. Was psyched to find Gemini groomers. Easy enough to make the appointment. Not the easiest to locate (at the end of a giant warehouse). I called and was told how to locate it. Upon walking in I was a bit apprehensive given the smell as I approached the door and fact that it sounded like there were hundreds of dogs in the warehouse barking. I should have went with my gut but really wanted to like it. I want to find a groomer that actually knows and would remember my dog. He left me w/out an issue and the groomer Brianna seemed kind. Plus, 2 hours is not bad. I go to get him and there is not a person in sight. When you walk in, the front has a desk where you greet/pay. Just a few steps beyond, to the right is where I had assumed they did the grooming, then in the way back is where the boarding must be. I waited around the front desk for a few minutes then went to the back. The noise was excruciating. It really sounded like hundreds of dogs barking. There was a sign saying not to go through the doors, so I didn't. I did try to wave somebody down but could not make eye contact. About 10 minutes later, I heard my dog barking along with another one... In the area I thought the grooming was done. I'm short and could not see over the door. When I hit the 20 minute mark I said screw it, opened the side door, saw my dog and one other dog in a row of empty cages. (The side area, not where the crazy barking was coming from). I felt so bad leaving the other dog that was having some major anxiety and really freaking out but I took my dog and left. I did try to calm him...name Jhu Jhu (I think). Light brown possibly a poodle. I waited upfront a little longer then left a note saying I took my dog Jaxwell and to call me for payment. I then proceeded outside, got in my car And waited a little longer until I happened to see an employee. Even though I was now late for work, I went back in. She showed me a small buzzer I was supposed to hit. I hit it and no one came. Five minutes later I told her I was done. She got a manager and I told him what happened. He said nobody would have taken my dog. I told him he was wrong because I just did and I could've taken the other dog. He said they were cameras and I was supposed to hit the buzzer. My first time there, how was I supposed to know. There was no sign that said hit the buzzer on the wall. The buzzer is not that big. Maybe the size of a half dollar. I asked him to please go check on the other dog and he got pissed at me. The front desk clerk then walked in. I paid for my dog and left. I did take a picture of the contact list they left on the front desk for customers to sign. That was my tough dog that I took today. If I took my Frenchie, he probably would've had a heart attack. My experience with Gemini was only with the training service. I had recently adopted a 3-year-old Sheppard mix from a rescue and had her for just about a week when we started training in private lessons with Gemini. She was nervous at the facility, so was distracted and very focused on the door. Michelle was very nice but after 2 private sessions suggested I look for a trainer who specializes in separation anxiety. It seemed to me that we were trying too many different things in one session, so I wasn't surprised both my dog and I had trouble accomplishing much. I wish they had had more knowledge about rescue dogs and how to adjust the approach based on a dog that is nervous but they seemed nice and may be a good option for someone with a puppy or young dog not coming from a rescue situation. read more

We took our two shih tzus for grooming and they came out looking worse than they went in. Hair on top of their head was all uneven. Their tails were not brushed when blowed dried so their hair was all curly instead of looking like a blowout. I would have been OK with all of that if their faces had been groomed nicely but they weren't. Shih tzus have hair that grow around their eyes/nose which can grown and block their vision and even poke their eyes so it's important for it to be trimmed regularly but it didn't look like this place even attempted to groom around their eyes/nose. We tried this place out since we just moved to the area but because my two shih tzus looked horrible, I ended up driving 30 min with my newborn to their old groomer. read more

Please do not send your dog here. They have at least a 100 dogs a day. It's loud and crazy. My poor baby peed at home for the first time after he went there. Would not get out of the car without a lot of encouragement. The staff turnover is huge. The noise Is deafening. The owners are "randomly" there. I miss Gemini Doggie Day Care! This is a gem in the rough. It is a little hard to find since it is in the middle of what looks like an industrial park but once inside it works. The staff is amazing. So nice to me and my pup and the owner always contacted me via phone and email when I tried to call to make drop off and pick up arrangements even after hours. They have various size crates for each dog to stay in when they are not out to play. They offer training, grooming, day care, and boarding. They really helped me to socialize my little dog from having big dog syndrome. I did bring my own food and they did a great job with it. I once boarded at a place that didn't keep track of the right food and my dog was p**** all over the house for days. So trust me that you want your pooch to be on the same diet, labeled, and fed correctly! They have a double gated entry which I liked since it limits the bandits like mine who are super fast and trying to head for the road to hitch hike a ride. read more

Awesome! They have a new groomer whom does a great job for our 4 Shelties. We own a number of companies throughout New England so it's difficult to schedule ahead. They will make accommodations for us last minute. It's convenient to be able to drop them off in the AM and pick them up as late as 10pm. Thank GDs you guys are great. read more

