Definitely call ahead (even if it's the day of) to schedule an appointment as there are only a few technicians. She took her time so don't be in a rush - it's a spa you're there to relax after all! My nails were dip powder, uneven surfaces and not uniform by the end. Not to mention my nails were SO incredible sensitive for months after they bled through to my skin after getting the dip off. She had electric filed them down to the skin practically. Gosh, such an awful experience. The place was extremely unsanitary (unsafe), the floors looked like they had never been cleaned, and the table I sat at wasn't even wiped clean. I even took pictures of my nails. Also, it is very dirty. Even the fake plants have dust on them. Blue lights for gel mani treatment is disgusting. Watch out!

My nails were clumsily, she filed them Uneven, and cut me pretty significantly while trimming my cuticles. She applied a solution to my cut touching it With the applicator and then reapplied the top. Unfortunately, I could not hear the woman's name. I went to the salon today and asked to speak with a manager, and actually met with the owner (Mr. Carmen- apologies if that is not the correct spelling). He listened to my tale and asked if I could wait 10 or 15 minutes and he would have one of his stylists fix the issue. That stylist ended up being a wonderful man named Jesse Z. He was able to diagnose my issue immediately and assured me that bobs are his specialty. He was not lying. He was able to make my hair look great. But Salon Alure did not just simply have someone fix the problem. When I was checking out...they not only did not charge me for today's fix (which I expected)...they gave me a gift certificate for my next visit as well. I certainly did not ask for that, nor was I expecting it. I must say I was pleasantly surprised and appreciative. I know everyone has a bad day now and then, Lord knows I have had my share. But my experience today with Salon Alure has renewed my faith and I look forward to my next appointment with Jesse.