Gemini Dogs is absolutely wonderful! Everyone who works there is extremely pleasant and knows you and your dog when you come to drop them off or pick them up. Someone is always there 24/7 to care for the dogs and they have convenient drop off and pick up hours. I asked Michelle to come to our home for an individual training session and we were extremely pleased with her instruction. We are first time owners and it shows, and she was patient and kind. Worth every penny! We now take our pup Ruby to puppy classes and even though she's a handful, the staff at Gemini are patient and kind with her as well. They are also responsive to our calls and emails. We have learned so much and feel like we have a much needed community of support. Gemini Dogs is outstanding. I can't recommend them highly enough. Every member of their staff is friendly and helpful and can tell you who your dog played with and how s/he did each day. Daycare is open 6am-10pm which is absolutely amazing and has saved me so much worry when I get stuck at work late. The dogs are always supervised, even when boarding overnight. I haven't done a training class at Gemini yet, but I am planning on it in the future. The classes I've heard when picking my dog up sound very well-run. Archer loves going to daycare here, and I know he's going to be looked after in an active and thoughtful way. Again, I can't recommend them highly enough. My dog Clifford loves his daycare at Gemini. He's very excited about his experience with Gemini since the second day. He was a little nervous the first day, like going to school for the first time. He's been going whenever I can get him there since 2015. He knows the people and he has his dog friends in play groups too. Everyone treats Clifford so well. It's a home away from home, and I know I can leave him in Gemini's care for overnights whenever I'm traveling on vacations. Should mention that my first dog went to Gemini too, for almost 15 years. I brought my dog, Fresco, to Gemini for two obedience courses. Their Flex Plan was a great option for me due to my schedule and gave us a total of 16 one hour classes. Our second course was a little shorter, but just as enjoyable and included an intro to agility and rally. The instructors were great about working on things at each dog's pace. We were never bored and all the practice with distractions has made a huge difference in my dog's response to commands in the real world. My favorite thing about Gemini is that they use positive training methods. Not only did my dog respond very well to this, I also enjoyed and kept up with the training because of it. I have been sending my dogs here for years. They always come back with happy smiles on their faces! I had my dog Isaac's nails done here and they looked better than mine when he came back. I had them boarded for xmas last year and they came back with THE CUTEST dog bandannas on their necks, it was adorable. We have never left our dogs before, but we were getting married and going on a honeymoon so we needed to. We had to board them for 7 days and I was a nervous wreck. We went for a tour and the staff was so friendly! Our dogs were excited to meet them as we'll which is a good sign. Of course when it was time to drop them off I was so sad. I was tearing when I left. I called the next day to check on them and they said they were having such a good time. While we were on our honeymoon they sent pictures to my email of our pups playing and having a blast! It was so good to see. My parents picked them up the day before we came home and they were exhausted, which for my younger guy, is a miracle and wonderful!!! They were in a such a good mood and you can tell they were really taken care of. We will soon be sending our younger guy to daycare once a week just so he can have fun!!! read more

Not impressed at all with this organization. The first time I called no one called me back. I was inquiring about day care and boarding. After I called them back again I was told there was no present openings but I did fill out the application in case one opened up. Then I received an email there was in fact an opening and to call for a tour. The gentleman that answered the phone said someone would call me back in two hours. No one did. Then eight hours later the office manager called. Not interested in sending my dog there if they cannot even return phone calls to new clients in a timely manner without excuses. Also, they wanted a fecal sample within the last three months. They are $40. My dog had one five months ago and that was not acceptable. No thanks Gemini dogs. I had a reservation booked and will give them my business instead. read more

Brodie loves Gemini dog care, wagging her tail like a tornado when I say we're going there , and jumping into the car. Since she's an older lady I am grateful that not only does she get playgroups, but those groups are separated for age, size and temperament so everyone can have a good time and play safe. Our puppy, Messi has been going here since she was 4 months old. We first started her in the puppy social class and found it very helpful for her to learn to interact with other dogs and humans. Because of our friend who moved away, we needed someone or somewhere to take care of Messi during our long hours of work. We found that Gemini Dogs to be a perfect place to leave her. They are opened 7 days week and from 6am-10pm, you can't beat the timing anywhere else. And if you run late, there is always someone in the building that stays there over night and the dogs are always under supervision. Other places are from 8/9-7ish. Which really doesn't work for our lifestyle. My husband and I can really see and feel that their staff really truly love what they do and care for our Messi as much as we do. Just to name a few amazing staffers; Jess, Penny, Brian and etc are great to her and so friendly! So from one dog owner to another, put your mind and heart at ease that the Gemini staff will take care of your precious like their own. We only hope that in the future they will have a "doggie cam" where the pet owners can see how their dogs are doing during the day. read more

I picked up my dog from boarding at Gemini recently and she was so happy, that I felt I should write a review for others. I have used Gemini for boarding, day care, and one training class. The beginner training class was quite thorough and the program was solid. I know because I learned things, such as door behaviour, that a friend never did in her class at the MSPCA. Boarding works. It is not ideal, but your dog is kept safe, gets outside to take care of business, and is taken care of. I have found that during busy times, such as 4th of July, the dogs do not get as much exercise and attention due to the numbers. Yet, they do accommodate many dogs and will fit yours in, unlike many places. The food arrangement, although not as convenient to set-up, does ensure accurate feeding for my dog, and I would rather have an efficient safe feeding time. It is more expensive to board here than 3 other places I've used. I can tell that they try to keep costs down, and the staff work hard to keep the place clean and dogs rotated outside. Which gets to the big plus of Gemini. The staff. Michelle seems to find people that can afford to work there, and love the dogs. When I board my dog at other places,(they are less expensive) the staff have to pull her by her collar, with her looking back at me saying "no!", into the back. At Gemini, she practically breaks down the door to get in, pees on the floor sometimes in excitement, and is happy. Bottom Line. Cons: more expensive than other places for boarding, very noisy sometimes on pick-up/drop off and can't speak with staff if there are concerns, doesn't look attractive to us humans, setting up little food bags is tedious, not sure about how integrated some dogs get with others, Pros: my dog loves this place, the basics are covered well, staff do a terrific job keeping the place sanitary and running as smoothly as possible, billing is automatic to a credit card, they offer many services, I have seen them give dogs temporary shelter- showing a commitment to the dog community. read more
